Drink sangria Red or white you can’t go wrong We have been here several times on multiple vacations. We really enjoy the live music, sangria and small plates. It is a great place to take a rest when you are shopping on St. George street.

Got a BOGO deal on admission thru a Local Flavor website so I was stoked about that since we also had to pay admissions to go to the Fountain of Youth, Castillo de San Marcos and the St. Augustine Lightouse. I didn’t realize that the place is only open during the tour times and as the ticket office lady explained, it is not a living museum, but rather you go and take a 45 minute guided tour to see everything. So we had about an hour to spare before the next tour started so we decided to eat at one of the taverns for lunch. We ate at the British pub and ordered the fish and chips. They were recently voted for best fish and chips. I must say, I have to agree with whomever awarded them this because it was the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. Even better than the fish and chips I had when we were in London. The batter on the fish is outstanding. It’s super crispy and lightly seasoned. The fish was moist and flaky and could not have been cooked better. I ate mine with malted vinegar and used the tartar for the chips. My husband is not a vinegar type of guy and grew up in New England so he was all about the tartar sauce. He agreed too that this was the best fish and chips he’d ever had. After lunch we met Grimm the tour guide inside the quarter and on to the tour we went. It was a great tour, Grimm was really funny and knowledgeable and made learning fun. At the end of the tour we were welcome to hang around and go back to spots we wanted to explore more so we did. Out of all the sites we visited and the tours we went on, this one was the best.

The thing about st. augustine is that’s it’s so real it’s fake like Disney world but you know Disney world has great food! And so did this place, one of the few times I’ve tried fish and chips and the fish was really ducking great. It helps that the beer is really cheap and the décor is inviting by design so kudos to this spot!

Food uneventful, just ok, small portions that are over priced. Hardly anyone in the place but the service was poor and slow. Drinks were good but had to wait til the end of the meal for another.

We ended up in the pub due to the random Florida rain storm. Loved the small atmosphere inside and the service was great from start to finish. I had the club and my husband had the Parmesan chicken special. My sandwich was huge and really tasty. My husband ate all of his and finished up mine. The bartender was very friendly and knowledgeable.

We sat outside on a very hot late afternoon, but they had a fan going that helped things out somewhat. I had fish and chips, and my wife had one of their sandwiches — both pretty tasty. Our waitress was very thoughtful, providing us with 16-oz glasses(with lids and straws) of ice water to take with us as we left because of the heat. We’d both return if in the area.

This pub was pretty cool. Our bartender, AJ, knew how to make a mean drink. My girlfriends and I, who were in town for a bachelorette party, bombarded him with order after order and he was able to keep up and make great drinks. The theme of the restaurant was a Spanish style colonial era– definitely got me thinking of AJ in a cute colonial man costume… Anyway, AJ makes the best Bloody Mary in town and I would definitely go back if I were in the area.

The food was ok, it needed more seasoning. I got the lobster mac and cheese, the price was a little high, got quantity over quality. Sangria was great!

We ate lunch here and thoroughly enjoyed the food and atmosphere of this historic open-air building. The menu is definitely geared to lunch. The adorable latino playing guitar, flute and singing was a plus and wonderful. He even serenaded our daughter Happy Birthday in Spanish. We ordered guacamole & chips to start, which were delicious. The gazpacho was very good with an array of flavors. The cuban sandwich was very good and made from high quality meat and bread. The mojo chicken, surprisingly, was fantastic. The flavor was subtle and smokey and not too tart. Overall a fantastic lunch spot.

Their food is authentic but a little slow, drinks are pretty good, specially the sangria, the staff wear costumes and some times they have life music, cool place for some tapas and drinks

Attached to the Colonial Quarter Museum, this little bar/restaurant that opens onto St. Georges St. is a cute place to get a drink. Didn’t care much for the cheese plate appetizer we had. It was right out of a deli, but the beer and ales were good and all of the staff wears period costumes.
