If I could give less than 1 star I would. Sunday afternoon, church crowd coming in you expect a little slower than normal service what I don’t expect is a curt, snippy, rude waitress. Our waitress was not just that way to us but the tables around us as well. We heard her tell the table next to us that they were so busy the«owner» is in the kitchen. I would think that the owner should be doing that, however, that does not give excuse for the rude behavior and attitude from the wait staff. Food is ok, I personally like the taco party, it never seems disappoints!

Went there for lunch with my co-workers. This is a rather spacious restaurant. I really liked the food. The complimentary salsa and chips were excellent. i. e the salsa was very good. Chunky and tasty the way I like it. There was 7 of us and they did not charge an automatic gratuity. Guess what, we automatically tipped more than the customary 18%. I ordered the Chicken Quesadilla. It was flavorful and one of my co workers was raving about the chicken and black bean one. Don’t know why Unilocalers have given this an average 2 star rating. In my book this is a great restaurant. For a non pretentious and fun lunch or dinner I would definitely go back to this place. As a date place, I might not go there go there for a first date. But if the girl is not high maintenance, this would be a perfect second date. Good food and good conversations.

What in the world happened to this place? I’ve been here before with my mom. And for the first time in 53 years I literally got up and walked out as soon as they serve the food which was 30 minutes late. Waitress and the manager needs to be fired or retrained as a manager. What a great waste but what used to be a great restaurant.

Well this was the one and only time I’ll make the mistake of eating at this place. The bartender was nice, after ordering a drink me and my wife waited for our food. Took a little longer than expected as the place didn’t seem very busy but no problem as we weren’t in a big hurry. I ordered the Burrito Supreme, my wife the fish tacos. Food showed up and my burrito was cold, not like warm but seriously cold! The Bartender again wears very nice and she put another order in for the same thing and said she would pay for my meal, which she did. The next plate comes and it’s slightly Luke warm… very disappointing. My wife’s fish tacos were horrible as well, we won’t be returning. There is a little shop on Dickson St that does true Mexican tacos and they are super fresh, and hot! It’s cheap in comparison to Jose’s and a million times better although not a sit down place. If you decide to try Jose’s all I can say is… trust me big mistake! Happy eating!

A good representation of tex-mex. I will say though their kids eat free is pretty awesome and the main reason I take my children there, to be quite honest. The service is great. The chips never stop flowing and the salsa is always pouring freely. The 4 of us will continue to return for a meal. I am glad to go because I know what to expect both in price and quality of the food.

Had lunch today, Had good service. The chips were fine but the salsa was horrible, no flavor and no spice. Had grilled tacos that were way to salty. The tortillas were so greasy that they outweighed having grilled fish. The other dish was a chicken nacho dish that seemed to be made of ground chicken instead of shredded. Not good at all. Also like others, didn’t like all the electronics hovering by the tables. Won’t be back.

I’ve noticed poor reviews but personally for the type of food and price range I think it’s pretty good! I like an affordable Mexican food place and they deliver. We’ve had the same waitress, Sheena, a couple of times and she remembered us and was happy to accommodate our picky child.

I have no idea how this place stays in business. I met a friend here(his suggestion). He was from out of town and never been there. I had never been to this location either. We both agreed it was like Mexican Chuckee Cheese. The food is NOT good, and I thought that about the one on Dickson St. I didn’t know why people were«shocked» that it’s closing(on Dickson).

For those saying it’s not good for a Mexican restaurant, I don’t see where it claims to be Mexican. The name even says«southwest grill». Besides the waitress being a little ditzy and forgetting what we ordered and paying $ 7 for three scoops of guac, it’s a great place. The Sunday drink specials are awesome and the margaritas are huge and delicious. We only got guacamole and the sampler platter and I wasn’t disappointed. Pretty awesome that the booths have TVs at them and we were able to watch the game since we were stuck at Pilot overnight and they don’t have a lounge there. I’d definitely come back here to try the actual food and some of their specialty shots.

The white queso and margaritas were sad, both very bland. With so-so service and poor food, I don’t think we will be back, which is too bad– the live music was good!

I’ve been going here since I was in diapers. The chicken chimi is the bomb as for the atmosphere it’s like trailer trash.

I have always loved to eat here. Last Saturday night 5 of us went here to eat. The host and hostess was rude and said they didn’t have room for us. I know they were busy but it was apparent they weren’t even going to try. We left and went to another place. I posted a polite message on Facebook and to my surprise they blocked me from being able to comment or send them a message. I only posted one comment. Very rude.

I really wish I had more positivity to add to this review, but this was probably the sorriest excuse for a MEXICAN restaurant I’ve ever seen. The chips were cold, it took forever for me to get refills on water(the salsa is spicy), and the food was not good. I thought I was making a smart move by getting the sriracha tilapia tacos… Nope. They were cold, with lots of lettuce and barely any tilapia. Please don’t order this dish. You’re safer ordering a quesadilla. The Bloody Mary which was a special was petty awful. On the upside, there are tvs at the tables which is great if you want to go in, watch the game and have some drinks. They have specials on drink frequently, and I actually did like the peach margarita. Order that! I would not like to return to one of these restaurants. I just like good food too much.

Vegetarian friendly and awesome salsas! We had quesadillas, with a la carte taco for my son, 2 beef tacos a la carte for hubby, and spinach quesadilla for myself. Very tasty, so try, try not to spoil your appetite on the salsa, guacamole, and chips — even though they too are delish! The tomatillo sauce was perfect for the crispy spinach quesadilla, and our server was very vegetarian conscious, telling me there was a vegetarian rice option(not cooked in chicken broth), and black beans not cooked in bacon fat like the brown beans. Great food, great service!

I come here fairly often and the food and service has always been good. The prices are also very good. During lunch time the special burrito with yellow sauce is filling and for $ 6 the best deal around. Keep it up.

Food took forever to come out and was greasy and disgusting. My fries were overcooked and my burger was a greasy ball of trash. The buns were cheap and caused the contents to leak out everywhere. The music in here is all happy top 40 trash which is annoying and they have TVs at every table. not sure why a sw grill has top 40 music and sports bar tvs. The wait staff is all 16 – 19 and have no idea what they are doing. Also this place looks like a cheap and tacky party store threw up all over the inside. At least they have Core.

The price of all items under is very reasonable. The mexican food was great for the price. I ordered 10 oz steak with my meal, that was a mistake, it tasted like frozen beef. I ordered medium rare, it was rare and under cook. Nice place but a little out dated. I would come again only to order mexican food. Service was great.

Lol, ok so me and my husband were going to go see a movie with some friends and decided we were going to catch a bite to eat before heading out. I work in the restaurant business so I’m a little bit more lenient than others when it comes to dining in. We sat down and our waiter asked us what we wanted to drink. I asked if refills were free and he said yes! So I ordered rootbeer. He brought out a bottle of rootbeer to me, and I asked after I was finished for a refill. He hesitantly replied, «Oh um. actually I forgot to tell you that there are no free refills on rootbeer because it comes in a bottle…» A little annoying since I specifically asked if refills were free before ordering that soda but I let that slide. Next me and my husband both ordered two burritos. The steak was amazing and perfect! However my rice in my burrito didn’t look like it even touched the fry pan… Another man sitting next to our table asked me if my rice was raw too, I just laughed and said yeah it is. I don’t understand paying 10 dollars for a burrito with raw rice… I understood by that point why me and my husband were the only people in the entire restaurant other than the guy sitting across from our table. I get that their a bar, and therefore they will only be serving«bar food» which is not really supposed to be «„amazing“» but seriously… when our waiter came back an hour later to check on us I asked him if me and my husband could get new burritos because of the rice and he simply said, «Sorry I can’t do that.» and walked away simple as that. At that point the guy sitting next to us got up and said, «Well I’m leaving.» really disappointing. My advice to the people who work in this establishment is don’t serve raw food, tell the customers what their buying, and work on your appearance. I don’t mean your physical looks, I mean sitting on top of the bar making sexual jokes with the only female in the restaurant. It looks bad, and you should care more about your customers. If I were to pull something like that where I worked I would be automatically fired.

Decent food and drinks. $ 5 pitchers on Mondays… Nice expanded patio for outdoor seating. I definitely recommend the food here over the Jose’s in Springdale.
