I have been stopping here for 15 years, and it is always exactly the same. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
This is a typically shabby bar just over the Wisconsin border in St Croix Falls. They even still allow smoking inside! I first came here with a very close friend, so this place has special meanings for me. It was nice to stop and recapture that wonderful time in my life. But alas, good things must end, but The Kassel Tap carries on.
Actually, this is a classy dive bar. They have 2 kinds of pickled eggs —– SPICY & NOT SPICY, enough said.
If you pass thru, stop for a cold beer, but don’t expect anything crafty. Not happening. But, expect a friendly bartender, and friendly patrons. And a clean enough restroom.
