Sadly NOT A GOODREVIEW. Got a take out order at 4:00pm which is a very dead time, not busy at all. I ordered a caramel chicken wok, one of my favorites, needless to say when I got home it was over cooked, burned and inedible. I would have a better understanding if the place was busy but there was no one there. I guess from now on I’ll have to check my food before leaving, but it will be awhile until I order again from Pei Wei.

This was my first time ever to a pei Wei, and probably my last. This restaurant is not even close to what is considered Asian food in my books. The flavors were entirely way too sweet. Spicy shrimp roll was yuck. The rice was entirely overcooked. The shrimp was barely existent. And, you couldn’t really eat the thing with chopsticks because the shrimp on top kept falling off with the slightest touch. Pad Thai is just a no no. Entirely too sweet. It tastes like they took egg roll sauce and used that as their base for the sauce. Thai chicken lettuce wraps was, again, way too sweet. I felt like it had the same flavor as the pad Thai. Seems like they just used the same sauce for all their dishes. The restaurant itself was pretty icky too. The highchair was so sticky. I don’t put my baby in high chairs without the cover, but I didn’t even want my cover to go in the chair. Sauce bottles needed a good wipe down and so do the tables. What was I thinking coming here???

I hardly write reviews but tonight we weren’t happy with how much portion they placed. We dine in after work w/my kids & ordered take out beef Mongolian & dan dan noodles. When my husband got home I took the orders out and noticed there are only 3 pieces of beef in it? Really???3 pieces and the rest are sauce & rice. They need to watch their serving and pay attention because we paid full price and that was all we got. I hope the manager will read this & let their cooks know.

The food is good and consistent so we always know what we are getting. We usually call ahead for take out. Some of our favorites are. Edamame. Crab wontons… Sesame chicken and chicken fried rice If you eat in you order at the counter. Then sit at your table w a number and they bring your food to you on real plates. The best part is somebody comes up later and cleans up :).

Waited 30 minutes for two entrees to come out. When I asked someone where our food was the guy was extremely rude and dismissive. I ordered a large wok classic entrée with chicken and there were only four tiny pieces of chicken on the plate. Hardly any vegetables. I basically paid $ 9 for a dish of rice. Will not be coming back.

No fan of mothership PF Chang so had low expectations for this smaller-in-size sister restaurant with a reduced menu and roughly 30 tables. I couldn’t convince my niece to eat at a better local Chinese restaurant so it was Pei Wei for an early dinner. We were greeted by a great customer rep/server who answered questions before ordering. My niece picked a chicken/broccoli dish with rice. I had their spicy version of General Tso’s chicken and an egg roll. The egg roll was not edible. Tasted disgusting. My food arrived and the temperature was not hot. The chicken was actually slightly warm at best. They load you up on rice(nothing special about the fried rice I paid extra for). The dish was disappointing. My niece loved the fancy soda machine that offers all types of choices. That was the highlight next to the fortune cookies. You can do so much better for Chinese food in the area.

I always go to Pei Wei whenever I’m craving Asian food, especially Pad Thai. I like to play it safe and just get it from here, it’s cheaper than non-franchise Thai places and tastes the same if not better. I also really like that they’re starting to serve sushi now! I’m currently writing a review to thank the staff at the Springfield location! I went for my birthday lunch and my mom has a severe fish allergy. We asked what the cooking procedure was and if they can prevent cross contamination. The cashier said they could use new oil(I unfortunately didn’t catch her name…) but she warned us that there is always a slight possibility and was worried for my mom’s sake. Super professional and helpful. It was great, she let my mom bring food from another place so we could eat together. Super caring and professional!

Food was good, service was poor. Dined at this location on several occasions, service was no better each time. Hire more enthusiastic servers.

Been here lots of times. The food is fantastic and you get it very quickly after you order. They also have a unique soda machine. Never had a doubt that the food wasn’t good. Every single plate I’ve got there was so tasty, same for the rest of my family. I would recommend to anyone who loves Asian food.

I’ve tried a variety of dishes from this Pei Wei and the food is good. I ordered to go today and the portions are TINY. Barely enough for a child to eat let alone an adult, and the sushi rolls are so small they’re definitely not worth what they charge. They need to either lower the prices or give an amount of food to justify the high prices.

Terrible. The Dan Dan noodles I ordered recently were tasteless. Their fried rice is no better. The best thing they have there is the crab Rangoon. Crappy food for such high prices. You’re better off going to the little Chinese/Asian stores instead of this chain.

It’s terrible here. It used to be so good. Good sucks. It’s cold and the potions are so small. Especially when you do take out. I hate it now. It used to be my favorite place. But now. It sucks.

The first time I visited Pei Wei was at their Hunt Valley location in Maryland. Even though I didn’t know if Pei Wei meant anything in Chinese, I was suitably impressed with the food and service, so I decided I’d try the Springfield location, which is closer to home, one day. And so, on a Thursday afternoon, there I was. Like the Hunt Valley location, the Springfield location is also fast casual. That means you order at the counter and take a number. Then you pick a table and they bring the food to you when it is ready. Beverages and beverage refills are self-serve. So it’s somewhere between fast food and sit-down, but hopefully the food is better than fast food. I wasn’t disappointed though. Although service could not match up to what I saw at Hunt Valley, it was decently fast. I still think the food is a bit overpriced(although perhaps not by Main Line standards), but the Kung Pao Chicken with brown rice that I had was delicious. The one issue I noticed was they ran out of green tea at the self-serve beverages area and didn’t refill the tank. So… I think it’s worth revisiting, even if I still have no idea what Pei Wei means.

It unfortunately was what I expected from a chain/fast food American«Asian’ inspired place… it looks like«Asian» food, but it sure doesn’t taste like it. My kung pao shrimp, tasted like vinegar and soy sauce. Though on the bright side, there was plenty of shrimp. Your hole in the wall Chinese joint has more authentic and just better food than this mass produced American basterdization of «Asian» food. Service was good though, that’s one thing Americans are good at.

This is the best Pei Wei I’ve been to. Friendly counter staff helped me with my order. I got Dan Dan noodles with steak. My order literally took 6 minutes. It was amazing. I always sit at the bar because I like to watch the food being made. They have an excellent set up with professionals. The noodle bowl was huge for 8 bucks with a nice amount of freshly grilled steak meat. The added cucumbers took the bite off the deeply burning spice. Its a slow burn in this particular dish that hits you right in the back of the throat. Everything was perfect as perfect could be. The bathrooms were clean, as was the restaurant itself. I will be back soon.

I felt like I had salt with a side beef for dinner at Pei Wei tonight. On a high note they ran out of veggies for the Mongolian with beef platter I ordered, so I received a side of unsalted steamed bell peppers. They were excellent. I’ll admit that my review might be slightly jaded, because I was so distracted by the grit and grime of the dining area that I couldn’t concentrate on the food. Even after wetting a napkin and attempting to wipe down a high chair for my daughter, I felt like I was putting her in a dumpster for dinner. It was awful. Even the backs and seats of the regular dining chairs were sticky to the touch and speckled with the last person’s meal. The silver lining here is that I didn’t have to deal with a sour mop or dirty dishrag smell while I ate, because this«diner» has never seen either. I don’t think I’ll be able to eat at PeI Wei or P.F. Chang’s for a very long time after tonight. There were only four out of 20 or so tables occupied during the 7:00 p.m. dinner service. I don’t understand how I didn’t see a single employee doing any kind of side work that resembled cleaning, unless you count wiping off your iPhone as you surf Tinder as a cleaning activity. You need to shower in Palmolive after eating at this establishment. Quick aside, the server was polite and said excuse me as he squeezed by while I wiped down the nasty high chair.

The food is always good, but at this particular location, there are a bunch a gnats flying around. So I was constantly swatting while eating. Will order out next time.

So basically my 3 star rating for food still stands from before. But whenever you have to wait 35 minutes for your food to get to the table in this type of place, you’re not managing things very well. Or even better, 35 minutes for your wife’s dish, and 40 minutes for yours. Granted they were busy, and there were a lot of people standing around for takeout tonight. But waiting 40 minutes at a Pei Wei for anything isn’t worth it.
