Food was good, we sat in the back room which is my preference over the bar. Staff was attentive will go back.

Stopped in here for lunch on a Wednesday. Restaurant was full & busy, but I was seated and served very quickly. Loved the chicken salad sandwich and mac and cheese. Everyone was friendly. Great service. Reasonable prices. Will definitely return!

Some of the best food I have ever had! Smacked duck salad, grilled Mahi Mahi with sweet potatoe fries. And to finish we had the dark chocolate crème brulè.

I have been here twice and left happy both times. The serving staff was really nice and the food was good. I think the prices are a little high for what you get but other than that it is a great place.

My wife and I tried this place a few weeks ago after it was recommended to us by locals. We parked, walked in and waited in the seated waiting area while waiting for a table. Finally after a 7 or 8 minute wait we were shown to our table. At that time, almost as if on queue, a train comes lumbering by on the tracks right next to the restaurant. Nice! Looking over the menu, it is heavily in favor of meat eaters. There was one or two items for vegetarians and we each decided to try the Fettuccine Alfredo. Very delicious and satisfying, but a bit on the expensive side. Keep in mind you are paying for the upscale ambience of a restaurant located next to the railroad tracks with trains rolling by from time to time. Service was quick, pleasant and courteous. The wait time on the meal was on par with the dishes ordered. I would give this place 5 stars if there were more vegetarian options on the menu.

My favorite restaurant to go to when we are celebrating a special occasion. The prices are on the high side, but it’s definitely worth the money. Every time I go I get the smoked salmon dip and it’s as good as a restaurant on the coast.

Fantastic food, nice atmosphere, and one of the best servers we have ever had. We got burgers and they tasted amazing. But so did the fries! It was all a lot of food and tasted wonderful. I love the decorations and old feel of the place. Our waiter was very knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. He knew every dessert they had as soon as you asked he could list them all right then and there. We were too full for dessert but man they sounded delicious as well, we will definitely return here.

Food is delicious here, and if your lucky the train will go by while you are there. Service was smooth. Very nice décor also. Took a coworker there, and she loved it also.

Great staff and a good beer selection. For me that’s plenty, but I guess their are those that require more detail. Fine. Exposed brick and some cool old rail road memorabilia make it a pleasant place to park your bones while the polite and youthful staff cater to your alcoholic and nutritional needs. I had the chicken hobo wrap with bourbon mushrooms on the side. All good stuff. The mushrooms could use a tad more bourbon or something to move them from good to great. The same goes for the wrap, it was good but I can’t help but feel if the chef push it just a tad more it would be great. Long and short of it; stop by, I’m not joking the staff is great, same service I have received at a 4 star high end restaurant. The food is good and the prices are great! I had a craft beer, a wrap, and a side for about ten bucks! So go, have a drink and watch the train roll by the back door as you eat some good food for a great price!

There are not enough words to describe how much I love this place! The staff are friendly and always smiling. The food is always hot and delicious! The wait is never long. There’s a wide variety of entrees to please everyone. If they ever have the Snickers pie as a special, don’t pass it up… get it! It’s not on the menu all the time. My favorite Chefs: Jeremy and James! These guys are amazing!

This has to be the best restaurant in Springfield. The food is A+ and waiters are even better. I’ve had several things on the menu and they have all been top notch. Whoever owns/runs this place is doing a fantastic job. Hats off!

Who knew I would ever step foot in Springfield. Who also knew that this little gem would serve such delicious foods! We came here on a Saturday afternoon to celebrate our cousin’s birthday. First thing I noticed was how small the place was. I heard that sometimes, there are big waits but we came at 3pm so we were lucky enough to be seated. They did have a lot of servers, though. So I’m sure they’re prepared when they get busy. What did I like? My friend had their chicken quesadilla. It was so good! if I wasn’t really hungry, I probably would have ordered that. I ended up ordering their voodoo pasta. It came with big shrimps and sausage. It was a little spicy but it was just fine. Delicious! big portion! My fiancé had the shrimp and grits. That– that was beyond amazing. Definitely recommend getting it. He ordered bourbon mushroom on the side and I really loved that, too! Everybody in our table really enjoyed their food. Our server was really attentive and nice. Too bad it’s so far from me but I will make sure to stop by this place next time I’m in Springfield.

This place was BEYOND amazing. The service wonderful. They offered a wide variety of food on the menu. We started out with some fried green tomatoes with an amazing dipping sayce. I had the burger with fried egg, grilled. onions, and avocado I chose the side of grilled zucchini and summer squash. I also had a Blood Mary that was one of the best I have had in a long time. I can’t comment on the dessert because we took them to go. They just sounded too good to past up. I would recommend this place when you are looking for some good home cooking at a fair price

A group of 7 of my family and friends celebrated mt birthday there a couple of weeks ago and I had to give high-fives to this little gem in Springfield, TN. Everyone in the place was super nice and accommodating to us. I’d chosen the place based on a friend’s photo post of their shrimp and grits. I’m a major shrimp and grits fan, but think there must be some art to making it delicious. And this did not disappoint. We started with the smoked salmon appetizer dip and it was to die for and then the main event. Among the table, we ordered the steak, shrimp and grits, ahi tuna, and a chicken dish as well. I tried all and they were all wonderful, but the shrimp and grits was definitely my stand out. All well prepared and quickly! Service was excellent as wel. Brad was our server and he was so intuitive about splitting the check appropriately when we couldn’t even decide how to split it up. He was just a sweetheart. I’d actually ask for him if and when I return there. one suggestion for the restaurant though. Heavy chairs with metal tipped legs on concrete… SO loud. It may just be my pet peeve, but it’s really hard to move them without this grating, terrible noise. Try some felt on the tips ~ please. I wish every restaurant would do so.

We were in Springfield so my wife could check out a fabric shop. I noticed that the Depot Bar and Grill was well rated on Unilocal, and it was just a few blocks away from the fabric shop, so we decided to give it a try. We got there after the lunch rush, so we pretty much had our choice of seating. When I asked about their beer selection, our waiter told us they has 29 beers. I said I liked IPAs, he said they had two to select from. I was not expecting that. Their daily special was pork tenderloin on ciabatta bread. With the mango salsa, it made an awesome(but very messy) sandwich. My wife had the Italian steak sandwich. She liked the sandwich a lot, but thought the au jus was too spicy for Italian.

The food is outstanding. Better than ANY chain restaurant and most small Nashville Bistros. The Depot is a small-town jewel. If you blink, you will miss it.

Really, really delicious. Ambience is great and the train goes right by makes it kind of fun. I had the shrimp and grits and it was absolutely delicious. My family had burgers and steaks and love them as well. They don’t really have a formal drink menu but will make you what you asked for and they are pretty good. Definitely stop through anytime you’re in Springfield it is a wonderful place to eat.
