I just had the greatest weekend at RustRidge B&B. It was a vacation that exceeded all my expectations from start to finish. Thank your Jim and Susan for making this such a memorable experience; Lilit and I can’t wait to visit again ASAP. Your property and accommodations are top tier; breakfast was delicious, views of your vineyard were immaculate, and the company of your dogs, cats, and horses was awesome. Thanks for including us in the processing of the 2015 petite sirah harvest! We had loads of fun. Till next time, cheers!

My husband and I stayed here for the weekend and we will definitely be back. The owners are such sweet people and it’s a beautiful ranch. Perfect place to relax. It feels like visiting your aunt and uncle because they make you feel like it’s your home too. Breakfast is amazing! There are adorable cats and dogs running around everywhere. Beautiful horses to see. And of course, their wines are delicious! No cell service/wifi, but that adds to the charm of being off the beaten path.

My friend found this place after long hours of research and invited me and couple of friends to celebrate her birthday here. The place is off the road which was nice(no crowds) and the ride was beautiful pass the lake and vineyards. B&B is so nice in a secluded area and everything about it felt so authentic! They have absolutely beautiful horses that we could pet and some friendly dogs(labs) that became friends with my little dog. Just a warning that if you are NOT staying in a cottage, which is located separate from the main B&B, you cannot bring your pet with you. The owners Suzane and Jim were so welcoming and laid back. There were snacks and wine(their Zinfandel is REALLY nice) in the afternoon and then we spent the rest of the day by the pool. Later we were doing bbq and the owner helped us to start the fire(we wouldnt know how to do it ourselves so that was HUGE) using wood. The next day we had breakfast in the morning which consisted of fresh fruit, yogurt, potatoes and omelette with sausage and mushrooms, freshly squeezed OJ and coffee. It was delicious! Later, Jim gave us a tour around the vineyard and also showed us how to take care of grapes. Overall an amazing experience and i would definitely come back here again and again. P. S: There is no phone reception/wifi but it was great to relax and not worry about the outside world. We did survive, so you will too :-)(There was a phone in our room we could use if we needed to).

We spent a lovely weekend at this B&B to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The grounds are spectacular and exceeded all of our expectations. We stayed in the Rustridge Room where we enjoyed beautiful views and a fireplace. The rooms are pretty rustic which we didn’t mind. Jim and Susan set us up with massages with Mona, who was fantastic! They offer wine and Hors d’œuvres in the evenings and giant, delicious breakfast each morning. If you’re looking for a romantic getaway off the beaten path, this is the place for you! And if you’re an animal lover, you will be in heaven. They have retired race horses, beautiful labs, and even peacocks! They also have several cats. Being that I don’t love the felines, I had my concerns, but those cats know their audience and stayed clear of me. They were, however, very affectionate with my husband, the cat-lover.

My girl and I stumbled upon RustRidge as we were exploring the countryside. We really enjoyed the Zinfandel and the company(the owners chatted with us as we tasted). They waive the tasting fee when you purchase wine. It is about a 30-minute drive from Napa but a great trip away from the busy vallley. They also have a bed and breakfast that we didn’t stay at but would like to when we return. I’d recommend checking out Lake Berryesa, which is a short drive from the winery.

What a beautiful place and an unexpected pleasure. A perfect getaway in a truly wonderful place. Great people and great wine too, a perfect spot to get away from it all.

not a bad place to taste a little wine. it’s a bit up the road from the other vineyards, maybe 20 minutes from the main streets up the windy roads off deer park. the thoroughbred race horses they raise there are nice to look at although they do not integrate the horses into a tour or in any part of the tasting besides the label on the wine. that was a disappointment but you can stop the car and pet a few friendly horses on the way in or out. the racehorse red was a standout in my opinion but the whites were flavorful as well. they offer complimentary 5-minute chair massages which was kind of a treat. the dog was funny just laying there but don’t get your hopes up for the tasting room being too palacial. it’s functional, not vegas.

Wine and horses, it just doesn’t get any better! One feels immediately at home with the owners; Jim & Susan who have made Rust Ridge a World Class Winery, Bed and Breakfast(hosting travelers from around the world), and they manage to raise & train first rate Thoroughbreds to boot! It is the best experience you will have, hanging out with the grower and winemaker, while tasting wines that will take you to a new level of wine appreciation. Their beautiful ranch is just 20 minutes from Silverado Trail(turn at 128 –Sage Canyon Road off the trail) It is a pretty drive that will take you back to where you want to be! Race Horses and fabulous wines=a perfect way to spend the day!

This is a great Napa winery that is off the beaten path. It is located about 15 minutes off the Silverado Trail, past a charming lake then up a windy road. Not a winery to hit near the end of the day unless you have a dedicated designated driver. If you appreciate rustic style tasting rooms where you can actually speak with the wine makers about their wines then you will enjoy this place. Wine consists of cabs, zins and a chard. I left with a couple reds. Loves the eccentric wine maker; aside from his growing duties he is also a horse jockey. So yes, the tasting room is located in a ranch filled with horses. The horse jockey wine maker signed our bottles and posed for my picture like nobody’s business.
