Continue to be disappointed by the food and service every time I come to this location. Will not be back. The restaurant was no more than 1⁄3 full yet we waited almost 50 minutes for our lunch during the work day. Food was over cooked, buns were stale, and like warm. Never received a reason why it took so long nor did the manager stop by to apologize. Will not be back.

Worst burger. Poor quality frozen burger. I would not eat there again. Lived the atmosphere and service. Stop for cocktails but eat somewhere else.

5.09 for a 14 oz domestic draft. They should be ashamed for charging that here. Food and drinks are overpriced for the demographics

If my review was for food alone it would probably be a 4 but… when it takes nearly an hour to get said food and then it’s a to go order any they stacked a big box onto a smaller box causing the big box to tip in transit spilling sauce all over the bag… It goes down to two. I will say they were slammed for a Monday and apparently had a party of 50 but if you know that’s going down and you don’t tell me ahead of time so that I might reconsider my to go order that’s a problem. The manager was polite and courteous and offered to comp my order which was a step in the right direction. Just let me know next time that it’s going to be an hour and I’ll go elsewhere.

I am trying not to get into Franchise restaurants anymore, but we stopped at this one, and the food was good. This gastropub, is really good! They offer free valet parking, which I liked, just hope out and they park your car for you, that is a good way to make a positive impression. When you come in, you seat yourself. You can immediately tell this place wants to be more of an upscale bar. All they need is their own personality and not the franchise one, I can see them really being good, but nonetheless, the food and drinks are good now. After you seat yourself a waitress will come to your table for the food and drink orders, the service is not fast, but the good places it never is, they are designed for good not fast! I had the BRUSCHETTAPOMODORO with shrimp tomato, basil, garlic, olive oil, parmesan crostinis and shrimp. This dish was really good and refreshing, I like it for a great appetizer as it was! I had the chicken pot pie soup, which I think is on the menu for a short time. It was delicious and very different than a pot pie, I really enjoyed the savory, umami flavor of this soup. I had the salmon sliders with applewood smoked bacon, lettuce and ginger mayo, on a mutli-grain bun. very delicious with a sweet, savory bang in my mouth. I finished that off with the Voodoo plate which is blackened chicken, andouille sausage, bell pepper, voodoo sauce, rice pilaf, it had a very light spice kick with a delicious umami flavor that was outstanding. I can tell these dishes may be in a franchise, but they were created by a Chef who knows what he is doing. I know, I will go there again!

I suppose people don’t come here for the food, so you would think they would be well-stocked in the alcohol department. Asked for a Tito’s dirty martini and was informed they were out of Tito’s. Not a big deal, but why? As for the food I made the mistake of ordering a medium rare blue cheese burger and it was well done. Tater tot’s were cold.

I love the ambiance and décor of this bar its very cozy and attractive. If you can take advantage of the happy hour its a win-win. I also love Beale Street and this location, plenty of garage parking too. I ordered the Honeydew martini which was delicious also ordered the pear and blue cheese salad which was equally yummy. I think their prices for food are a bit high but for a special night out its fine. The server who was very friendly but took quite a while just to give me a glass of water and waited quite a bit to get my check to me and I was in a bit of a hurry to leave. Other than that it was a great place to spend for happy hour.

There seems to be a trend with every Bar Louie I go to-terrible service! I generally expect this when dining here and I know going in not to expect much from the wait staff. Last night we ate here and our server was in the weeds and pretty spacey. I had to go to the bar for water and to order more drinks and I had to get silverware from another table. My sandwich was good, but the fries that came with it were cold and old. I told my server and he brought me another batch of the same and said that they were dropping more soon if I didn’t like those. Um, why didn’t you just bring me the fresh ones? At $ 12 for a sandwich and fries(overpriced), I do expect decent fries. I also witnessed a server drop a mustard bottle on the dirty kitchen floor then pick it up and take it to a table. Yuck!

I’m not a Bar Louie fan… sorry to start off sour but I’m sure you’ll read on to for a 5 star justification. Bar food, sports bars just don’t tickle my fancy. I’ve been to them all(against my well) hey, I’m a team player so I go wherever the majority wants to patronize. What makes this location 5⁄5: –Location — Beale St. is awesomely entertaining –Complimentary valet parking –Huge interior –Décor was fresh –Open patio(absolutely awesome for a group) –Bar was setup to perfection(plenty of seating) –Server was on the money –Food was well prepared –Restroom was well kept –Non smoking establishment The ladies and I arrived for Happy Hour and enjoyed Pinot, Chardonnay, Veggie flatbread(our fav), Chicken flatbread, Boneless buffalo chicken, Calamari(nice & meaty), Salmon sliders; all of which were delicious and worthy of our return.

So I went here to take out some food tonight. Two of the items I wanted they didn’t have. Then it took almost 40 minutes to get my to go order!!! Which by any standard is unacceptable. When checking it after I finally got it I did not get tots instead of fries like I had requested. The bartenders were very nice and offered to comp my meal which was awesome! However not having what they have on the menu coupled with waiting 40 minutes and then messing my order up I will never be back. I have been to many Bar Louie’s. This is by far the worst.

Every time I go here I go through a cycle of emotions. First, WOOO!(a la HIMYM) since this is where I seem to find myself when I need a Girls Night Out. It’s in Streets of St. Charles(which I love) and they have the perfect booths for a happy hour with the girls. The next phase of emotions is the feeling of being overwhelmed. So many drink and app choices so I usually just point at something and it comes out. My next phase– bliss. Yummy drinks, pretty good appetizers filling my belly, that’s bliss alright. I tend to enjoy the pretzels, spinach & artichoke dip, flatbreads, or sliders when I’m out. From the martini menu I really like the Diva, Clover, Smores, Honeydew, and tickled pink. The food is really pretty good all things considered. So with all that bliss, my next phase tends to be annoyance. The service here is horrible most nights. They can never keep my tabs straight even though I don’t move an inch and half the time they have to come back and ask what someone ordered. They can be slow and sometimes you’ll have a 5 minute gap between one half of the table being served and the other half finally getting their drinks. The night starts to wind down and I then shake with some fear. Oh god, what’s the damage? But my last feeling of the day tends to be relief. I don’t know what the happy hour deals are but somehow I never pay more than $ 30 for drinks and food and yet I’m stuffed and have to walk down the Streets of St. Charles to get some froyo so I can sober up before my ride home. Happy Hour lasts later than most too so I’m not in a rush to get out of there which is good since the staff won’t be in a rush either.

Meh. Pretty much sums up how I feel about all Bar Louie’s. Service wasn’t as terrible as what other reviewers have experienced, but the food and atmosphere could have been much better. We were seated in a booth, which was nice except for the fact that there was an air duct blowing really cold air straight down at us. Probably could have severed diamonds with my nipples by the end of the meal. No joke. It took a while to get the beer I ordered despite the bar being 2 ft away. At what point is it socially acceptable to just walk over the bartender who is standing around doing nothing and asking for the drink you ordered? The food here is really bland. I ordered mac n cheese which was more like alfredo than mac n cheese, if ya catch my drift… the noodles were a tad over cooked and mushy and the sauce was just bleh. I had to basically pour salt and pepper on it to make it edible. And it was half cold when it arrived… More than anything I could not stand the loud music and the, uh, clientele. Basically, unless you are wearing low cut daisy dukes and a shirt from whatever in the hell the adult equivalent of A&F is, be prepared to be stared at. A lot. Awkwardly. By men. In their mid thirties. Adorn’d in brogear. Yeah. ~___~ Never before have I had so many dirty looks just from walking from point A to point B. Really made me uncomfortable. And I wasn’t wearing my usual odd colored hair, but I was wearing a hat I made. I guess hand-knitted items can cause the heteronormativebrowasp crowd some consternation. But hey, I really had no idea what to expect because I figured the St. Charles location was probably different from the St. Louis location… and all the other locations I’ve been to in other states… I wanted to give this lackluster chain restaurant another shot, but it’s now the third or fourth Bar Louie I have been to and needless to say, I am hard-pressed to return.

Let me just start off by saying, I LOVE Bar Louie! Not only is it within walking distance, they also provide discounts for living at the Residences! The food has been amazing every time I’m there and the drinks have been delicious and strong! The atmosphere is extremely laid back even on busy nights. The only down side? My pants not fitting after 1 too many visits here lol!

Great venue and location in the vibrant Streets of St. Charles. Inside, outside dining and beverage service. Every possible mix drink you can name. Large beer and wine selection served by a very fine looking staff. When the weather is good, the big glass doors are opened and fresh air circulates. Inside, you can choose to sit at the bar, high tops, regular tables or on sofas and chairs like in a living room setting. Outside you can find a place by the fire pit to make the wine taste better! Happy hour is rocking good time. Head kitchen guy, Thomas, keeps the food coming out in an efficient and consistent manner. Very good menu from small plates to more robust dinner. No food complaints in our group.

I come to this place on a regular basis. Each member of the staff which I have interacted with has been very friendly and welcoming. I’ve been to other Bar Louie’s that I wouldn’t give 5 stars to. This one, however, I provide it to gladly. I recommend anyone who chooses to eat at this location try out their Sesame Tuna Sandwich. Pairing it with a decent dry white wine is particularly enjoyable. This location has a redundant representation on here. I originally wrote this for the other instance of it but felt I should provide it here, to be thorough, as I hope they eliminate the other one. Their music is pretty solid, too. I don’t know who’s running the music at «Bar Louie Headquarters», but they consistently have some solid music.

AAAAWWWWFULSERVICE! They implemented a hosted spot when you walk in, but they don’t follow the order in which people arrive. We were told 30 minute wait for 2 people(which is perfectly normal for any restaurant on a Friday evening). The problem is that in the 35 minutes, people that came in after us were able to sit down and the waitresses didn’t tell them they had to wait. We were offered a table by a nice family who were leaving and were confronted by a waiter who rudely told us we couldn’t sit there and according to the hostess, we were only waiting 29 minutes. He continued to argue and raise his voice to say«point out who has sat down»… «If you can’t point hem out then it didn’t happen»… We like the food, but NOT at the expense of such rude employees. Don’t implement a hostess station then pick and choose who actually has to follow it.

I’m a regular at the CWE location, so I figured I’d check out the St. Charles. Pleased to see it’s the same great food, drinks and service. Tried something different this visit the Turkey Club. My mom tried the Chick Parm Sliders. Got and oldy but goody for dessert, Tennessee Whiskey Cake, who can ever resist that!
