Elements Massage

I popped in there as they had a offering for a $ 39 walk in special. And wow– was i ever happy that I did. I was assigned David, and he was awesome. I told him I’d been staying in a hotel and my mattress was kinda crappy and my back hurting. He went to work with his special trigger point service and I felt better immediately. if you’re in the area, give David a try!

I bought a Groupon for a 60 minute massage based on Element’s claim it was «the highest rated in the industry.» The website shows prices for 55 minute massages (logical since it takes a few minutes to converse, undress/​dress.) My ⁶⁰⁄₅₅ minute massage started at 4:02, and finished at 4:43. There’s no clock in the room, but I have a pretty good internal one, and it sure didn’t seem anywhere near an hour. Imagine my surprise when I got dressed and saw the time. As I left the room, I asked the therapist if she knew it was only 4:43, and she said «oh, do you want me to go for another few minutes?» Having already dressed, and not being overly thrilled, I declined the offer. As I left, the front counter person asked me how it was. I told her that finishing a 60 (or 55) minute massage in 43 minutes wasn’t my idea of truth in advertising. Her comment? «Oh, sorry, but it’s only supposed to be 50 minutes hands on.» No mention of the «Elements Promise» that’s so prominent on the website, no oh, shoot, our mistake. Hmmm, Groupon says 60, website says 55, now she says 50, I got 41. My first trip to Elements, and my last!

I’m not a frequent « Unilocaler» so when I post a review it’s usually an amazing experience or a buyer beware scenario. This is one of the amazing experience reviews.
My wife and I have had massages at independent spas, resorts, and other more conveniently placed competitors to Elements. Stress and pain relief are what we are seeking in a quality massage, not to be pampered. We’ve had great massages at luxury resorts but who can afford that every month??? We’ve had mediocre massages at the other strip mall locations.
Elements combines the quality of a high end resort/​spa massage while being conveniently located near the places we shop. All while keeping the price point very reasonable. I think they were about $ 5-​$ 10/​mo more vs. Massage Envy. We cancelled our Massage Envy membership years ago after being bounced around from therapist to therapist who did not leave us relaxed/​refreshed.
Overall: nice inviting atmosphere, friendly/​warm front counter person, phenomenal therapist, great value, & follow up.
