Do Not Go Here! I had a terrible experience. A man with limited knowledge of performing a pedicure used the scissors to grab the skin around my nails then yanked the skin off. He continually jabbed me with sharp thumbnails. I jumped a few times from painful tugs and jabs. The nail polish was globby and had to have another technician finish the polish. During the pedicure, the technician asked if I like sea salt. I said yes, then was surprised to get charged extra for sea salt. They tried to overcharge me and when I protested, they said they were afraid of the owners. Another man showed up and said my card wouldn’t work and insisted I go get cash. He then said he was the owner. I told him I would wait until the owners were there tomorrow and take care of the payment. He and another man followed me out of the salon into the main Meijers store where I went to customer service to speak with the store manager. The store manager said they were«renting space» and she knows nothing of if they are licensed and could only take my name and number and send my complaint along to corporate. The two men from the salon argued with me and would not leave me alone until they bullied me to the ATM for cash. The card they said«didn’t work» worked easily in the ATM. I believe they were simply only wanting«cash» in order not to report it? They insisted I pay $ 57.00 for services that only added up to $ 47.00. I will be contacting Meijers corporate, the Better Business Bureau and the health department. I question if the technician’s are licensed and very concerned I will get an infection from the strange treatment. The Meijers response was also unacceptable. The manager could see I was in distress, being bullied by 2 men, and did nothing to assist. Please do not go there.

VERY friendly and accommodating people — e.g. if you call ahead of time, they will open early for you depending on the day of the week. They will also speak English as much as possible(or explain what had been said in Vietnamese) — unlike most salons(where yes, they comment or bitch about things about you). The pedi chairs here are fantastic and give a deeper massage than the other local area nail salon chairs. They’ve also recently painted the walls and installed new carpeting… Even bought more variety of polish and new scrub/lotions that are really great! I highly recommend giving them a try at least once… and if they’re busy, you can get some grocery shopping done first. :)

Under new ownership? I have gone here a few times when traveling to visit my husband’s family and recently started going more often since we’ve moved to the area. It was always pretty good, but recently they’ve received a bit of an update as I believe it is under new ownership. They’ve cleaned it up a bit, added some new pops of color, and seem to be much better about booking and keeping appointments. Most importantly, they’re really friendly, do a great job, have decent prices, AND they’re the only place I can find in the area that does«NOCHIP» or «GEL» PEDICURE! I can’t find any other place that does it, and I LOVE a no chip pedicure — especially in the winter when your boots seem to always chip off regular paint or the sand from the beach on vacation takes regular polish right off but the no chip lasts a lot longer. Plus, no waiting forever for it to dry before putting your boots or tennis shoes back on because it dries instantly! Totally worth it! :)

The owner was very nice talking to me and being friendly, it was the womab I was stuck with that upset me. She could tell I have never had my nails done before and she took advantage of me. I asked for just painted acrylics. No gel no French manicure. She put the gel coat on and charged me extra even though I told her not to put it on. There are bubbles in my nails so im aure she did it wrong. A second thing she did was mumble something about my eyeliner and I was like«okay» but she actually told me my eyebrows were to busy and she wanted to was them. When I was about to pay some other customers asked what my nails looked like as I was showing one the woman grabbed my hand and pulled me to the waxing chair. I politely told her that I did not want my eyebrows waxed. Then ahe charges me for the gel no chip stuff that I didn’t want. I will never go back here again I felt embarassed the whole time.

I wanted to like this place because the owner was very welcoming and nice, but unfortunately it was very dirty and disorganized, and the owner was on the telephone the ENTIRE time she did my daughter’s nails. We came out and my daughter said, «That wasn’t fun at all because the lady kept talking on the phone.» I do understand that they have to take appointments but she kept stopping to MAKE phone calls as she thought of things she needed to do. She is trying to run two businesses at once but she would have more repeat business if she took an hour off from doing nails and made her phone calls then. As it is, I won’t be back. Also, they really push the no-chip«shellac» manicure — if you haven’t tried it before, don’t let yourself get talked into it. I regretted it immediately. First, there is a very limited range of colors, and once it’s on it’s not coming off unless you return to them to have it removed, OR — what I did — go buy 100% acetone and soak your nails in it for half an hour, picking and scraping every bit of it off. NOT my cup of tea.

This is one of THEBEST nail salons I have ever frequented…& I’ve lived in KC, St. Louis, NY, and now Chicago. This husband-wife team works incredibly well side by side. They are so very friendly as is their staff. Accommodating and reasonably-priced. And I get nothing but compliments on my pink & white nails and pedi’s all over town.

Clean, friendly, accommodating nail salon located just inside the Meijer store. Owner/operators are a husband and wife who have excellent communication skills and customer service. My pedicures last forever and are never hurried or uncomfortable. Walk-ins welcomed and if there is a wait you can do some shopping. This business used to be located on the East Side of St. Charles near Kirk Road. Good place to relax and treat yourself.
