Juanita K. Hammons Hall For the Performing Arts

Hammons Hall is just a moment away from downtown, on the edge of the Missouri State campus. It shares some of its space with MSU — a few professors’ offices, audio engineering, and a large rehearsal room — but the biggest perk is the hall. Of all the college visits I had (and all of the campuses who were proud of their orchestra hall) nothing even came close to the facilities at HHPA.
I’ve played here with the MSU Symphony and the Springfield Symphony, and the space is top notch. HHPA gets some good shows to come to Springfield, ranging from Broadway and ballet to more famous names like Ben Folds and Jerry Seinfeld. The lobby is gorgeous too with the multiple balconies and curved glass front.
Another beautiful thing is the convenient (!), free (!) parking in a five-​story garage behind the hall.

This place is acoustically fabulous. We’ve enjoyed the symphony perform here, and have also enjoyed other music groups that are not classical that performed at Juanita K.

Gorgeous venue for any live act, but particularly wonderful for concerts. I’ve seen classical musicians as well as pop stars in this beautiful place and have never been disappointed. I love JKH Hall.
