My husband always orders the one with the brownie and I always steal a few delicious bites. I only wish the quality of ingredients was there. You can taste some of the fakeness– I hate that, but where else am I going to cacao nibs? If you’re going out for dessert and just aren’t feeling Braum’s, Andy’s is a good choice.

I can’t really tell the difference between frozen custard and ice cream. Regardless, both are yummy and Andy’s Frozen Custard is pretty good! I got one of the concretes and it was pretty good. But anything you get there will not disappoint you. The cup was a little sticky though so be careful. Get lots of napkins when you go! I would come back!

WOW! Delicious! We decided to check out the desserts in the area and was not disappointed. We decided on the drive thru because the line outside looked really long and it was a Monday night… the drive thru was fast and efficient. The building was so cute and fun to look at while we waited. My husband got the peaches and cream, I got the turtle, one of my kids got the mint chip and the other just got plain vanilla. We all LOVED our custards, unfortunately for us, the portions were huge and we weren’t able to finish all of it. If we are in the area again, I will opt for sharing with someone in my family. We would definitely go back!

I felt obliged to write this, but please note that I have not had the chance to have Ted Drews. Yes, I also now live in STL. I should get on this. So — when people try to tell me that their home-town has the best ice-cream, the New England snob in me comes out. Outside of Wisconsin, Massachusetts and the East-coast consumes/produces the most/best ice-cream in the states. I don’t even like ice-cream and I have to have this home-made treat. I am also generally a fro-yo type fan. But what? Custard? This is like an in-between New England Ice Cream/Froyo. It’s sweet, but not overly sweet. Just get a simple Sunday and when the minor league Cardinal hits a home-run, I think they have dollar sundays if you were at the game. So — I’ve converted. I think they need to start franchising this stuff back east to give people a run for their money. The lines are generally long, but sooo soo worth it.

This is no Ted Drews, but I really like it. And if you don’t feel like driving three hours to St. Louis, this is a great alternative. Their Turtle Sunday is one of my favorites. And the concretes are always good.

The concretes are the best on the menu. You can customize anything you want to fit your sweet tooth! Most of the time the lines are pretty long but they move through the drive through line as fast as possible. Longest I’ve waited was 10 minutes, my ice cream was freshly made and delicious.

Yes Andy’s is great but you pay a lot for that greatness. For specialty items they are hard to beat. But is you just want a shake or ice cream treat go to Braum’s or Steak n Shake and save 50−75%.

If you are from Springfield you know Andy’s and how delicious it is. If you are not, then you should, if you are in town. Get a concrete you wont be disappointed.

I have found the secret the custard gods use to envelope my tastebuds to a higher state of consciousness. Not sure if that made any sense, but what does make sense is frozen custard from Andy’s. This classy walk-up offers a dandy variety of sundae’s, cones, shakes, and floats. Today, I opted for the ‘James Brownie Funky Jackhammer’ described as «vanilla frozen custard blended with creamy peanut butter and brownies then filled with hot fudge.» Man, was it ever! This custard is creamy, silky, smooth and delicious. My particular confection was filled with chunky chunks of chocolaty brownies, a nice helping of peanut butter, and a dousing of hot fudge right in the center. No shame in their game… and no stinginess either. Most«value» shops squeeze a bit of fudge on the outside for presentation only. Your left with scraping the sides of the cup, hoping for a smidgen of fudgey goodness. Not at Andy’s. A delicious pool of hot fudge over peanut butter and brownies awaited my backflip into a satisfying splash. My wife ordered the cookie sundae, and my daughter a shake. Both were high caliber as well. Prices may feel steep, but you’ll get it once you enter creamy nirvana after your first bite. You get what you pay for, and it’s well worth it. Recommend? I’d be a fool not to. Great service, clean environment, and best of all… a delicious and satisfying product. The trifecta of customer satisfaction.

Better than ice cream! I love frozen custard from Andy’s although the majority of the time the portions far exceed the space you have left in your stomach, but who complains about too much frozen custard? I don’t even think that’s a real thing. To much custard, says who? Anyways we love this place and so do our kids. Going to miss it when we move.

This place is a cash cow. Andy’s is ALWAYS busy with a huge line in the drive thru and a group of people on foot. They have something like 5 or 6 locations, and I bet they could put in 3 or 4 more in Springfield and still stay busy. I didn’t grow up on this brand of thick frozen custard, so I’m not a crazed Andy’s fan, but I have to admit it’s pretty good. They essentially have a giant machine that spits out vanilla frozen custard. Then they just blend in different flavors or add toppings.

I had not been to Andy’s since before Unilocal existed. We ate at many other Custard places in the years between – they never seemed as good, but I wondered if it was just idealizing Andy’s in my memory. When visiting Springfield for the first time in years I had to give it a test. It was as good as I remembered it. No other frozen custard quite meets Andy’s standards. I’m very glad there are no Andy’s near where I’d live. I’m not sure I’d resist the temptation!

This is a great frozen custard place. This South Campbell location is just one of several around Springfield. There is no seating and no location to really hangout, so bring a vehicle with a tailgate. There is also a drive through. No bathrooms. Definitely a Springfield must.

Nothing like Andy’s on date night. Simple vanilla is the best. I have been frequently visiting Andy’s Frozen Custard since I was a young Springfieldian child. There is nothing better than Andy’s thick, creamy vanilla and chocolate custard. Even in the coldest of months, Andy’s is always open and busy. Personally, some of my favorite concretes and jackhammers are: — Brownie and Heath Bar made from Chocolate.(This is what we like to call a «Kinser Special,» due to my mother’s family getting this concrete made for what seems to be generations). –James Brownie Jackhammer. Probably the best jackhammer on the menu. Some days I get it made from chocolate and other days, from vanilla. You will not be disappointed with the shot of hot fudge down the center as the ice cream is filled with brownie and peanut butter. It isn’t even 9:30 in the morning and I’m craving Andy’s. We enjoy also taking our 13-year old bichon frise, because they give doggie cones for free. Andy’s is a staple to Springfield, Missouri and continues to thrive. I recommend joining Andy’s Yum Squad. For signing up, one receives a $ 2.75 gift card to use at any given time. For one’s birthday, the Yum Squad gives you $ 6.15 gift card to use at any given time as well. It is the best! ps. Every day as a child, my mother used to go through the drive-thru and get a Dr. Pepper with a splash of cherry. It’s better than Sonic.

We always visit here when we come to visit. It’s the BEST frozen yogurt there is. There is something on the menu for everyone.

James Brownie Funky Jackhammer. So good. Get it! It is concrete with brownie and peanut butter chunks swirled around with a center of hot chocolate fudge in the center. So tasty but definitely bring a friend to help finish it… it is waaaay too big for any normal human being to finish it! Pros: — Tasty and they are super quick with service! — Delicious chocolaty and peanut buttery goodness: D Cons: — I had one huge brownie chunk… just wish that there were bigger chunks in it Why I gave it a 4… The James Brownie is sooooo good! Everyone needs to just try it once if they are in the area! Just wish that they had somewhere to sit around there. And I wish there were bigger brownie chunks in it too.
