I love the amount of food they give you here. The price is the average price at every phở place, but they give you your money’s worth. Their phở soup is very flavorful. And the veggies are fresh. And the fried banana is amazing!

Excellent food. Nice staff. Authentic taste. Ordered Salmon curry, chicken phở and chicken wings. All of them tasted excellent. Thai tea was good but it could be little cheaper.

This is far our favorite restaurant for now and we have been eating here for almost 2 years. Bun bo hue or bun bo xao are our favorites

My wife loves this food, and as I’m not crazy for Vietnamese food I liked their food. My last experience with them has left a horrible taste with this place. In my food I find a roach, and when we call to let them know. The response is to give me credit for more food. I will never eat there again.

Since we’ve moved here, we’ve been trying out restaurants to eat at so I can know which restaurants to avoid or keep going to. This was our first phở restaurant that we’ve been to and after reading the reviews, We had to experience it ourselves. Of course the reviews said that this was by far the best phở place in Springfield, so we gave it a try. First things first, walking into the restaurant, we were greeted right away and got seated(even though it wasn’t crowded at all). The server came us to and asked if we were ready. So we ordered two phở bowls(B5(large) and B10(regular)) along with an avocado smoothie and Thai tea with boba(bubble tapioca). Noticed the server didn’t write down our orders and he made an effort to memorize it. After he brought us our water, he double checked to see what we ordered again. Well hmm, if you were a server, you’d know right away what our orders were without asking us, of course the server already got the order wrong when he checked with us… B5 large, not B8 regular and a B10 regular, not large. Once we got our food, of course the order was wrong, what was brought to us was a B10 large and B8 regular. Yah that’s not what we ordered so the guy who brought the food had to bring it back with the correct order. Let’s try this again… once we got our CORRECT order, first thing we needed to try was the soup. I must say, it is pretty good, it wasn’t too watery. Received a good amount of meat in the soup. We asked for more lime, but not surprised the server forgot and didn’t give us extra lime so we said forget about it. Onto the drinks we got… avocado smoothie — I must say one of the best avocado smoothies I’ve had. Wasn’t too sweet or too milky. The Thai tea with boba or bubble tapioca — it was good but too sweet. The boba seemed like it was undercooked and old. Lastly the service — we were not check up on once after we got our food. The staff was too busy chit chatting at the front amongst each other. No one bothered to refill our water nor give us the bill after we finished our food. We had to walk up to get the bill. Oh and the person at the register was trying to give us another table’s bill. He said that our bill was $ 35 and we were thinking uh… what? The server next to him had to correct the bill since he obviously knew what we ended up getting. Scale ratings: Quality — 7 Service — 2

I’m a huge phở lover and this place really hits the spot. I recently moved to northern VA, and during my hunt for fantastic phở, I came across this place and its become my favorite! I’m a big fan of their phở ga – broth is excellent — followed by a delicious boba smoothie! If you are craving phở, I highly recommend this place!

Very decent phở. The beef and tendon cuts in their phở are good quality. Don’t bother driving up to Eden center; this place is just as good.

Great tasting phở and they do crispy rolls the way they are SUPPOSED to be done with phở. Will definitely be back soon!

The food is delicious here. I had the chicken phở bowl & my husband had the sweet & sour beef noodle dish w/peanuts. We also had the crispy spring rolls which were also very good. This was our second time here and we loved it!

We missed this place and we’re happy to give it another chance since moving back to the area. So glad we did, great service and great food. My husband and daughter had beef phở and I had the beef clay pot. We had a side of spring roles and iced coffee. Everything was yummy and fresh.

Saigon Quan serves up the absolute best Vietnamese food in the Springfield area. I have tried every single Vietnamese restaurant in Springfield — trust me, this is the winner by a mile. The ambience is nice for a vietnamese restaurant. I often believe that the best Vietnamese restaurants have the plainest décor. This place however has a water feature, plants, and flat screen TVs. But let’s be honest here, I don’t come for the plants and TVs — I come for the FOOD! I have to start with what made me a fan — the Phở. The broth perfectly complex — I don’t have to add anything to it as it is well balanced. I enjoy the generous meats added to it as well. My second favorite here is the Bun Bo Hue. It is extremely tasty with just the right amount of spice and lemongrass. I also highly recommend the clams appetizer. It’s comes with this amazing sauce and I haven’t had it any other vietnamese restaurant. Even if I didn’t live in Springfield, I would still drive out to Saigon Quan for the dishes mentioned above. Hope to see you there!

The décor here is nice and the tables are spread out far from each other. Service here is lackluster, it took approximately 5 minutes before we were greeted by our waiter for drinks. Keep in mind the restaurant only had 2 other patrons so there was no excuse for them to be so late. While I am on that note, once the food was delivered to the table the waiters were no where to be seen. Not once were the waters refilled or were we asked how the food was. I personally had to walk up to the cash register and ask them for extra rice. I ordered the bo luc lac(marinated cubes of beef with white rice). The other people in my party ordered a seafood noodle soup and the broken rice combo platter. The bo luc lac contained ample amount of beef and veggies; however the beef lacked any flavor. For some reason there was potatoes in this dish which I have never had anywhere else. The potatoes look and tasted like potato wedges cut up into cubes. I believe the chefs tried to create an American twist to this dish which I was not a fan of. I would recommend others to avoid this dish if you are looking for authentic bo luc lac. The seafood noodle soup was loaded with an extreme amount of MSG. I understand all Asian restaurants use MSG, however this place went overboard. The broken rice combo platter was probably the best dish at our table. It wasn’t horrible but definitely not the best especially compared to places in Eden Center. So overall, conveniently located for people who live in the Springfield vicinity? Yes. However the food wasn’t anything memorable but I may give them another shot another day.

I would give 1 star for the crispy spring rolls. The amount of oil that came out of the two rolls that I ate was disgusting. Oil was literally dripping out each time I took a bite. I squeezed each spring roll into the napkin to remove excess oil but there was still a TON of oil left. I used 3 napkins and all 3 were soaked with oil. The spring rolls barely had any meat, it was filled with vegetables and a tiny amt of ground meat. I would not recommend these. The sweet and sour tamarind soup with salmon was great. The salmon was really dry. I think I would order monk fish or shrimp next time.

SUMMARY: Great Phở, decent décor, bad service. Order mix-ups/mess-ups are FREQUENT. Veggies could be fresher, summer rolls are okay, coffee is awful. The great Phở makes up for most of this, though. Would return for Phở, and other entrees, but wouldn’t go for their summer rolls, and wouldn’t touch their coffee with a ten foot pole.(7/10, «Good»). ATMOSPHERE: The place is surprisingly clean and well decorated with bamboo, a fountain, and miscellaneous real and artificial plants. Did not expect this walking in.(8⁄10) SERVICE: The waiters seem extremely confused all of the time. Before my very eyes, two different waiters messed up three different orders. As I laughed quietly to myself about this confusion, I noticed a a piece of tripe in my bowl, which I did not order. As I looked closer, there was a total of 2 pieces of tripe and even one tendon. This seems to be a common problem judging from other reviews. I finished my bowl without complaining because I like the tripe and tendon, but it wasn’t what I ordered. If it matters to you, I would advise that you CHECKYOURBOWL and make sure they got the order right, and EMPHASIZE your order number. Next time, I will be repeating my order twice to my server, emphasizing the menu item numbers.(4⁄10) FOOD: PHO: I have tried options with flank, steak, brisket(and inadvertently tripe and tendon). The broth is sweet and flavorful and clear. You can clearly taste the spices used. Basically perfect broth and noodles. It comes with a little bit of basil and jalapeño, very little culantro, and a ton of beansprouts. The limes I was given seemed dry, not fresh(possibly frozen), but I don’t use lime anyways. I wish there was more jalapeño and culantro. All of the meats were excellent in flavor, texture, and amount. Broth and noodles were perfect. SUMMERROLLS: Meh. They shrimp they used were really small. The roll is mostly noodle, a little lettuce, and some basil. Optimally, it should have bigger shrimp, more lettuce and basil, less noodle. Peanut sauce was excellent, though. VIETICEDCOFFEE: God awful. Dishraggy, over-extracted yet flavorless. Basically, the coffee they use must be extremely old, stale, cheap, and low quality. Would not recommend. The Phở is super good though, and they have a huge menu. Looking forward to trying other entrees.(9⁄10)

We ate here at the recommendation of a friend and were quite pleased with the food and service. The dishes we ordered were: Fried Tofu with Peanut Sauce Shrimp Pork and Egg Roll over Rice Vermicelli Chicken over Sweet & Sour Spicy Noodles All dishes were delicious, and hoisenberry sauce and sarachi sauce were on all the tables. The vermicelli dish came in a big bowl that two of us split. It had bean sprouts, crushed peanuts, sliced cucumbers and the noodles. A tasty side dish of fish sauce was available to scoop over the meal. The chicken dish was just a little bit too spicy for the teenager in our group, but once they get older they will learn to love it! Great place to eat and we’ll be back… it is a good replacement for the restaurant that was shut down police for trafficking several years ago. 8-O

Wasn’t a huge fan of this place. Will note that the place was indeed full so either I’m ordering the wrong dish or I’m just not a fan. Service — was okay, was horrible but then again, it was non-existent. When we were done, it was clear that we were ready for the check, eventually I just got up to pay at the register. Had to ask them for the carryout containers at the register. Crispy Springs — wasn’t crispy and they don’t use the rice paper. Wouldn’t order them again. Beef Stew — The broth, carrots, beef and tendons were stewed perfectly. I had an issue with the rice noodles as they seemed like they were leftovers of other broken pieces of noodles and just threw them all into my bowl. If I do come back here, I will try their rice dishes. Wouldn’t go here for their beef stew, phở or crispy spring rolls.

This is a review of the vegetarian phở. The broth was fantastic, the restaurant was very clean and I loved the inclusion of vegetables in my soup to make up for the lack of meat. The biggest blow to my experience was that there was a small strand of tripe in my soup, and I was already ¾ done. Understandably, this does not matter for people who eat meat, but this is a pretty big deal to me as I avoid it due to health reasons. The restaurant was kind enough to not charge me, and I expressed my appreciation and made sure to tell them that the only issue was the discovery of tripe. I will not be returning.

This is on the tippy top of my list for Vietnamese restaurants in NOVA. Huge portion sizes for phở, and the do not skimp on noodles which is a qualm I have with phở places. You order the phở, in the largest size, and they give you a ton of broth, same amount of everything else. This place ups the noodles with the serving size. Would give it 5, but I need to try a few more dishes here before I give them that rank.

The restaurant is nice, and the service was good(which was a relief since I’ve since given up on Saigon City and was itching to become a regular at a different viet restaurant in the area) The eggrolls are served hot and crispy on top of a traditional green lettuce. For entrée, I’ve ordered the phở which was good but I’ve also ordered the bo kho which was REALLY good. It was hearty, yummy, the meat was incredible tender, veggies were on point, and the soup was delicious with a mix of sweet, spicy, and HEAVEN. It is traditionally served with a baguette, but I ordered it with yellow egg nooodles and it was SO worth it. MMMMMM.

Saigon Quan is a little bit of Eden, but located in Springfield. Their extensive menu does not have a certain specialty dish like some establishments in Eden, but has a wide variety of dishes such as phở, hu tieu, rice dishes, banh xeo, bo kho, and etc., that can satisfy your craving for Vietnamese food. We started off with the cha gio(eggrolls) and shrimp toast. The cha gio was the crispy, chewy version which we both enjoyed. The shrimp toast was basically shrimp paste in a baguette and tasted freshly made! For our entrees, the boyfriend opted for phở and I ordered the beef bo kho with baguette. The bo kho had a thick soup but was generous on the veggies and meat and hit the spot. My boyfriend had no complaints about his phở. Even though the food came out slowly, I could tell that they really took their time to prepare it. The service was also friendly. I’m happy that there’s a decent Vietnamese restaurant in Springfield now, not too far from home!
