I am revising my past review of Tex Sun Swimming pool’s service department as I recieved a response from Kevin H, the service manager. Kevin addressed, acknowledged, and apologized for the issues we encountered with Tex Sun. He kindly offered to refund our service charge and based on his reccomendation, sent out another technician to replace our pool pump. Although our first experience was difficult, in the end Tex Sun did the right thing. I appreciated the follow up service.

Used Tex Sun for a pool inspection for a home we were purchasing. They did not do a thorough inspection. When we went to use the spa for the first time, the water drained indicated a broken valve which costs about $ 200 for the part. I was not happy with their inspection.

Tex Sun Pool is awesome!!! I messed up a bolt on the clamp for my filter and when I went in to try to buy a replacement these guys went completely out of their way to find my bolt even though they didn’t have it in stock. They contacted two service trucks and actually found my bolt as a misc part in one of their trucks! Leslie’s told me they don’t even make the bolt anymore(which isn’t true). Tex Sun is a great local company and now I’m a customer for life!

Just so you know, as far as pools go, I’m no big spender. My pool is one of those plastic, above ground types. Since I’ve never had a pool, I had no idea what to do with the water after I was done. I bought $ 100 of chemicals from Academy, but still had no idea what to do and it seemed that stuff would not last long. A friend recommended I go to a pool place, which I avoided because I just had a small pool and thought they wouldn’t care about my little problem or that they would try to sell me everything they had. At Tex Sun, they analyze your water, then recommend things to help. This is all linked in their computer system by your phone number, so they can track your pool’s progress. In about 5 minutes, we had a print out of my chemical levels. They did not flinch when I told them the size of my pool and didn’t even try to sell their own products, mentioning that the things I bought would produce the same results. They did spend the time to explain pool chemistry and help me understand what I needed to do. I ended up getting fewer chemicals from them and returning all the stuff I bought from Academy. If I ever have any questions, I just bring in some water and ask away.
