Why 3 stars. Well it’s a buffet so that automatically takes away a star. Only reason seconds star was taken was because the cook at the hibachi grill was watching videos on his phone rather than paying attention to cooking. The food is better than some other buffets around. I will be going back.

By far the best variety of any chinese buffet in all of st louis area. Since its a buffet obviously not everything will be super fresh but they do a good job of making sure they do not run out of anything. Only thing I have a gripe about is the service here. The servers usually do not refill your drinks and if they do its one time. Id give this place three and a half stars if I could but that is not an option. Overall the buffet and hibachi are worth it.

Great place to eat. My family love it. We will be coming back. And I’m going to let all my friends know about it.

Very large selection of food. Most of it isn’t that great but there are some good items. They have crawfish and frog legs during dinner. The frog legs are awesome when they bring them out fresh.

Absolutely not worth the money. $ 12 because we had water and a large portion of the food was cold. I think I may have tried nearly everything and couldn’t find anything that I enjoyed. I’ve been disappointed here before and wouldn’t have come back, but a friend suggested it and I caved. Stupid me.

Buffets aren’t my thing, but I had a meeting here, and it was lunchtime. I think buffets make it difficult to specialize in memorable recipes that wow us. And well, all the little kids serving themselves and untold germs from so many people reaching in for the same thing, lol. The servers are invariably hard to track down and perhaps it’s hard for me to even offer an objective review. In any case, our server was indeed not very available, as if she dismissed us due to the fact we were clearly having a meeting. Not an excuse in my opinion. I did try a few desserts, but I don’t get how I can try four of them and not one truly seems worth the calories. How difficult is it to perfect a brownie? My entrée selections were okay but I wish a buffet like this would leave the customer saying, «Oh, I need to come back for these _________!» Hibachi is inexpensive, so it was no great loss.

This place really has slid… Offerings aren’t as good as they used to be, they removed shrimp off the lunch buffet, and the fried rice is now plain. Everything I ate there today was pretty meh; doesn’t seem like they are as busy as they used to be, and they’ve raised the price to boot. Still is the only semi-decent Asian buffet place around St Charles and not a bad deal for about 8.00.

I am not a big Buffett fan however; I visited hibachi grill today with couple of friends. They have one of the best food selections that I have seen in a long time. The quality of their food is way better than some of the other buffet style restaurants that I have been too. That literally have something for everyone, they have tons of seafood, including fresh sushi, made to order stir fry, tenderloin steak, a large salad bar, pizzas and an abundance of desserts plus your traditional Chinese food. The even had oysters, which were very very good. The white fish was very fresh and flavorful. The food was hot and fresh. Everything that I ate was much better than some of the other similar restaurants that I have been to in the past. If you have not been to this location you should definitely consider it. The restaurant itself was very clean, the staff was friendly and the bathroom was also pretty clean. The only reason I am giving them four stars instead of five is because we had to ask a couple of times for refills, other than that it was a pleasant experience. I would definitely go back if I am in the area and hungry for a lot of food.

I went on a Sunday around 12:00. I had several of the traditional Chinese chicken dishes. The chicken was dry and over cooked in every dish. Although there are lots of items at this buffet, there wasn’t much variety of Chinese items. I was very disappointed. I’ve definitely had better.

Umm… Yeah. This place really doesn’t have a lot of Asian options on the menu. It’s just American food with some Asian food. The food isn’t that great either. It’s got little to no flavor and is loaded with salt. I don’t think I would be going there any time soon again. It’s just not good. There are other Asian buffets that seem to be better than this place in the area that are more reasonably priced.

Pretty much your average Asian/American buffet place. They have a great selection of food, plus unlike most of the other buffet places, they got a decent dessert selection(including ice cream cups). Great selection of fried foods, sushi(even though they weren’t marked… so who knew what I was eating?), noodles, etc. Service was great, but the food was probably 5 on a scale from 1 – 10. Most of the stuff was bland, and the rice was dry. So that’s where they lose points.

This place was awsome. Lots to choose from. The food was excellent as well as the price for all the choices. Service was excellent as well. I would eat here again and recommend it to anyone. Restaurant and restrooms were clean.

My father, his girlfriend and I went to the hibachi grill and buffet we loved the cleanliness, the prices and the food we also brought our friends there and they have been there repeatedly. I would like to add I would bring my coworkers there.

My husband and I were traveling through St. Peter’s on our way to South Carolina. We stayed across the street from this restaurant at the country inn. This place is supposed to be «hibachi» and a buffet. When I hear the word hibachi I think of sharing a table with 6 other people and a chef cooking in front of you doing tricks. This was definitely not the case. It’s basically and Asian buffet with some American thrown in there. They let you make a plate and take it over to a grill when a man with headphones and no smiles slaps your plate on a grill. I stood there for about 15 mins as I waited for my «hibachi» to be cooked. I wasn’t impressed. And they have no yum yum sauce! Booooooo! Look for other places to eat when traveling through this town.

Frankly I’m surprised at the reviews for this restaurant. It’s a buffet and as such *in my opinion* should be reviewed as such. It’s not competing with say P.F. Chang’s or something which from some of these reviews that must be the expectation. We’ve been there probably 30 times since it opened and we’ve always been happy with our experience. As a *buffet* I think it’s well worth 5 stars. For a buffet in general, and a Chinese buffet specifically, there is an incredible variety of food and unlike many buffets, no matter what time we go in there the food is always hot and fresh. Any buffet is generally that way during lunch(say 11 – 1 or 2) and dinner(5 – 7 give or take); but we can go in there at 3 in the afternoon and still be pleased with everything which puts it above most buffets right there. The food itself runs the gamut from the traditional Chinese buffet items like crab rangoon, General Tso’s chicken, and the like; to more American fair such as chicken nuggets and mozzerella sticks. The quality of the food is above average compared to other *buffets*. The service is always good for a buffet — I expect my drink to be refilled in a timely manner and my plate(s) to be bussed and that always happens in a timely manner. Those complaining about service, again it’s a *buffet* and not«table service» so I’m not really sure what you were expecting. There is a hibachi grill in the back and a sushi bar; neither makes or breaks it for me as I normally don’t use either; but my wife and roommate do and they both like them. I will say the food at the hibachi station is far better maintained than at most buffets I’ve been to. They have a nice selection of fruits, salad, and deserts as well. I’ve been trying to eat healthier lately and I appreciate the fruit selection as it lets me go out and have some food I like but still get some healthier selections on my plate which can be hard to do at many places. Regarding the comparison to Emperor’s Palace — well we used to frequent there and really liked it, but it’s went significantly down hill the last couple of years. We happened to visit there a couple of weeks ago and while it wasn’t «bad», it also wasn’t good either. I guess if your heart is set on dim sum then by all means head out there; but otherwise I would never choose it over Hibachi Grill. Cost is very reasonably compared to other buffets; I believe our lunch today was $ 7.99 each; although I’m not certain on that as when we went today our total including two sodas was $ 18.xx so unless their sodas are *very cheap* then the buffet may have been less than that — I guess I should’ve looked the receipt closer. The only downside for us is the drive(it’s a good 20 – 30 minutes for us); but otherwise I don’t have any complaints. It’s a buffet and they do it well; far better than most in the St. Charles County/West County Area that we’ve visited.

Went here last night. I’ve heard from a few friends that it was pretty good and I will have to agree. The service was friendly and our drinks never got empty. They have a nice spread with quite the variety. I stuck to the Chinese as that’s why I came. They were all fresh and hot. I was very surprised with the(odd shaped) crab rangoon. It was loaded with crab, you could pull chunks out. I’ll be coming back to give it another go eventually. I hope the experience is the same.

We met up with a couple for dinner at the local«super buffet» known as Hibachi Grill and Supreme Buffet. It was quite the experience. When you are hankering for a buffet extravaganza, with no respect for diets or healthiness, this is the place. The food is pretty good for a buffet, but the selection is the major attraction. They have your typical Chinese fare, a good selection of fish and meats, a salad bar, ice cream counter, sushi made fresh and more. I was able to find a taste for all cravings. It seems clean, and I have never had a bad experience dining here. The price is fair, for both of us it was about $ 23 with drinks. That’s not too bad compared to some other buffets that charge a few dollars more for much less of a selection. Give it a try, because it’s a fun time with LOTS of FOOD!!!

So I know I am in no way an expert on Chinese buffets but this one is actually really decent in my opinion. I am taken here by my sales guys from my supplier allot and I always stuff myself with the multiple chicken entrees that they have. The Thai chicken, Sesame chicken, and General Tso’s chicken and some others. I really like the Beef and broccoli and pretty much anything else they serve. I have had the Hibachi Grill at least twice and liked it but I think the steak is a little tough for my taste. Over all I think that the service and selection are a great deal for what you pay and it is really close to my work so that works out to. Unfortunately my waist line doesn’t appreciate it to much.

Hibachi Grill & Supreme Buffet is fairly new in town and I wasn’t feeling it after finding very few(and mostly negative) reviews of the place. Also, the lady on the phone told me they don’t have dim sum, and I really didn’t want to go all the way to St. Charles for an Asian buffet that doesn’t even serve dim sum on weekends(especially when Emperor’s Palace is just minutes away from my house). However, I went anyway in the end because my dad really wanted to try the place out since his old Asian friend recommended it. My dad should stop getting restaurant suggestions from his old Asian friends who have probably lost most of their taste buds. Sunday buffet was $ 9.59 all day(this is also the regular dinner buffet price); Monday-Saturday lunch buffet is $ 6.69, which is pretty cheap but there are definitely similar deals with better food quality elsewhere in STL. The only things I liked from Hibachi was its somewhat clean-looking interior and the fact that I actually didn’t feel like stuffing myself to death with their super mediocre selection. Nothing they had was unique or good enough from most other STL Asian buffets. Seafood– Mussels doused in overly sweet sauce + clams doused in overly salty sauce + salmon doused in overly red sauce and looks like it came straight out of some horror movie + a variety of mostly super fried/cheesed shrimp/crabmeat Meats– Sesame/coconut/baked chicken, beef, ham, ribs A limited selection of generic stuff you’d find from other Asian buffets(beef&broccoli, overly sauteed mushrooms, hot and sour soup, fried rice, lo mein, etc. etc.) Lots of fried American food– Chicken wings, buffalo wings, fries, fried UVWXYZ Hibachi grill– Limited selection, nothing special, you put together some veggies + raw meats and they cook it Sushi– Limited selection, small in size and quality is what you’d expect from mediocre buffets. Hokkaido in Florissant still has the best sushi selection by far. Dessert bar– Limited selection with generic sweets, pastries, and ice cream. NODIMSUM :( Fruit bar– Watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew, grapes, pineapples, bloody bananas… Service– Quickly seated, but I only saw one waitress walking around in the entire restaurant and obviously this tiny Asian lady couldn’t get rid of all the empty dishes fast enough. But slow service also forced me to pace my sodium/sugar intake more than usual since my water refills only came every so often. Misc– Apparently it was some girl’s birthday so the waitress brought a candle and I think it exploded in the birthday girl’s face while professionally recorded chinglish happy birthday song played over the restaurant intercom. They also played Justin Bieber a lot. My dad and I were the two of the only asians there. The few other asians obviously lived around St. Charles and probably wished they lived closer to Emperor’s Palace or something.
