Excellent service with excellent food. Had a great time and will defiantly come back. Kit was our server and did a great job answering our questions. Thank you!!!

Stopped here for lunch when we found out that absolutely everything else is closed on Sunday in St. George. Lucky for us we weren’t disappointed. The atmosphere was comfortable and casual. The food was great. I had their steak sandwich and it was amazing. The only thing I’d add is mushrooms because I love them. The flavors were great and mixed well. The fries were even really good. My wife had the fish and rings. Her fish was tasty and flaky. The tartar sauce had a nice spice to it. Her onion rings were crunchy and flavorful. We asked for ranch which complimented them nicely.

Great place for a date night! This is one of my favorite places in St George to go on a date with my boyfriend. We both love to have a nice dinner, drink coctail and listen tolive music, especially jazz, and George’s offer all of them! Their grilled chicken sandwich is so delicious ans the margarita is perfect! The price is a lil bit pricey for us to come often though. But I’ll definitely recommend this place!

Great burgers. My only reason for knocking off a star is that I think they use tap water(and the water here in St. George is very hard) for making their iced tea. Not a huge deal but when you’re an iced tea junkie like me you take notice of something like that. Restaurant has a nice interior, two levels, and I understand they have live music too. Food looks and tastes really good. The staff is very good too.

I love it here. It’s one of the nicest places you can find in Saint George. I am not a fan of their burgers every single burger I have tried has been dry and lacked flavor however every single other thing I have tried has been really good especially the drinks and their dessert and their nachos

Great service & food. We walked in a few places nearby but George’s had more people, which was a good sign, so we stayed & were actually seated right away. We requested seating at the bar which Im glad we did. The live music on Sat night(2 person band, male & female), were amazing. Made the experience even better. Live music always is more fun! Our bartender/server was awesome too(female, possibly Amanda). Lots of drinks to chose from & the desserts were soo good. Had the White chocolate banana bread pudding & the Carmel custard. Love that they had Vegetarian options too & even had on the game :) ** TOTHEOWNER– The only thing I would recommend is getting more comfortable stools for the bar. The wood was a little rough. If you want patrons to stay long & spend lots of money on drinks. the wooden chairs kind of hurt so a cushion or better chair might be worth the investment @ least for bar seats. :)

I got food poisoning from this establishment. Reported to the State of Utah Health Department. Just looking out for my fellow Unilocal’ers. UPDATE: Management has collaborated with me to ensure the root cause of the issue has been addressed. In addition, has taken precautions to prevent any issues in the future.

Great place to eat breakfast. The pancake sandwich was huge, should have shared with the husband but it was good anyway. Server was super nice and we enjoyed the complimentary biscuits and ordered a side of sausage gravy– yum!

Good food and great service. In our group, the orders ranged from salads to sandwiches to burgers. Everyone one use enjoyed what we ordered. The service is very good and we had an enjoyable time. We were not rushed which is great when are with a group. This is on our list to return. If you are visiting from out of town, the location is perfect for lunch or diner and a nice stroll around town.

**Update** I’m updating this review because I was contacted by the restaurant. I’m not changing my review below, because that was the experience I had. However, the restaurant owner very sincerely apologized for my bad experience and also wanted to use my review as a chance to improve service. I can totally respect that. Original– This is the third time I’ve been here, while passing through town and staying in a hotel about a block and a half away. The first time was just for beer(and spiced it’s because of Utah’s ridiculous liquor laws), but the second time was for dinner. The local beer is good, and the spinach salad I had was good. This time, however, I was hungrier, and I ordered the black bean burger and paid the *extra* two dollars to have the sweet potato fries. When the plate showed up, I could see the fries were soggy with oil. They were mostly undercooked, shiny with oil, and un-salted. It was like a first time line cook had made them. The black bean«burger» squished out of the bun with the first bite I took. I don’t mean the toppings or condiments squished out, I mean the burger. It wasn’t a burger, but a squishy mash of black beans, sweet potatoes, and other ingredients. In all fairness, it tasted alright. But, it was impossible to eat. Halfway through eating what I could of the burger, and fewer than half the fries, I asked for a second beer. I should have just paid the bill and bailed. As I got about ¾ way through the beer, I realized the glass had something, I have no idea what, stuck to the inside bottom of the glass. An almost entirely disgusting experience. Thank dog the beer was good. ZCBC Red Altar.

Cozy little restaurant with solid menu selection and good desserts! Great place to hang out & do some work if you’re able to get the comfy leather couches on the bottom floor. All in all its a bar/restaurant we will come back to again next time we are in the area!

The food was really good! Service was excellent. Good live music. and priced just right. No reason why this place shouldn’t get 5stars… I had a lovely evening here!

My wife has to eat gluten free. Both times we’ve been to this restaurant the wait staff has gone overboard to accommodate her. As promised, everything she ate was gluten free.(We’ve been mislead at other eating places. If she eats gluten, she has serious stomach cramps for 3 days). The wait staff understands the customer. The food is good. The drink and beer selection is superb for a Southern Utah establishment. Fun place to dine with friends and family.

Sometimes the service can be a bit spotty, but honestly, the food is well worth the wait! I’m obsessed with the lamb burger and sangria margarita! If you’re not in a hurry, I highly suggest this little gem.

I was staying in St. George while hiking in Zion National Park for a few days. I found this place through Unilocal because I wanted a heartier meal. I ended up coming back again. I read the complaints about service posted here, but my experience was completely different. I thought the servers were very kind. They offered suggestions, explained why they were required to ask if we were eating before serving us a couple local beers, and even offered to give us advice about the area as they could tell we were from out of town. My first server Derek was especially kind. The food was also great. We ordered the fried chicken with green beans and German potato salad on two separate occasions. The half chicken served was a local smaller version with succulent and savory meat. It was fried a perfect golden brown. The seasoning was excellent. The meat was very hot and had clearly just been pulled from the fryer. The green beans were perfectly cooked: not too soggy, not too crunchy, just the right amount of garlic. The potato salad was great even for people who usually dread potato salad. It was tangy, had no mayo, and featured lovely small red potatoes packed with flavor. I also ordered a rib eye with chimichurri one of the nights. I asked for green beans and sweet potato fries as my sides. The steak came exactly like I requested: medium rare. It was topped with crispy red onions. It would have been better with a little more salt, but I’m a salt fiend. The chimichurri, while not quite authentic(and I’m an authority on this having Argentine family and having traveled there many times through our my life), was still solid. Both sides were generous. Yes the sweet potato fries were not likely made in house, but they were good. We also ordered the lamb burger. That too was good. It came with freshly pickled vegetables and other fresh toppings. It was very flavorful and not too dry, which can be a problem with lamb. It was also huge. The serving of fries was small, but that’s only because the burger was so big compared to the plate! The house salad was also quite good, though it could have used more pecans and maybe a couple smaller pieces of pear through out the salad. Still for five bucks, this is the best house salad I’ve seen. The house made chicken soup, while good, did not live up to the rest of the food. I would have liked a little more salt. It also needed something to kick it up a notch from being above the canned stuff to amazing. It’s definitely way better than the canned stuff, please don’t mistake me. It just could be better. But if that’s my biggest compliant about this place, that should tell you how highly I think of it. Please keep doing a great job!

Visiting St. George, Utah for the Saint George Marathon. My family and I were searching for a good place to eat with some live music & good cocktails. We happen to stumble into George’s Pub after hearing some soulful music coming from a restaurant. We walked-in, the hostess greeted us with a big smile, told the wait would be 20 minutes & were luckily seated in front of a live jazz band. The Short Rib Ragout, Buttermilk Fried Chicken, Fried Calamari & Baby Back Ribs were delicious. We had a very kind server and the cocktails and tap beer did not disappoint. All dinner entrees are big. The desserts look tempting but were very full after the filling dinner… maybe next time.

George’s never disappoints, whether sitting into the upstairs dining room or down at the bar. The staff is super friendly, if a little harried, and happy to share advice about the menu. Tonight we were in for Monday night football and had a fine time. They have a broad selection of beverages and a good pub menu. Most of all it’s comfortable. Good food, good people, and you are a welcome guest. Enjoy.

Probably a 3.5 stars if you go with the ratings system. My friends and I were here for a meeting so we went out to dinner based upon the recommendations of the hotel staff. Located in the downtown area(I guess, never been to St. George before), it was a cool looking little gastropub with a bar and some tables downstairs, and a raised dining area upstairs. The place was fairly full on a Sunday evening, and we ended up sitting at the bar. Service 5⁄5 — Everyone working behind the bar was great. Courteous, and helpful. Food 3⁄5 — I had the short rib tagout bowtie pasta. It was good, but nothing spectacular. Could have used more cheese, and the short rib lacked flavor. My friends both had the ribs, and while it was a huge portion and loaded with meat, they were a bit dry, lacked flavor, and the sauce was too heavy. They did enjoy the hush puppies that went with it. Overall, nice place, clean, great service, mediocre food from what we had. A few TV’s for watching sports. A slightly limited beer menu but did have some good ones. I had a Wasatch Raspberry Hefeweizen which was pretty good. I’d eat here again, but would try something different on the menu.

Ok so… The first thing I feel I need to mention is that even though AAA has this place listed as one of its restaurants that you can get a discount at, the owner(I assume) didn’t seem to know anything about it. Not sure where the fault lies there so I won’t count this fact against them. Bonus! This appears to be one of the only places open on a Sunday evening. There was some good potential. Good location. Cool atmosphere. And a decent little menu. We’d been driving for many hours and were hungry and tired. The prices seemed reasonable and I ended up ordering the club and Blue got the philly. I had a choice between a house salad(which came with all manner of fruit and nuts) or fries. I wanted a simple salad with Ranch so my server suggested I get the wedge instead. It was a dollar more and from what I can tell… Less expensive for them cost wise than the house. Odd. Blues sandwich was pretty good. Decent amount of meat and cheese, though still what I would consider a more petite sandwich. My club on the other hand, seriously disappointing. When I picture a club, I think of stacks of meat, what I got instead was literally two thin slices of Turkey with a little bacon and avocado. The most frustrating part of the evening was how long we had to wait for our food. Having ordered 2 sandwiches we didn’t image it would take very long, but we were wrong. I’m not sure if they were short staffed or if our server forgot to put our order in, but for how long we waited, and what we got, we weren’t terribly impressed. This place gets great reviews, and maybe if we had tried one of their awesome sounding desserts it would have made the wait worth it. Overall it was kind of a miss for us. Not a bad choice by any means, just not a super great first experience.
