First off, crab pretzel was good. My experience though was ruined immediately upon arrival by the host who was rude(following a simple request to sit by the water when there were tables available). I found the staff to be unprofessional and gossipy and will not be returning again. Grow up.

On the bay and outdoor seating only. We had the chicken sandwich topped with crab, the blue cheese bacon burger, and a chicken quesadilla(not on the menu) and all were tasty. Staff was friendly.

Good outdoor spot that’s nice and casual — bar food and drinks and kid friendly. Be prepared to roast in the sun though… or bring a sombrero.

Service was horrible! We arrived about 8 on a Saturday evening and was told it would be a ½ hour for inside and a little longer for outside. I was perfectly fine with that. We took a seat at the bar, I ordered a coke, my girlfriend ordered a wine. The wine can quick and I was told they had to change the tank for the coke. I asked if they had unsweet tea but was told they ran out, so I stuck with the coke order. As we sat waiting for our table three groups of 6 people came in. One must have had a reservation because he was told the table was ready, and he said he would call the rest of his party and they would be there in 5 minutes. The other two groups were walk ins. I know this because I heard them ask if they had reservations and they replied no. After the second group went back we started to get frustrated, the third group was taken back and that was all it took for me to leave, we had already waited 30 minutes and 3 groups went before us, 2 without reservations. I paid my $ 9.35 for a glass of wine and a coke that appeared just as we got up. The manager came to talk to us and explained«he had to take his reservations first», I called him out on it and told him I heard them say they didn’t have reservations, do he turned to my girlfriend and tried to get her to have us stay. I guess they prefer larger parties. Oh well had a great dinner right next door.

My fiancé and I stopped by for a drink after spending the day walking around St. Michael’s. We were immediately seated right by the pier, and a friendly waitress came by a few minutes later to take our order. We didn’t try the food, but the cocktails were excellent. Great service, delicious drinks, and a relaxing atmosphere on the water. Definitely try the«dirty banana!»

We loved our time here. A young man was singing in a Wednesday evening and our drinks rocked. We only had drinks so can’t dibble on the food. Servers are gorgeous and so sweet. Will be back.

Awesome location and good selection of fresh craft beer. As expected from outside location, plastic cups for beer.. but definitely reduces the enjoyment(go buy some hard pint glasses!). View is hard to beat; atmosphere relaxed. Service friendly. Could do better for a few veggie options.. only a basic salad and some forgettable pretzels. Good family spot.

St. Michael’s, MD. Have been here before. Very good and on the water front at the dock level. They used to have a fire pit but this time on Columbus Day they did not. Would be a nice touch to bring it back.

I’ve been here often to drink and listen to friends play music. Today I ordered the fish taco(more of a burrito). I was skeptical because so many places fail at making one. I was not disappointed. The fish was perfectly cooked, the pico was fresh, the island dog sauce wasn’t over powering, and they melted the cheese by putting the burrito right on the flat top. Hands down the best fish taco I’ve ever had. I highly recommend it!(The black bean salad was a great accompaniment)

Great place to drink but not so much a great place to eat. The food was pretty unspectacular. The fish taco as they call it is more like a fish burrito and has cheese on it. Fish and cheese should not go together ever. My better half had the burger and wasn’t impressed either. I guess in a pinch this place would do. Looks like fun to hang out with friends.

We are locals and had never been here before this weekend. It was actually exactly what we were looking for. Casual atmosphere, reasonable prices for a tourist area, nice view, competent service, and a wide variety of good craft beers at $ 5 – 6. We were looking for a new place with a view after being disappointed by the Crab Claw restaurant several times. We were there in the early evening so more of a laid back dinner crowd with a mix of young to old, families, couples and sailing types. The crab pretzel was decent with the crab dip being better than the store bought soft pretzel. Tuna sandwich good and crab cake good for a $ 15 price point. Not jumbo lump or anything but reported to be local crab meat. Sides not good. Black bean salad in 2oz cup with a weird taste and same for cole slaw. Kettle chips come prepackaged. Looks like the bulk of cooking operations occur in an outdoor kitchen with a grill so they’re limited in what they can do, but it’s not that hard to make good cold sides that can be served quickly with a more decent portion size. If you want to have a few drinks and a sandwich with a view, this is a good option.

Service was slow, food was decent, beer list was better. Not mind blowing, but there are certainly worse ways and places to while away a few hours. Drinking on the dock by the bay is never a bad option, especially in a town as quaint as St Michaels.

We went here the night prior to the St. Michaels half-marathon lat year and did not have a great time. We went looking for a bite to eat but ended up with a ridiculous wait, very loud and obnoxious guests. The food was mediocre at best(frozen burger patty) and the staff had a tough time getting our order right. Not sure we’ll go back.

Great location, huge beer list, good island style bar food. Fish tacos awesome, Cuban Cobb salad good, crab pretzel rich and unique. Our server is most likely high but we still got what we wanted.

Didn’t eat, just drank… but this place is everything I had hoped for and more for a fun bar in St. Michaels. We walked down from the Town Dock after dinner, and rolled into Foxys. Lots of people, yet also lots of places to put them. As a person who generally hates getting jammed into tight quarters at a bar, this made me very happy. We ordered shots, and beers, and quite honestly got hammered and the bill came to $ 50. The service was a bit tricky. Even though the bar wasn’t exactly packed, it was tough to catch the eyes of a bar tender. They were really sweet though. Also, the place closed down far before I was ready to… say 10:30p-11p-ish? We could have hung there all night.

Food was ok service was ok… view was nice… it was just ok… in a town that everyone claims to be a tourist trap …but they roll the sidewalks in at 5pm

This is a great little stop in St. Michael’s IF you are looking for a casual, fun, harborside, deck party. The food is good, exactly what you would expect at such a place: burgers, mussels, crab pretzel(tasty, and enough to share), and chips with salsa. That said, it’s great that the libations menu is about four times as long as the food menu! Of course, we were there early in the season(they open in April, yearly) so more nibbles should be listed fairly soon, but, again… this a casual, fun, harborside, deck party! So it’s perfectly appropriate.

Wow, I’m surprised at all the negativity in these other reviews. The girlfriend and I came in from Annapolis to spend a day in St. Michaels, and after a couple of hours walking around and checking out the places on Talbot Avenue, we made a turn for the waterfront, and came across Foxy’s just as we were ready to relax for a bit and have a couple of drinks and a bite to eat. Let’s get this right out front. This is a little, dockside bar and grill in a small town on Maryland’s eastern shore. It’s a fun, but very laid-back place that’s a mix of locals, tourists, and the maritime crowd. It’s patio-style furniture, and plastic cups and dishes. If you’re looking for sophistication; this is not the place for you. If you’re looking for instant, 5-star service by tuxedoed waiters; this is not the place for you. If you’re a 20-something who thinks you’re the shit and are looking for a place to party it up and get wild and crazy with your bros and ho’s; this isn’t the place for you. If you’re looking for a fun, casual, relaxing outdoor setting with a friendly crowd to kick back with, and take in a few beers or other drinks and some decent bar food, Foxy’s is it. The deck where everyone sits has the best view of the harbor of any eatery on the waterfront. The servers are local, college-age girls and guys who are friendly and attentive, and they do a pretty nice job of keeping up with everything, though like any place that gets busy, you can wait a little when it’s full. The menu is limited, but they do a nice job of preparing what they offer. The caesar salad was fresh, and not overdressed. Perfect. My girlfriend ordered the fish tacos. We’re recently in from southern California and we know our tacos — these were really good. I ordered the steamed mussels, and received a generous portion of fresh, plump, delicious mussels and a couple of pieces of sourdough toast, which I really enjoyed. We’ll be back. Count on it.
