I tried this after getting a coupon in the mail for free sub with chips/drink purchase. The other reviewers are spot on. Firehouse is better than Subway but not better than Potbelly or Quiznos. I got a brisket sub with cheese and although it was tasty, it was quite small. Even with the mini bag of chips I was still very hungry afterward. The price without the coupon is kind of high too. It may be a little harsh, but I don’t see myself coming back to any Firehouse Subs. I’d much rather go to a homey mom and pop deli rather than a mediocre chain.

Great place to eat a hot spicy steak and cheese, the only thing you have to worry about its about the 10 hot sauce rating it will burn you up

Pretty good. Much better than Subway, but Potbelly and Jersey Mike’s are better. I ordered the smokehouse brisket sandwich. There was plenty of meat, but it was so drenched in BBQ sauce that it ruined it for me. The balance of sauce-meat was very skewed. Service was quick and they were very polite. I’ll come back.

The food is good. The service is even better. There is always a greeting when we walk in and the staff knows us by name. We only come about once a week and that’s saying a lot.

I will say upfront I’m not a huge fan of Firehouse Subs. They are a fine sub, but really not any better than can be had at most any sub shop. This location opened relatively recently so I gave it a try. I’m not thrilled. The staff was friendly, but they left items off 3 of 4 subs we ordered. The steak sub was a little skimpy on the steak and I got a big chunk of gristle in mine. They did have the subs out to us pretty quickly, but we got them one at a time. It would have been nice to get everyone’s at once, so some of us aren’t sitting looking at our food waiting for the others to be served. If you’re nearby and just looking for a quick sub, sure, stop on in. But it’s nothing special.

Food was hot and delicious! The service was great, too! You can never go wrong with the club on a sub, but there’s a ton of delicious subs to choose from. Subway ain’t got nothin on Firehouse Subs!

Subs are great. Too bad this location can’t ever make them correctly. Do your self a favor and go to the Kingstown location if you need firehouse in Springfield. This location sucks, I asked for two pickles they gave me zero I said no mayo they put mayo on the sandwich very hard to check your order in store since it’s wrapped up. Called the manager to complain she apologized and said we have a lot of trainees here. Bottom line is twice in a row this place is screwed up the order completely. When you’re the only person in a restaurant you would imagine they would get your order right avoid this place.

Mom always said, «If you can’t say anything nice, then don’t say anything at all.» Well, I’m not going to bash Firehouse subs but I will say this: no line but what a long wait for the food to hit the table. I ordered a build your own sub. Turkey, bacon, provolone, LTM. Easy right? Wrong! Bacon tasted like some pre-prepared crap which ruined the entire balance of the actually tasty provolone and turkey. I could only eat three bites before tossing it into the garbage. Headed straight to Jersey Mike’s down the road for a real turkey & bacon sub. I’ve got to learn to read reviews before I eat at new places; can’t rely on the television commercials.

Horribly slow and they weren’t busy. Asst Mgr can barely make a sandwich. Painful to watch her right now.

Not good. I orders the hook and ladder it was decent. But I’ve had much better. The meat had a strange after taste. My husband ordered the beef brisket which tasted and looked like mush. Looked nothing like the display. We were excited to try the restaurant but will most likely not be coming back.

My second visit to Firehouse was just as delicious and they have the TV on low now. Since that was my only complaint they earn another star. Ordered a Turkey Cranberry sandwich from their Hearty and Flavorful under 500 calorie menu and it was REALLY good! I’ll definitely be back more often. Oh, and a few actual firemen came in to eat. If it’s comparable to Asians at an Asian restaurant, that’s a good sign!

Really happy to have this place open up. Very close to where I live. For my first visit, unfortunately did not go as well as I hoped. Ashley(the cashier) who took my order showed the least interest in being there. I was not greeted or anything. I could barely hear a word she was saying and she would give me a look as if I was wasting her time. For a new place, I wouldn’t have her being the first person of contact with the customers, especially with first timers. Besides the set back, I had the Smokehouse Beef & Chedder Brisket. It was well prepared and tasted delicious.

This place was near my hotel. It was under construction the last time I was here. I went there the second night I was in town and got their steak and cheddar sub. WOW. Very impressed. I came back the next night and got the one with pastrami. Good, but the next night I went back and got the steak and cheddar one again. It’s really good. And Amanda the supervisor was more than friendly and even gave me an extra pickle(twice). You’re a rock star. I’ll be seeing you guys again shortly, maybe tomorrow before I fly out. When I come back, I’m coming back to you. Get another pickle ready for me

I’m adding one more star for my follow up because my steak and cheese sub was MUCH better this time. I don’t think the toaster being functioning made the difference. This sub just was made better than the last one. Much, much better. It was stuffed with a good portion of steak, had just enough provolone, and had the perfect amount of toppings. When I walked in several employees said, «Welcome to Firehouse!» I got to the counter and was greeted(if you can call it that) by Ashley. She was just looking at me, didn’t say a word. Ashley looked like she did NOT want to be there. At all. Maybe she was having a bad day? I ordered the steak and cheese, and in the fastest, monotone voice she said, «Mediumlargewhiteorwheat?» She said it so fast that it took me a moment to actually process what she said. While I was in the middle of speaking, the company phone rang. Ashley answered it. Not sure why one of the other 5 – 6 employees who weren’t speaking to a customer couldn’t have answered it. I thought it was really rude, honestly. She didn’t say«hold on», «excuse me», «kiss my ass» or anything! She just picked up the phone while I was in the middle of ordering like she was Trinity desperately waiting for a call from Morpheus. I also wasn’t asked if I wanted to round my total up this time. Not sure if it’s because I paid with a card instead of cash, but regardless I wasn’t asked. The redeeming part of my visit came from Ernest. That dude is a rock star! Not only did he make one helluva sub, he also engaged in a very pleasant conversation with me while my sub was being made. Ernest, if you’re reading this, keep up the great work, man! You made my trip to Firehouse Subs enjoyable.

I love firehouse but this place is the slowest firehouse I’ve ever been to. I waited over 20 minutes for a to-go sub. I could’ve sat down at hard times, ordered, and gotten my food in the time it took to get food here. I know it’s new but maybe you shouldn’t open before your workers are trained
