Shockley Todd DDS

I had set an appointment for 4:30pm, but when I called the women on the phone said it was at 8:00am. She said that’s the time I told her to set my appointment at. That’s funny cause I go into work at 8:00 so why would I choose that time? Everybody makes mistakes so it wasn’t a big deal. Just know next time to double check for my own peace of mind.

Dr Shockley and all the people in his office are amazing. Myself and my family saw 3 dentist over a 2 year span and we were all told we had work that was needed. None of us had any issues so we went to Dr Shockley based on a strong reference and he advised each of us that we did not have any cavities and we have never seen another dentist since and that was over 10 years ago. His hygienist are thorough and very friendly. His office staff is handles the insurance with overwhelming efficiency. I just love this office.

I recently had a crown and two leaking fillings replaced with Dr. Shockley. What a great experience for quite a feat. They have the equipment in-​house to replace the tooth with a crown in one sitting (highly recommended). After making a 3D rendition of the crown area, the engraving equipment took about 20 min to make the tooth and then Dr Shockley fine tuned the tooth. He took the time to insert and test the tooth. Then tested my bite several times and ways to insure it worked. It fits perfect. The next day, I don’t even notice that I had the procedure.
Compared the my last crown that was installed about 4 years ago, Dr Shockley was an artist with the tooth and he and his staff were focused and professional.
The price after my insurance was fair and good value.

Okay so several things wrong here, I had the worst experience. I went to Dr. Shockley bc my regular dentist didnt have any upcoming apts and my boyfriend goes to Shockley. so wanting to get dental work done soon i gave him a chance. Worst decision ever. Not only does he charge ridiculous fees, he screwed up. I only had 3 fillings and he began telling me i needed 4 fillings done, so after agreeing he filled the 4 only to start having problems a few hours later. My mouth swelled up. My sister who is a pediatric dentist brought me in and took a look. Basically Shockley filled a tooth that didnt have a cavity based on my before and after x rays we obtained from his office. He’s a crook. Second of all 2 of my molar fillings were drilled deeper than need be based on the before and after x rays. so he set me up for 1 root canal i just got done, and potentially this next one. Oh and he also tried to tell me 6 other fillings ive had done less than a year ago needed to be refilled… and when we sisters office went and looked at every single tooth, there was nothing to fix, Dr. shockley is a crook. I will def be giving him the worse reviews on every website i can and i also made a complaint with the state and sent all my files and x rays and notes from dentist and an endodontist who had to correct his mistake. He will be hearing from us.
