I don’t care what I order the food is usually great if thy have what you order. I always recommend this restaurant on family brunch days and no one wants to go because they are always out of something. It is not a big deal to me most days but family nearly curses my grandchildren that are not going to be here for another 30 years just for asking to go to this place. Sometimes they give in because like I stated the food is great. The grilled muffins are to die for.

Wow!!! This place is awesome. Five people came with me and everyone was hugely impressed with the food. Place is small but the food is huge in taste, presentation and originality. I would highly recommend this place for a person who loves good food.

Ok but not great. Courteous staff. Prices are slightly below average. It just pales a bit in comparison to some of the better competition. Eggs on two different dishes were a bit overcooked. The gravy on the biscuits and gravy was not to my liking. I prefer the more usually encountered white, pepper gravy. The sides of bacon were cooked just crispy enough for my tastes. I will not hurry back.

The food is really good, especially the Praline Pancakes. The bacon is quite tasty, along with the grits. The eggs were bland — maybe they don’t season for hypertension reason. Anyway, this is one of the few breakfast places I repeat — besides olé’ faithful IHOP!

Such an amazing adventure — yes the food! This place gets double thumbs up! So tasty! Super fast service with awesome wait staff! What I like which is also looked at as a negative for some patrons is that the décor is eclectically dated — ITSCHARACTER! The food was so good! I had the Salmon Benedict, and my friend had eggs with pancakes topped with cinnamon butter — DELISH!!!

FOOD! If you want a good breakfast in the area, COMEHERE! My husband and I have been here twice. We’ve had the waffle, blueberry French toast custard, ghost chili skillet, eggs Benedict, bacon, and the biscuits and gravy. The biscuits are homemade and fantastic. The biscuits and gravy have been our fave. The bacon is nothing to rave about and although we always ask for it crispy it never comes out like that. The waffle is a basic waffle — nothing to rave about. The blueberry French toast custard was amazing. A little too much sugar for me that early, but by far something everyone should try once. The gist chili skillet — this! If you like spicy you’ll LOVE this! It’s really good I like it a lot, but my husband can’t really stand how spicy it is. I recommend it if you can handle the spice. Service — nothing to get excited over. We have only been here twice, but both times service has been mediocre. Our waters went empty, coffee was never refilled, but our food came out warm.

Best. Muffins. EVER! The chef makes them in house, cuts them in half, and griddles them to a slight crisp before they’re served. Topped with whatever glaze or sauce/ganache goes with it that day, and boom! Heaven!!! I wanted to eat about 10 more they are so decadent. Awesome small menu too with a lot of love!

Came here through a friend’s recommendation and I enjoyed it! My friend and I came about 10 minutes before closing time and the server said the kitchen already closed but they were nice enough to take our orders and cook for us. Clean, spacious restaurant. Interior is decent. The food was pretty good! It’s not a so-good-it’s-to-die-for kinda thing, but I would still visit again to try their other options(maybe I’ll like it more than what I got) and recommend others to drop by if they’re in the area.

We were in town looking at our wedding venue when we decided to stop on in. We were greeted immediately and led to our table where our drink order was taken and arrived within 3 minutes of being seated. I ordered the French toast with a side of over easy eggs while my fiancé ordered the eggs Benedict. Our food came out quickly, was hot and everything was correct. The eggs I ordered were perfectly cooked and the yolk was runny just the way I like it! I ended up ordering a piece of toast to soak up all that goodness. Oh my word, the French toast was amazing! Seriously, would take the 45 minute drive from our home in Houston just for this French toast. The fruit was fresh(blackberries, strawberries and banana) and the cinnamon butter was a perfect addition. My fiancé said the eggs Benedict was delicious the only downfall for him was it was on a biscuit and not a traditional English muffin. Forgive him, he does not know of the sacred gravy and biscuits staple in the Texas diet. :) We had wonderful service, even coming less than an hour before closing time, we would definitely recommend and plan on coming here the morning after our big day!

Delicious food, good service, and nice food presentation. Spacious seating area. Clean bathrooms. Have a grilled muffin appetizer! The pecan praline pancake and blueberry french toast are delicious.

I was looking for a local brunch place today while visiting and saw a Unilocal review. What a good choice. The biscuits were out of this world. My omelet was terrific and the potatoes were also. We also ordered biscuits and gravy. As I said these biscuits are fantastic and the gravy was delicious. I think it needed more sausage but the flavor was super. Some chunks of sausage would have made it the best I’ve ever tasted. The spicing was just perfect. Service was very good. I recommend this place for breakfast and plan to go back.

Unilocal really needs to add a zero star rating for restaurants like this one. I tried this place about a year ago with my family and it was an awful experience, to say the least. Our waiter got most of our order wrong and brought everything out at different times. He could tell we weren’t happy and had no problem being rude to our faces. The worst part was that we came around noon and the place was virtually empty, other than us. My family vowed to stay away from this place after that visit, as did I. However, after seeing better Unilocal reviews over time and the delicious looking chicken and waffle sandwich, I thought that it was time I give this place another try. Today we went in at 1:15, 45 minutes to closing and there was not a soul in this restaurant, patron nor employee. I walked into the dining room and all over this place looking for someone, anyone. Nothing. I even yelled«does anybody work here?!?» After deciding against walking into the kitchen and ripping whatever manager was on duty a new one, we left and went up the street to Denny’s. Such a better choice. Stay away from this disaster of a restaurant.

We were looking for something close to grab a tasty breakfast and decided to give Sunny Side a shot. Glad we did! Service was excellent. Our server was attentive and ready with suggestions, recommendations and great item knowledge. I went with the Ghost Chili Skillet and my wife had the French toast with cinnamon butter and cremé anglaise. Both were excellent. Ambience was okay. You could tell this was a Mexican restaurant at one point but I kind of liked the divey feel. We will absolutely be back.

I’ve been here twice for breakfast and every time the staff is all smiles, the service is quick, food is fresh and portions are filling. If you want a home cooked breakfast in a southern, cozy, welcoming, family environment you’ll love this place. The menu does offer some entrees, but pretty much it’s mostly ala carte at a budget-friendly price. I also appreciate they offer real maple syrup. The ham steak on breakfast menu is huge like Flintstone’s size! I gave them 5 stars although I wish they were open longer hours, but it is what it is. :-)

On one Sunday morning after driving around attempting to find breakfast without a line, we came across this nice little establishment. At first, I was a little sketched out to be honest. But Sunny Side of the Street turned out to be a GREAT breakfast place. As soon as we walked in, there was no wait on a Sunday morning(UNHEARDOF). We were seated and immediately greeted by our server. The staff were all very bubbly and kind, checking in and giving compliments here and there. Although the menu selection is a little slimmer than most breakfast joints, the food happened to be delicious. I ordered some pancakes, eggs, and a biscuit. My fiancé got biscuits and gravy. TALKABOUTDELICIOUS. The biscuits were phenomenal, and my pancakes were delicious. The food came out so quick! I’m not sure if this place is new, but it sure is a little hidden gem along 2920. I wasn’t completely wowed by anything in particular, but I would definitely return considering we got breakfast in under 20 minutes on one of the busiest days of the week. Win win!

I love going to this place for breakfast! Even though the décor looks like it used to be a Mexican restaurant like other reviews have stated, I think the atmosphere is a very pleasant and relaxing place to enjoy your meal. The music here is also nice! It always puts me in a good mood. I don’t know why there aren’t more people here every time I come. The menu here seems to be consistently changing, which is great because you won’t get tired of their menu items. Even if they didn’t change though, it would still take me a really long time to run out of things to order because there’s so many unique dishes to order! All the food is delicious and I struggle choosing just one or two dishes because I want to try everything. Every time I go though I always end up craving the biscuits and gravy(which is AMAZING here), but I want something sweet too. So bring a friend and split a sweet dish and a savory dish! It’ll definitely start your morning off well. I’ll have to come back to try their lunch menu soon.

While on vacation in Texas the hubby and I decided to try this lite spot. About a 20 minute drive from our hotel it was a nice Sunday breakfast spot. We were seated within 5 minutes of entrance and were even offered a drink while we waited. A server greeted us immediately and took our drink orders. She checked on us periodically until we were ready to order. The wait from ordering to actually getting the meal was a bit longer than expected but it is Sunday. The meals themselves were good. iPad the French toast with a side of bacon and eggs. The hubby had the 2 egg plate with a side of hash. We were both pleased with the presentation and the meal itself. My 4 stars, although I wanted to give them 5, was because of the hubby. Some of the servers were not«groomed» to his expectations with one in particular having a lot of hair on her shirt which he said looked as if she’d just had a hair cut. This turned him off from the experience because of the servers working around food. I didn’t think that it was that bad but hey.

Found this spot after doing a search for a nice breakfast/brunch place nearby. The ratings were good, food looked great, so I tried it. For the food: I got the buttered pecan cinnamon pumpkin pancakes with a side of corn beef hash(DELISH). My husband got a two egg special with potato hash. Needless to say, all was VERY good, pretty large portions, so I could only eat just one pancake. It was cool though because my husband and I were able to share and STILL have some left over. Both types of hash were well seasoned and fresh. For the service/atmosphere: No complaints here. The servers were attentive, no mistakes on the orders, and kept continuous refills. I appreciated the fact that it’s a small yet cozy setup. The area was well kept, not too busy either. At least on this Monday morning. :)

This place is such a wonderful alternative to eating at a chain breakfast spot. Locally owned and you can tell that great care is taken in the menu and food. The décor could use some updating. It’s obvious that it was once a Mexican restaurant, but it is light and bright. Just needs a few touches to make it more homey. Once seated, our server Angela appeared, and answered many, many questions for me since it was my first visit. She convinced me to try their grilled muffin. I’m not sure whose idea it was to take an apple cinnamon muffin, split it in half, butter it, grill it, drizzle it with crème anglaise, and serve it with whip cream, but I’d like to give that person a hug! Pure evil genius! Next up was some biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were a bit dense, but the gravy was wonderful and had such a rich, meaty flavor. My main meal was the corned beef hash with two over easy eggs. The hash was great, maybe a tad under seasoned, but I could really taste the brine on the corned beef and the potatoes were cooked perfectly. I think the portions were the right size to leave you satisfied and not stuffed. Service was excellent and I look forward to returning to try the Eggs Benedict.

100% the best breakfast that I’ve had in years. Amazing from start to finish. The staff was all very friendly and welcoming, the food was perfection, and the atmosphere was comfortable and clean. I can’t say enough how excited I am to find this place. My husband and I aren’t even breakfast people, but I believe we will be now! I’m looking forward to trying other things on their menu. This is one of those places that I am comfortable doing that. That says a lot. French toast with cinnamon butter. Life changing.
