New China

We ordered carry out and ate at our condo. The dining area is very small and this is a typical strip mall carry out style restaurant. The fried rice looks like orange colored rice, not fried at all and tasteless. The chop suey was watery and lacked flavor. Egg foo young was the best dish we tried. I won’t be coming back to try again. With Chick Fil A in the same complex I’d rather eat that every day than come back here.

Very disappointed. Don’t waste your money. The beef and broccoli was horrible. I’ve never had beef like this before. Yuck

Probably top 3 worst Chinese food I’ve eaten. Chicken is hard and it taste old. Very disappointed

The food was good, but customer service was very poor. Ask for water 3 times. The lady at the counter only was interested selling bottled water. I ordered the lunch special that comes with soup and I had to ask for that too. I had asked for soy sauce she just pointed where it was even though she walked passed the condiments. When I received the bill it was high because this sneaky lady adds her tip in. I will not eat at New China again since I go to Florida a few times a year. This lady needs an in-​service on how to give good customer service and to smile.

The only reason this place gets three stars from me instead of one or two is the location and their hot & sour soup. Obviously it’s located steps from the beach and many of the big beach resorts, so location is great if you’re a tourist, or, if you’re a local, it’s right next to the Publix supermarket so a convenient stop if you’re shopping. Then you have the hot & sour soup. Most Chinese fast food joints produce what is mostly a piss poor hot & sour soup that’s too thick, flavorless or has any number of other random issues that make you want to pour it down the sink. This restaurant’s hot & sour is actually pretty decent, so that’s a pleasant change, and I stop by to grab some regularly.
As far as the rest of the food, it’s pretty run of the mill. The General Tso’s chicken is more batter than chicken, and somewhat bland. The szechuan chicken is decent but far from spicy so you’ll have to handle that if you like some kick. It’s also a little pricy, but so are most things on the beach.
Now, what really sets this place apart is the woman who could only be the owner of the place, because if she was an employee, she’d have been fired a long time ago. She’s always at the front counter handling the transaction, and it would be quite difficult to find a more cold and grumpy person in a service role. If you get a thank you out of her, it sounds forced, but don’t worry, normally you just get a grunt and your change. I try to be nice, smile, say hi, etc.; still nothing. The only thing I can come up with is that her misery somehow magically produces good hot & sour soup!

I only give it three stars because the food was good. The woman in the front had a negative attitude toward every customer in there at the time. I’m going to assume she was just having a bad day but from reading earlier reviews this seems just usual.

Very very good sesame chicken — best we have ever had. Pretty decent seafood dish, however a little too fishy — did not quit taste right. Crab Rangoon left something to be desired. Still very satisfied with the meal.

Why oh WHY did I leave a damn tip for that mean & rude lady that takes your order. I will never be back because of you. You were visibly miserable when taking my order and I was the only one there! You have had to put a sign on your bar that says «CHECK YOUR ORDER! REFUNDS WILL NOT BE GIVEN!» Yet when I checked my order in front of you you acted unessesarily agitated. Not to mention, the best part… how you stared at me & begrudingly literally threw the sauce packets into the baskets on the counter. 3 each. I bought $ 40 worth of your greasy food & you’re going to try to bully me when I ask for extra duck sauce? WORST SERVICE ON THE WHOLE BEACH! Overpriced, Greasy, & that woman behind the counter is nothing short of AWFUL! Get out of your restaurant. Your going to cause it to close!

Its fucking garbage and they have the nerve to charge for the fortune cookie and they will charge you for the egg roll or soup that supposed to come with your meal. Not to mention they are over fucking priced. They charge way more than the 7% sales tax. .way more.

Not good. Very disappointing! Would not EVER come back or recommend. Sorry, I tried to like it but this is just nasty Chinese food! Party of 6 all agree…1star and that’s being generous!

Now that I do not live and or eat at this place again, I will finally tell you how I really feel about this place. The woman is so standoffish that I don’t want to even pay her for my food that I ordered. I immediately have buyers remorse because of the customer service. Now they have jewelry crap all over the place.
CUSTOMER SERVICE WILL BRING YOU MORE BUSINESS!!!

Really good, family run authentic chinese food!

Your typical Chinese take out, not overly great but not bad either. The egg rolls are really tasty — cant help you w anything other than the fried rice or General Tso. Good enough for me while watching football or movie night.

We called this restaurant around 30 minutes ago. My wife asked if they would deliver to Treasure Island. Their response was «only if the order is at least $ 50, otherwise you can order from someone else.»
Wow, that’s service. You can bet we will never call again or visit this establishment.
