I came here because the Swarthmore library did not have what I was looking for. This library is neat and well organized but somewhat sterile. Parking is somewhat limited for its size.

Ok for a small, local l library. They seem to have a nice tutoring/​kids program and elder things to do. Something is going on most of the times I’ve been there.
I don’t know why, but they seem to have a limited number of books in their stack. Maybe 5 or 6 shorter aisles and kid section. It is also pretty dark and gloomy, IMO.
Good for transferring books to, since it is right off rt. 309 and easy to get to.

Springfield Library has a huge selection of books on tape, for those of us that drive a distance to work. If you don’t see what your after, all you have to do is ask them to order it from another library, and they’ll get it for you in a week or so. My only complaint is that all the formats are filed together, so when looking, you have to be careful the copy you pick is right for your system. I’ve picked up an MP3, while looking for a CD, more than once.

I grew up going to this Library. It is small and full of townies. I may owe them about 1000 dollars for a copy of Scarlet that I didn’t return 15 years ago. They’ve got a very small computer area, but ton of DVDs now.
The Children’s Library downstairs is actually a good size for a kids library, but they could probably do with putting more books for grown ups instead of their crotch-​droppings.
It is very close to the 101 trolley line, but don’t you know no one in Springfield takes public transit? Someone might think you’re *poor*

This library is super tiny! That said, there was a nice big DVD section which we frequented. I found the people at the desk to be friendly most of the time, but once I actually had a librarian who wouldn’t help me find what I was looking for — which is shocking to me. It’s great if you want DVDs, but otherwise some of the other Delco libraries might be a better fit for you.
