The food was delicious, the ambiance was great, the Santa was nice, and the jazz band was delightful. But a few hours after having eaten there with my entire family a few of us got very ill. We’re thinking it was food poisoning from either the scrambled eggs or the fruit. Those are the only things that all of us are that was the same. Now I’m out a day of work right before Christmas. Very disappointing.

We decided to try Garden Atrium’s Sunday Brunch using a coupon. We went on a cold and cloudy Sunday in September. The restaurant is inside Pheasant Run Resort in St. Charles. By the way, there are swimming pools inside the restaurant! But they were closed/screened out on the day we were there. I am not sure how would effect your dining experience. We were seated right away. It was a bit cold(since it is an atrium!). I think it would be very nice to go there when the sun is out. The first thing that I noticed was dirty glassware and silverware. Two(one coffee cup and one water goblet) out of eight(there were also glasses for orange juice and champagne) were dirty. Two silverware(forks) out of eight(teaspoon, knives) were also dirty. Our waitress was very friendly, attentive, and helpful. She was gladly replaced our dirty cups and silverware with clean ones. I think the restaurant needs to either replace their dishwasher or the detergent, or hire workers to do them manually. Coffee was decent. OJ was freshly squeezed. They were very generous(too generous?) with the champagne. Brunch options include, salmon, hot stations with typical breakfast and some more(chicken, beef, fish, potatoes, veggies, rice, sushi, shrimps), salad bar(including a few different pasta salads), omelet station, dessert tables, baked goods(breads, muffins, cookies, pastries). I didn’t try everything. But, the ones we did try were good. They were not spectacular. I had better and I had worse. I do think that it is overpriced. I suppose they need to charge $ 28+/person to compensate for those who drank the champagne excessively. I am not sure I’ll ever go back. If you prefer quality over quantity, GA’s brunch will not be a good choice for you. Tried: salmon, baked fish, fried diced potatoes, bacon, made-to-order omelet, fruits, desserts(flan, chocolate pastries, mini fruit tart) Didn’t try: sausage, shrimp, waffle, French toast, salad bar, fried rice(and other dishes on the same table), quesadilla, any of cookies, muffins(and other baked goods on the same tray), sushi, any of the pasta salads.
