Best subs in town PERIOD. Fresh gourmet bread and ingredients. Skip Subway and have a better sub. The place is very small so plan to grab your sub to go. They have subs on their menu, but will make what whatever kind of sandwich you want.

Staying at the Holiday Inn … Looking for an afternoon bite… Perfect choice Tomato Basil soup and grilled Reuben sandwich… One of the best anywhere! Highly recommended!

Subs are yummy and you can customize! Like that you can order online and they deliver. Downfall is that it takes at least 20 min.

Ordered 2 sandwiches & a salad to go. Quite impressed. Very fresh, high quality ingredients. No wilted lettuce, mushy tomatoes or frozen/wet cucumbers here(as with other sub shops). Ditto for the meat. had a cheesesteak & a pastrami. Grateful I didn’t have spit out a hunk of chewy fat due to low quality, processed ‘meat’(as with other sub shops). They’ve done miracles with the cheesesteak, as theirs was NOT soggy with grease & wet from the cooked veggies(which cheesesteaks are notorious for). I appreciated the razor thin sliced meat & veggies for a more evenly dispersed bite, inclusive of all sandwich ingredients, versus biting into a large chunk of something that deconstructs the entire sandwich. Pleasant cashier that actually made eye contact, small talk, smiled & humored me through my first time, high maintenance ordering(Im the pain in the butt that gets everything on the side). Congrats! Urban sub has won over this picky diner.

There’s a secret to Urban Sub: GETTHEGRILLEDSANDWICHES. If you don’t, you’ll be overpaying for«meh» deli/boring sandwiches you could easily replicate at Quizno’s or Subway for half the price. This place is a tad spendy for sandwiches too. That said, if you get the stuff they actually cook, you can’t go wrong. I’ve been 3 times, and gotten the Chipotle Pork each time. This last time, my girlfriend and I went together and we split my usual with a cheesesteak, flavorful and packed full of fresh veg. Both were awesome. The Chipotle Pork is always tender with a nice kick and the cheesesteak was absolutely fatty, chewy goodness, though to match any other cheesesteak, could use more cheese. Total for us is always $ 20 when we both go, so again, it’s spendy for sandwiches, but worth it when you feel like not-cooking but having something quick, simple, and accessible.

Delicious sandwiches and very friendly service! I always prefer local spots to chains, especially when they’re just as fast and reasonably priced. The new Cassidy — warm grilled chicken & cheddar with lots of veggies & chipotle mayo — was so tasty and satisfying but not too greasy. Fresh ingredients and lots of flavor in a welcoming spot. I’ll be back next time I’m in town.

GREAT food and fast, friendly delivery. The delivery charge is only a dollar — normally I won’t order delivery if it’s extra, but a buck to save me a drive was alright with me.

Mediocre sandwiches and way overpriced. Got a fruit cup to supplement my sandwich. $ 1.50 for a few slices of the cheapest fruit. I could have bought the entire melon for that price.

I come here often for lunch as I work close by. They have some awesome sandwiches and the staff is fantastic. They recognize me when I come in and always seem to be very genuine. Keep up the great work and I will continue to come back for the great food.

I discovered Urban Sub after coming across it on Groupon and it did not disappoint. The service is great and every sandwich I’ve had here has been delicious. I especially recommend the cheese steak or the BBQ brisket if available.

Best sandwich shop in Minnesota! Soups, desserts, salads and sauces are homemade from scratch. The meats are cut in house. They even use some organic produce, and if not organic I believe everything is is sourced locally. The Reuben and the Urban Club are the BEST! Not to mention they make the best chipotle mayo ever. Soups are flavorful and amazing! LOVELOVELOVE Urban Sub! Incredible quality, service and subs are always packed full, never skimped.

If I could give Urban Sub 6 stars, I would. Best Reuben in Minneapolis for the price, and maybe period. All house-made salads and desserts are fantastic. And… They will deliver an $ 8 order for FREE! What!?? This is hands down one of the finest businesses in Mpls. Only complaint is I wish they were open late night! But honestly that’s a drop in the bucket, and Urban Sub smashes it.

Very great fast quick to-go subs, fast and friendly customer service! It’s a little hard to get to as you can’t really get there from 100 or the Park Place Boulevard by the West End. I usually just go through the parking lot by the Dover/hotel, but this is great fast, quick to-go food in the West End and the best sandwich place around there!

This place is great. Super friendly. The dine in space is a little small, but order ahead and take it with you if you need. Clean place too. I usually go Reuben my first time. He suggested the #1 pulled pork. Great call. I’ll get the Reuben next time.

What sets this place apart from the competing sandwich places is the fresh ingredients! This is especially evident in the bread, which is so much better tasting than what you will find in all the chain sub shops. My only complaint is the pricing with most sandwiches coming in at or near $ 10. Still, a price I am usually willing to pay to get a great tasting sandwich with good ingredients.

Solid sub stop with some good combos. Wasn’t overally impressed by the size of the sandwiches but flavor was on point:) Check Groupon for a deal! Also the workers there were great! #2 and #9 were great choices

Great subs, they do deliver, good spot for a sandwich if you are watching the movie at west end, way better than the subway in west end

My God, this place is just wonderful! The array of gourmet subs and sandwiches listed on their menu is amazing. Hot or cold, made the way you want them. Don’t like pretzel buns? Put it on a French baguette instead! Hold the tomatoes? No problem! Had seen their shop since they opened up back in 2014 in what was formerly a Subway space(kind of ironic, huh?) but at the time I was a fan of Jersey Mike’s subs and really didn’t think that this new place was going to be around long(yeah, yeah, shame on me!) Decided on a lark one day to check out their online menu and was very impressed by the types of items they offered and thought I’d give them a try out. Very glad I did! First off, when walk in there, whomever is working behind the counter says«Hello» and welcomes you. Second, the place is clean… really clean. It’s a small space with some tables which can probably seat 10 – 12 customers total and there are 2 – 3 tables outside of their space if you want to relax outside while eating. Enough about that, it’s the food that keeps me coming back. Have been there now 5 times and counting. Best sandwiches that I’ve personally tried are: chipotle pulled pork on a ciabatta roll, chicken ranch on a French baguette, smoked turkey melt on a pretzel bun and a triple cheese grilled cheese that is the gooiest bit of heaven I’ve ever had… make sure you get it with bacon, it makes it just that much better! They used mixed greens on their sandwiches, not shredded iceberg lettuce. The bacon is thick cut, not paper thin. The tomatoes, onions and other vegetables look and taste as though they were just delivered from a local farm. The various breads they use look as though they came from Byerly’s up the road. The sandwiches themselves are a full meal… piled thick and high. There’s no skimping on anything at this place. Awesome soups to go along with any sandwich order. They’ve got great desserts as well with a good selection of cookies and bars. The brownies are perfectly delicious, their rich and gooey carmelitas bar will make you want a second one and their chocolate frosted peanut butter rice krispie bar just melts in your mouth! Despite living within walking distance of: Subway, Jimmy John’s, Jersey Mike’s and now a recently opened up Which Wich?, Urban Sub is THE only place I go to now if I want a great tasting hot sandwich or sub, some soup and a sweet treat for afterwards. If you want a cheap, bland and thrown together sandwich, go visit any of the chain shops. If you want a gourmet sandwich that you will really enjoy and rave about, come to Urban Sub! You’ll pay a slight bit more, but after you have one, you won’t care at all. They are located between Yangtze and India Palace which all share an area of parking which can make it difficult to find a parking spot at certain times.

I ordered a Ruben sandwhich. First of all, the parking was a mess, as we had to park down the street. But once we got in there I would say that this is one of the better sandwhiches I have had. However, perhaps it’s because I read too many reviews, but I felt somehow expected more. I would reccomended this place to anyone that wants a good sandwhich.
