Wow, what a beautiful space!!! Firstly, the fact that they use Oribe products will leave you feeling like a supermodel. The line is highly exclusive and difficult to find because they’re very selective about which salons they allow their products to be used and sold in. The space is very modern elegant-industrial, neither particularly feminine or masculine, but with a cool aesthetic that leaves plenty of space between stations. The service I received from Katharine was a blowout for New Years Eve, and she listened carefully to my minimal requests(not much volume on top and light hold hairspray) and gave me a fabulous experience that was very memorable. She also got excited about my hair color(it’s currently a pastel lavender-silver, faded out from purple) and started telling me about their new Wella line of chromatic pastels and how she had a vision of what we could achieve with them, and so convinced me to come to her for my next color which is 2÷4÷2016, the day before my birthday(serendipitous)! Overall I could not have been happier to make a new friend and regular stylist, and I can’t wait to write a «phresh» review when I have the color appointment!(I’m so sorry I couldn’t help myself). Could not recommend any more highly!

I went to phresh in August and had a horrible experience. I got gels removed and then a regular manicure. I had to wait in the waiting area 20 minutes past my appointment time. The manicure was also horrible. You could see the layers of the polish. It was very chunky on the edges. After reviewing my experience through the salon sending me an email me they called and asked me to come in for a complimentary service to make up for the bad experience. I was able to go in about a week and a half ago for the service. I got gels removed and a new set put on. The only good thing about the experience was scheduling my appointment. They were very helpful with that but beyond that it was not good at all. My appointment was at 6:45 and I didn’t get called back until almost 7. The gel manicure was not good. I asked to keep my nails squared and she rounded them. She only cut my nails she did not get rid of hangnails or anything like that. She missed several large areas of several of my nails with the top coat of the gel polish so they are not shiny and are chipping majorly in those areas. 2 days after the manicure I had 2 nails that had already chipped. There are bubbles and wave lines in a few of my nails. Overall, both of my experiences were very poor and I would NOT recommend phresh salon. Go to Glamour Nails right down the street instead!

Like many of you, finding a new hair salon/stylist in a new city is a painful and almost scary process… especially if you have had the same stylist for the last 9 years out in Los Angeles. The task seemed daunting and annoying. After much Unilocal and interest search I decided to give this place a try. I was looking for a warm atmosphere, great products, and super stylists. I was looking in particular for a stylist who I thought would know Asian hair. My long time stylist in LA was Asian and loved that she really understood how to cut and color my hair. As a result, I really wanted to try out some Asian stylists first here to see if I could find a good fit. And low and behold, I think I found a great one right off the bat. Layne is awesome-friendly, low key, and experienced stylist. I researched her on the Phresh website and really liked her profile and her experience(she’s a level 3 stylist) and also seemed to have a lot of color experience. For asian ladies — the asian orange is our worst nightmare. I booked a cut/trim only first to get a sense of her and see if it would a good fit. Everyone at the salon was very welcoming. Front desk staff was great. My appointment was on time. Layne took the time to find out my hair routine — what i realistically was able to do for work and not — and then cut it to work with my hair. She also gave me some tips as far as styling based on my routine. She didn’t try to upsell anything which was great. Although they carry Orbie and I wanted to purchase a product she had recommended based on my request… and they were sold out so she gave me a sample. I talked to her about color and my history with color and she gave me some great recommendations as far as what she would do. I have my first color appt with her next month and can’t wait.

Let me 1st say this post is solely based on my gel manicure experience I had at Phresh. Myself, my mom, and sister all went into Phresh for gel manicures, and also had blow outs. The blow outs were great — no complaints there. All three of us were disappointed in our gel manicures. The 1st three colors that I selected where not available. This alone wouldn’t have upset me, I’m a pretty understanding person and was happy with my finally color. Although I would suggest that if colors are not available customers should be informed before hand. Both my sister and myself had to nails repainted after the gel paint did not settle. My sister had to ask to have her nails redone as her nail technician didn’t point it out. After over here their conversation my nail technician stated that she have to redo one of my nails because it also didn’t set. My manicure was ultimately uneven, too close the cuticles, and because of this started to pile off a couple days later. My mom also left the salon with a nail that was ruined, but do to time could not be redone. Here’s my advice. .. . take your $ 50.00 gel manicure and go to Juut. Their skilled nail technicians,(who only focus on nails) will take care of you. You wont regret this. Sidenotes: My blow out with Rachel was great, all employees seemed friendly, I simply won’t come back here for any nail service.

I love Phresh. I go here regularly for my hair, but I am going to focus this review on my wedding experience. If you are a bride-to-be considering Phresh for your day-of beauty… do it! I came with my entire wedding party on the morning of my wedding and it could not have gone better. Ashlee did my hair and Stephanie did my makeup — both were flawless. My hair tends to fall flat very quickly and I have no idea what Ashlee did but it held the entire day and through the evening! The staff was ridiculously accommodating — most of my ‘maids had originally wanted blowouts, but decided day-of that updos were the way to go. Even though there is a big difference in timing between those services, the staff somehow managed to fit it all in and some girls added make-up that day as well. Overall, the experience was so easy to set up(Emily was super responsive via email), we had so much fun at the salon and the services were fabulous. I cannot recommend enough. Thank you Phresh West End!

I’ve had two great experiences at Phresh! This is the first time I’ve ever repeatedly returned to the same salon. Prices are clear and all the stylists seem super talented. I’ve had two level one sytlists for hair cuts and they made me feel confident with the fairly dramatic changes in length I wanted. First time I came in thinking I wanted almost 13 inches cut off and was gently talked in to leaving a little more length that I had anticipated. The. best. choice. My stylist could tell I wasn’t ready for my full commitment of a lob. I loved my cut so much when I left. Fast forward 6 months – I decided to go in for the lob and got 6 more inches off. I love it, but am so glad I waited. Taking those babysteps made me feel confident in my decision. I loved the way both stylists styled my hair – something I haven’t really found at another salon. PLUS the Phresh rewards program is great! For every person you refer you receive 15,000 points(or $ 15 towards a service) and 2,500 points for rebooking at your appointment. Love that incentive!

Avoid this salon! While the aesthetics are pleasing, the talent is lacking. There are other weaknesses such as organizational, scheduling and communication errors by staff. Stylists are in the dark about costs of services and products. I had a terrible experience with Rachel, and have recently met 3 others with similar experiences. Rachel is very sweet, but very inexperienced when it comes to technique and knowledge regarding color and cut of fine hair. She claims fine hair is her specialty. Maybe in her dreams. Molly is the only qualified stylist but in my opinion is overpriced. I recommend Spa Blu in St Louis Park, where each stylist has 20+ yrs of award winning experience, the prices are more reasonable, the energy is more relaxed, and free parking is more accessible.

Wow, what a great experience I just had at Phresh! A phancy experience at a really phair price. I was so impressed with the space. And how nice everyone was. And then they took me to this lounge area to sit and then got me a hot cup of cophee. Geez! Seriously this wasn’t like a normal get your hair cut type of experience, this was way above that. It’s so beautiful in there, and they have the best music playing in the background! I’m picky about who cuts my hair and where i go(my Mom was a stylist for 30 years) — and they did a phabulous job. I highly recommend them. I’m going back phor sure! OH — I guess i forgot the important part — I received one of the best hair cuts i’ve ever had.

Rachel is really nice! She cuts my hair ½ an inch once every 8 weeks for $ 30 and it includes a really nice head massage. I’m trying to grow my hair out, and change my style a bit too. I really appreciate that I can trust her to be conservative and slowly work towards a better shape. The products she has recommended are pricey but I’ve liked them so far. I could take or leave the shampoo and conditioner, the shampoo doesn’t lather amazingly with my hair, but the conditioner does feel great. I really love the hair lotion she recommended for dry and wet hair. They have nice camomile tea and the rest of the reception staff were friendly too. I found myself lost chatting with them. I’m a really happy camper. :)

I couldn’t be happier with my visit to Phresh at West End! I had completely screwed up my color and ran in there without an appt begging someone to help fix it, and Molly was a miracle worker! She immediately brought me to her chair, evaluated to mess I had created and came up with a plan to fix it. They had a huge nail party going on, and she graciously squeezed me in between her other appts and made me a priority. When she was finished, my hair looked spectacular! She not only corrected my color debacle, but made it look better than it’s ever looked. I would highly recommend this salon, and specifically, Molly!

I first came to this Phresh salon this past January because the Grand Ave location was booked. welcomed by the staff. I had a haircut that took a little longer than expected due to a treatment I decided to receive. While I was getting my haircut the owner was making a Caribou Coffee run. He asked me if I wanted anything and I declined(already had my coffee that day) but he returned with a gift card for me! How nice! I also love Lauren for hair. She is a great and realistic hair consultant! Thanks Phresh!!!

I was thrilled to stumble on Phresh as I was trying to find Omaha steaks(it’s next door). I am not able to only stick with one salon because of my schedule. First off, it’s a beautiful space with a ton of natural light. So far I have had 2 pedicures and a blow out. All the services were outstanding. And everyone I encountered was friendly which is not always the case in the salon world. The salon has a great vibe, and you know how important that vague sense is if you’ve ever been the prisoner of a salon with a diva stylist vibe. The waiting area is very upscale and tranquil with lots of snacks and beverages. I am adding Phresh to the top of my list and putting the word out because their location in an «alley» at West End is a bit challenging. Next I am going for a cut and color and I have wouldn’t risk it if I didn’t have total confidence. Again, I am absolutely gong back and spreading the word.

Very nice salon/spa — welcoming, upscale, beautiful and relaxing interior. I really enjoyed my services and the staff is great. I will definitely be back!
