My wife and I enjoy taking our kids here. It’s a Christian bowling alley, so no drinking or smoking allowed. Therefore, it’s very family friendly. We love that the kids can bowl for a bit, then go to the arcade to play, and let us bowl a few frames ourselves. Very quiet for a bowling alley, which we like, no drunken drama to deal with. We recommend this place.

We’re not hard-core bowlers, but I usually manage to take the kids here at least once per summer for some bowling fun. Lighthouse Lanes has been around for as long as I can remember, and it is definitely one of the smaller alleys in our area, but I like it that way. The lanes and the scoring system are all up to date(new decking and digital) with automatic bumpers for the kiddies. The house balls have definitely seen better days, but I guess if that matters to you, you should probably own your own ball. Their lightest ball is a 7 pounder. My 7 and 8 year olds do pretty well with that weight, and they also have«ramps» that younger kids can use to roll their ball down the lane. There is no smoking anywhere in the building, so you don’t come out smelling like an ashtray. Standard concessions and a few coin-op games are available. Staff was friendly and helpful, and there were only 3 other groups of bowlers when we were there on a weekday morning.

A special thank you to Micah and Stacy at Lighthouse Lanes for the extra care given to their guests when the lights went out at the alley during a family day out. THIS would be why we are willing to travel to North Springfield for the occasional bowling treat. Y’all are top notch!

Last night was my first time at Lighthouse Lanes. Yee-haw, for a little bowling on Thanksgiving night. It is tobacco free and no alcohol. They tout their family friendly environment(not a bad thing of course). There are 16 lanes. It’s not the most«current» alley I have been to, but certainly good enough. They have the automatic bumpers that come up for kids and the ramps too. There is no mind-numbing loud music playing(yes, I am showing my age here!). The prices are MAYBE a few bucks higher than other alleys, but a good, cheap night of fun. They also have glow bowling on the weekends and certain hours of the week.

Just don’t go there if you get other options! Bad smell and dirty balls…;:;:;;:;:;
