NEVER AGAIN. My company prepaid a car rental for a business trip in Springfield. When I arrived I was told I had to pay additional fees and taxes that werent included in the prepay. Fine. I was also told that I needed to purchase insurance, since I do not live int he US or own a car here. I was ALSO told that I had to purchase the most expensive form of insurance. I tried to argue around this, as it was clear I was being railroaded by the clerk, but she assured me that I was legally obligated to purchase this form of insurance. I didnt have time to argue as I was already late for a meeting, so I agreed. I initialed for what I thought were the taxes, fees and insurance. Then I get a credit card bill with an additional $ 250 charge for things she had added onto the bill without my consent. This is a bill that had already been prepaid and was for only a 3 DAY car rental. I will NEVER rent from Avis again.
