Quite possibly my favorite little place to stop in and work for an hour. Great coffee, amazing snacks. Go!

The hardest part is making up your mind for lunch and dessert(you *have* to get something). Very good coffee drinks(including chai) as well. Its not just food made with ingredients from 100 miles away, its good ingredients very well-made. And super-friend staff to boot!

I ordered a hoagie veggie melt. It was not a sandwich, nor could it be eaten open-faced unless you can unhinge your jaw like a snake(WAY too thick) and enjoy coating your entire nose with runny flavorless sauce with every bite. The veggies were not properly cooked either — half raw sweet potato, it was gross. Completely ruined my lunch hour, ended up throwing away an 8 dollar sandwich so I could go eat a 1.50 $ granola bar.

I have tried this place a couple times… it is very tasty and you can save a few cents bringing your own coffie cup. Eveything is fresh and good! Prices are a little high but you should expect that from anyplace serveing healthy organic food… its takes alot of work to make these things from scratch! Plus outside dineing is cool. I had some potato quiche and a cup of coffie quiche was good 5 bucks for a slice that was about 5 or 6 bites. I recomend giveing this place a try if you want a break from super sugary packed regular bakery fair and wanna try something that will actully help you start your day in a healthy way

So good! I love the concept and the bakers there do such a wonderful job, especially considering at times they must get a challenging mish-mash of ingredients. I met a friend here for breakfast and had tomato quiche and lavender shortbread. Such a cute interior too! But I love that they have outdoor seating too so I can sit with my dog.

We had lunch at 100 mile bakery A very tasty quiche type potato bake with a spicy sausage and herbs… delicious Hubby had an egg salad sandwich on their homemade honey wheat bread very generous and flavorful –with a fresh organic greens and strawberry salad. To go a spelt blueberry cookie thing that was really good with my coffee the next morning. Great healthy flavorful food in Springfield.

3 words: honey spelt cake. With blackberries and whipped cream icing. I got it to go. I may or may not have eaten it sitting in my car. In the sun. With my bare hands.

I met the owner of 100 Mile Bakery at the Fun with Fermentation Event in Eugene. She is so awesomely enthusiastic about bread! She makes her bread with sourdough starters, sometimes gluten-free ingredients, and all sourced from within 100 miles. A truly local bakery! The white cheddar and kale foccaccia was delicious: savory, cheesy, chewy, goodness. I also tried some hummus made with apple cider vinegar and no tahini, and it was excellent hummus. I can’t wait to try baked goods from the bakery in Springfield!

This charming little bakery is located in the beautifully restored First Christian Church, home to a new and bustling food community — a Friday growers’ market, a large industrial kitchen for community events, Leela’s(Indian) Kitchen restaurant and this bakery. It’s a vibrant place. The baked goods are good. I tried a cheddar & chipotle muffin($ 2) with great texture and flavor. My healthy slice of black raspberry pie($ 4) was summery and delicious. Today’s offerings included honey whole wheat buns, scones, fruit pies, a strudel and scones. They also had savory choices — veggie pot pie, buttermilk biscuits with shitake gravy, a spicy sausage/tomato/cauliflower quiche and some great looking pizza at $ 4 per smallish slice. This is a business with an environmental philosophy. They source everything within 100 miles. Yes, that means no cinnamon or vanilla, but you don’t really think about it with what you get. They attempt to minimize disposable packaging. So when I asked the friendly woman behind the counter if I could get a cup of coffee to go, she said no but offered me a mug, trusting I’d return it later.
