FedEx Office Print & Ship Center

Chris was very helpful and even added an extra layer of protection for my package. This is a big location who offers full service printing too. Been here before and like it! Not sure why they have a one star, so I’m writing this to help them out.

I hate to do this, but this facility is another example of the rude treatment I have come to expect in the Kirkwood/​Des Peres area.
I brought a large box to ship, which I had packaged myself, and asked the attendant if she could come help me with my box because I wasn’t sure if it was going to be acceptable due to the size and proportions. There was a sigh, an eye roll and an, «Okay, but we probably ain’t gonna be able to do it though,» before even walking outside. She came outside with me as I explained what was in the box and where it was going. She took one look and became even more annoyed. Apparently the box was not packaged per their specifications, which is not a problem with me, but there is no reason to be rude about it. I just needed some guidance with packaging, which tape was permitted and how to rectify the problem. She told me the shipping line goes 150mph or more… which is total bull… and that my package would be a hazard to everyone else, which I accepted as a truth. Again, that’s why I was asking what I needed to do. She told me they couldn’t do it, but if I took it to the location in Maplewood they might ship it as is, which made no sense. If it’s against the shipping rules in Kirkwood, why would it be different in Maplewood, isn’t Fedex a nationwide shipping company? She didn’t offer any assistance with repackaging. I saw they sold boxes inside, which she didn’t offer to sell me. I just felt she was trying to get rid of me.
She was pretty much done with me after that and walked away from me, back inside the store, where she resumed spreading her bad attitude with the rest of the world.
I will never go back to this location again, and I will do my best to keep other people from experiencing the same dismissive and insulting behavior. If I use Fedex, I will go right to the hub in Earth City and circumvent the Print and Ship centers.
