Hands down, a fantastic liquor store. Aside from having a fantastic selection of wine, liquor AND beer(plus cheese, crackers, gifts, etc.), their customer service has always been outstanding as well. Staff are incredibly friendly and engaging, and willing to help you find whatever you’re looking for. I’ve attended a few events here and they are always very well-organized and run smoothly — they’ve got it down to a science. Definitely the place to come in Springfield if you’re a craft beer lover and/or like trying new things — they have fun tastings and other events often!

This place has one of the most amazing selection of craft beers I have found. The staff is unbelievably knowledgeable, even the stockers and cashiers seem passionate about the craft beers and finer spirits they sell. Service is always friendly and welcoming. There is a small bar in the center of the main portion of the store that has some great choices(often rare) on their four taps. You can even request special drinks and hard to find/rare/expensive spirits. The bartenders are very engaging and easy to talk to but if you are looking for a more relaxing time, you can sit at one of the bar tables or shop with your drink in hand. The prices are pretty competitive as well. I would recommend this location over other liquor stores in town because the service, experience, and selection are above and beyond the average store.

Macadoodles, I’m about to write you a love list. That’s not really a thing, but I’m about to make it one and it’s going to be a love letter in list form because that’s how I roll. Why do I love you, Macadoodles? Let me explain. 1. You have a bar. A BARINTHELIQUORSTORE. So much brilliance. 2. You have an awesome bartender(Hi Bryce!) who makes the legit, best bloody mary in Missouri. It was voted as such, I’m not making this up. 3. Wait, you’re pet friendly? Yep. I didn’t know this so Woody Dog hasn’t come out with us, but I did love on a nice lady’s pitbull at the bar. It’s not weird, I swear. 4. Such an amazing selections of all things boozy. From the California wines I was really worried about never seeing again after leaving my home in the golden state, to the awesome craft beers I got attached to while living in the PNW, and don’t even get me started on all the glorious midwestern whiskey and bourbon. It’s all here and from what I can tell, all reasonably priced. Great, now I’m thirsty…

There has never been a time I have not left Macadoodles satisfied. They have an excellent selection of anything that you want. They seem to always have tastings going on which offer a greater variety then their competitors. For the person who likes to try a bunch of different beers, they have those make your own six pack option and it is about half the price of Brown Derby. Every person you come in contact with is very friendly and that has been consistent since they opened the Springfield store. They really put the bar high in the customer service and cost effective department.

I’m torn between 3 and 4. The selection is low 5-star level. The wine selection is very good, and they had two rarer bottles on my list when I went looking around Christmastime. They have a good selection of vodka and a great variety of beers. I’m not an afficianado /boozebucket by any means, but the selection is pretty good. I’m in the minority, I know, but I’m not fond of the service here. I”m fine with knowledgeable staff, particularly in the wine section. But man, you know, sometimes a brotha just wants to walk into a liquor store with a hoodie and a ballcap pulled low, grab some booze, throw money on the counter, and get out. Some smiling peppy shamrock chicks can kill the mojo of my neo-noir life. I’m trying to live like Omar from The Wire and these shiny happy people want to *proudly carry* my booze to my ghettomobile. No thanks, yo, just give me a brown paper bag and I’ll be on my way. I realize I can get this experience at lesser liquor stores, but sometimes a brotha needs to relieve his depression and/or spice up an otherwise-boring social event with something more than Miller Light. And my ghettomobile really doesn’t need someone pumping gas for me. The whole point of putting a credit card on the machine on gas pumps is for anti-heroes like yours truly to completely avoid any semblance of human contact while we cruise our bad selves around America’s lonely highways. Maybe I’m just a curmudgeon, but damn, shouldn’t that put me in their target audience? Four stars. Wonderful place and I’m not even enough of a crank to downgrade a place for being too nice. Indeed.

Huge selection of everything, you can buy drinks by the glass, and they carried my bags to my car — I am a forever customer of Macadoodles.

This is a review of their beer and liquor sections. I know they have a great wine selection, but I honestly don’t buy it often. To describe their beer selection, I can’t help but compare it to the Brown Derby. They do have more than the smaller Derbys around town, but its hard to beat the massive selection and cooler space at the Wine Center on Glenstone. They do carry a wide variety of craft beers including one cooler full of various bomber size bottles. Their liquor section has improved since I started going there. The bourbon and Canadian whiskey aisles were very disorganized when they first opened. There would be beautiful and nicely priced small batch bourbons tucked away on the bottom shelf with mass produced bottles of Jim or Jack on the top shelf at eye level. These have been reorganized with small batch and single barrel bourbons now getting their own areas which works well. The Canadian section is now better organized as well, and they’ve removed the strange«Canadian Bourbon» sign that originally hung over the aisle. My only remaining quibble is with the Scotch shelves which face the registers at the front of the store. I honestly can’t find any sort of organization. For example, there are a broad choice of Islays but they’re sprinkled across the entire length of the shelves which are about 20 feet in length. Its not alphabetical either. This is a place I’ll definitely shop at again, but it will be difficult to break my affection for BD.

Please don’t tell Brown Derby but I may be cheating on them. Ok, I’m cheating on BD a lot since Macadoodles has a much better wine and beer selection, more knowledgeable and friendly staff, and they give you funny presents for buying a lot of hooch. Macadoodles is a little treasure. It’s housed in an unassuming and faux-rustic gas station building but inside, alcoholic paradise awaits you. This place has a huge range of any type of wine at any price point, some great imported beers and a very well priced hard liquor section. I’m mostly here for the wine. The staff in the Wine Center is amazing. They will give you exactly what you are looking for, they listen to you and they will even let you taste the wine before buying. And by tasting, I mean a generous and repeated half-a-glass swig. They will also order products for you if they don’t have in stock. I fell in love with a wine in South America and the sommelier at Macadoodles tracked it down for me and ordered a case even though nobody in the US has been able to do it! Finally, the gifts. It may be that I’m a part of their frequent flier program but they gave me a couple of wine glasses and a fancy red Solo cup with a crystal base. Along with the aforementioned generous tastings. Oh, and they have cooking classes. I’m sure I’m forgetting some awesome part of Macadoodles due to a light inebriation caused by their amazing products, but just trust me: this place rocks.

They had Hangar One Vodka in a variety of flavors. On top of that, they were giving out samples(yes, they’ll card you) of flavored bourbons. I think I’m in love.
