I have tried most Yemeni restaurant in Washington DC metropolitan area and by far this is the best Yemeni restaurant here. The meat is so tender and perfectly spiced. The chief was so kind he sent us lamb broth and fries for kids which all were for free.

We went to Marib for early dinner after a graduation ceremony so we were a large group of about 16. The restaurant owner was very accommodating and very tentative, excellent service and very friendly. My family is from Yemen, so trust me when I say this Yemeni cuisine tasted very authentic and delicious, I can’t remember last time I ate so much great food, I fell into a food coma afterwards. Try the Hareesh with honey, the Haneeth, and the Salta!!! Of course for dessert try the Bint Alsahn, but call ahead for this dessert because it usually takes longer time to prepare. Absolutely loved this place!

Went there to celebrate my graduation with family, over 15ppl. Service was exceptional and food was incredibly amazing and we are a Yemeni family so we are very familiar with the cuisine. Very authentic food, and delicious. Can’t wait to go there again!!!

I freely admit I’m a novice with Yemeni cuisine, my sum total of knowledge knowing of saltah, chicken mandi, and bint al-sahn. But I decided to stop in for lunch and I’m glad I did. I chose the saltah and was treated to a boiling stew of vegetables that was just amazing. Doubly so with the fenugreek foam upon it. Trebly so with the great bread to dip in it.(I also got a Vimto because… why not?! :)) Couple all that with great service and I can’t wait to come back to try more.

I was excited to check out Marib Yemeni Restaurant, a new Yemeni restaurant that arrived in Springfield! This restaurant is located inside the Fresh World plaza, but just note that their main sign above still reads ‘BBQ Delight.’ The menu offers soups, appetizers, main courses, as well as desserts(don’t let the buffet table inside fool you either, as that was for the previous restaurant). We started off with some Hummus with Meat(which happened to be sauteed cubed lamb with onions and jalapeño peppers) — this was literally one of the best appetizers I’ve had in quite some time! The hummus was super creamy, and not too thick nor too thin; the sauteed lamb with the grilled onions was just plain magical — the kick from the peppers also added a great spiciness to it. The freshly-baked pita bread was so addicting, and it was just a great pairing — YUM!!! For our main entrees, we had the Haneeth(slow-roasted lamb with Marib’s special seasoning, set on top of rice and sahawiq(which was on the side; this is like a Yemeni version of salsa); I did like the grilled onions, but I personally didn’t really care for this dish as the lamb was a bit too gamey for my taste); and, the Fahsa(which came in a claypot; a stew with shredded beef and veggies; you dip the pita bread within as more of like a dip). The hubs thought both dishes tasted like it was homemade. I think I would go for the Chicken Mandi next time, or wait to try some of their specials that they will be featuring from time to time. Our server was Mohammed, and he was super wonderful — very sweet and welcoming! :D +Hummus with Meat: D :D :D +various featured specialties — check often +ask for Mr. Mohammed: D :D :D +still under the old sign — ‘BBQ Delight’

Very delicious AUTHENTICYEMENI food. I’ve been to this Resturant many times. I am always happy with food. It reminds me about my old days when I was in Yemen eating food. The stuff are friendly. Good customer service. I would really recommend to pay a visit to this place, I am sure you will not be disappointed.

Everything was extremely delicious! It was a great dining experience — from the food to the service. Haneeth is a must order — Salta and Fahsa as well! I found it extremely hard to avoid the temptation to order everything on the menu. It’s as authentic as authentic gets, Marib has set the bar pretty high for other Yemeni Restaurants.

It’s been my fourth time. Every time, the food has remained delicious, fresh and great authentic Yemenite taste. I appreciate the hospitality of the staff. The chef is wonderful and hospitable. If you are seeking genuine and superb Yemen cuisine, this is the place. I highly recommend it. You won’t regret it. I went first time and kept going back afterwards. Well deserved 10 stars. Please check my photos of my favorite dishes ie Shafoot(the starter with salad) Fahssa(most popular Yemen dish, a mix of meat and vegs and greens) and Marb Adduba(locally made pumpkin sweet). Yum Yum indeed.

We accidentally stumbled upon this new restaurant tonight. We had the sizzling beef based Fahsa. It was amazingly delicious with two huge pieces of hot bread for dipping. We also ordered the hummus along with chicken mandi. The chicken breast was so tender that the knife just slid through it. The service was impeccable and very attentive. They gave of two pieces of basbousa that were so fresh and tasty. We had enough food for 3 – 4 people for the price of two. We felt like royalty. The restaurant was extremely clean. We can’t wait to go back to this new hot spot!

Low key setting serving authentic food. Generous portions, great for groups. Some stellar dishes that really stood out. If you know a Yemeni, definitely consider bringing him/her, mainly to order(and drizzle honey). Go for the: — adas(lentil soup) — haneeth(rice with lamb) — bint al sahn(delicious bread drizzled with honey) A wise man once said ‘my body is saying yes, but my lips are saying no’. That phrase was coined here.

Was really excited to hear a Yemeni restaurant was opening in NOVA. Marib is really authentic — felt like I was eating at a relative’s house. I recommend the fahsa and the haneeth(meat). The bread is scrumptious too.
