Came in for pre-​purchase inspection. Charged $ 140+ to lift vehicle in air and have a few things pointed out to me. No inspection report given. For the amount paid I would have expected more than just words.

Oh my God what a bunch of crooks. Two seperate times we’ve taken a vehicle in and spent well over a thousand dollars to fix a problem that we then had to actually have fixed somewhere else. My wife was having issues with her cooling system. She took it to these thieves and spent $ 1700 to replace the whole system, only to have the same problem a week later. We took it to a honest mechanic who said that within 10 mins he realized that the head needed to be machined. $ 1500 later, the car is fixed. Fast forward 6 months, she has an issue with the car stalling out whenever she comes to a stop. Same jerkoffs replace everything but dont fix the issue and she breaks down the same way a week later. When they worked on the stalling problem, they let her walk home in the dark and in the rain because the guy «was closing and didnt have time». We live literally within walking distance, obviously. The first time, the wrecker they use double dipped my wife on the towing fee. He accepted cash from her but didnt report this to Precision. The tow truck driver isnt an employee of theirs, i understand, but, Precision claimed she didn’t pay the towing fee when she came back for separate issue. She said she had but that she didnt have her invoice. Bare in mind that at this point she’d spent close to 5 grand with these crooks but they were still gonna fight her over 60 bucks. The man at the counter presented her with an invoice that showed no tow fee was charged and informed her that she owed him another $ 60. She then was able to find the original invoice and what do you know? Very clearly marked was the $ 60 tow fee that she «hadnt payed». This is a very old and not at all clever trick. I tried desperately to find somewhere to post a review on their website but to no avail. Theres a 101 reviews currently posted, most of which are 4 or 5 stars. The only poor reviews posted are incidents where the customer was clearly misinformed. Save yourself the trouble, give $ 1500 to charity and then find an honest mechanic. Im currently waiting to find out if they’re gonna honor their warranty as my wife’s car sits in a parking lot somewhere with all the oil leaked out. Im gonna wait but i should just go ahead and bitch about them not doing the right thing, now. Update: David, the manager, called and offered to look at it for free because «it could be something simple.» Its having precisely the same problem it did a week ago. Last week it was $ 1500, this week it could be simple. Maybe thats why they call themselves Precision Auto, because you’ll have Precisely the same problem when you leave.

I went to this establishment to get my inspections tags The technician fail my inspection saying that the blades were too old, stop break does not work, power steering was leaking and break lights don’t work. The brake lights were working fine before bringing the car to the shop. They charged me $ 39.95 and fail my inspection. I took my car to a different mechanic to get those four things check and fixed, the new mechanic found out that the prior technician disconnected the brakes switch, the stop break did work, you just have to step on it all the way in, the power steering was not leaking as prior technician said, the right tie rod end was making a noise due to lubrication needed but not a cause to fail my inspection and the blades were old but not broken and worked properly that the change was not necessary at this point. This place was trying to make me fixed things that were not damaged, so they can make way extra money out of me. This is the worst mechanic I’ve ever been, I lost $ 39.95, I was thinking about suing them, but it was not worth it the time. If you don’t want to be scammed as I was, DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE, I hope I read a review before going there, so this could not happen to me, but from now on, I’ll read reviews of any business that I might have to pay for a service. Thanks got I just threw away $ 39.95 to learn a lesson. I could have been worse. I hope this post prevents someone else from experiencing this… Buyer beware!!!
