DON’T BOTHER!
I purchased a Groupon for Shawn Slaughter at Posh for a cut and partial highlight. Because it was after hours, I messaged him the day I made the purchase direct from his website stating that I’d just bought his Groupon deal and wanted to make an appt. 2 days later, I hadn’t heard back from him, so I called. No answer so I left a voicemail. 2 more days passed. Still no response from Shawn. I called again and left another vm. Still nothing. So I called Posh Salons’ main line and spoke with the manager.
I explained the situation to the manager saying I didn’t understand why a business (in this case, the stylist, Shawn) would use Groupon to get new customers if they weren’t going to respect those new clients by honoring the Groupon and/​or returning phone calls. She agreed with me, apologized and, to my surprise, said, «I’ll talk to him — again.» Again?!? Wow. So she’s gotten complaints before.
The manager went on to suggest that I get a refund from Groupon — which I was already planning to do. I just wanted to know before I contacted Groupon that Shawn hadn’t drowned in all the Houston floods or was incapacitated for some other reason and that’s why he wasn’t responding to my communication attempts. She confirmed, however, that Shawn had been at work on all the days I called, wasn’t ill or injured, and that the phone number I used was correct.
I use Groupon not just for good deals but to find a new service provider — why should I pay full price for a service done by someone I’m unfamiliar with? If the job is done well, I’ll go back and pay the standard rate, if not, then I don’t and I haven’t wasted too much money. And, if that service provider/​business doesn’t communicate well — or at all! — the Groupon has served another purpose by showing me the true colors of the business and not to use them. Thankfully Groupon’s customer service is outstanding and they’ll refund your purchase if unsatisfied.

Went to see Shaun to have my hair cut and colored. I showed him a picture of the color I wanted and it came out perfectly! Definitely recommend him to anyone.

Shaun is the absolute BEST! My head was a complete mess before I sat in his chair. He was able to work his magic and take my hair from a dark ugly brown to a medium brown that I’m in love with!!! I will definitely be booking again!

After a day on Unilocal looking for a new place to get my haircut I sent Shaun a text. He was able to see me the same day and did such a great job!

Sydney is amazing! She has been doing my hair for many years now and I will never go to anyone else. She is sweet, easy going and talented.

Shaun gave me the best haircut of my life. He really knows how to be creative if you have no idea what you want. He came up with the most beautiful cut for me. It flows nicely, has great body and layers. He should be in Hollywood doing the movie stars hair. He’s that good. He is affordable, uses the highest quality products and he smells good! Very important! He also is very gentle. It was so therapeutic. The Woodlands is lucky to have this artist! Much love, Shaun! You have a new lifetime client!

Shawn slaughter is seriously the best! I’ve had a lot of good hair dressers but when I moved here I had no idea who to go to. My friend from high school recommended him to me. He is amazing! He’s honest about your hair & cares about the healthiness of it. He’s cautious about the damage it might do (which is very little the way he does it, any kind of color will do some type of damage) he gives the absolute best scalp rubs when he washes your hair. I need to go in soon just for a shampoo because it’s seriously so relaxing. He’s generally busy but can definitely get you in & work around your schedule. You won’t regret it!

I recommend Ashley Wrinkle if you are looking for a new stylist and wanting to try out Posh Salons! I used to have normal everyday hair and she transformed it into a work of art. If you don’t go to her then you will definitely be missing out and regret it after your hair appointment for a cut and color from someone else disappoints you! I’ve sent her many clients since meeting her and all of them say the same!

Kristi is your go to person! I am VERY, VERY skeptical about anyone touching my hair… BUT Kristi has most certainly changed something about that! I usually do not trust anyone giving me a cut (due to bad experiences) let alone color my hair. This was NOT an issue this time around. She is booked up like crazy for a reason! Kristi is SO amazing at what she does! She knows exactly what she is doing, not to mention she is someone you can trust. This was my first time seeing her, for a cut and color (balayage). And amazing does not even begin to cover it! Obviously, I was very nervous about this appointment but as soon as I saw the results, I felt like I could breathe again! Thank you SO MUCH Kristi for giving my hair life and for giving me the «fall look» you promised! Looking forward to my next visit! :)

Love going to this place. I’ve always used Ashley and she has done a great job everytime. She is very friendly and easy to talk to. Never any awkward moments. Prices are very reasonable and I would literally never go to anyone else.
I completely recommend her to my male and female friends.

Jenny is awesome! I recently moved from FL & was worried about finding a good hair stylist. I was lucky I made such a good choice! It was like she knew how to highlight & cut my hair immediately! The highlights look natural, the cut grows out beautifully! She knows hair!

Never disappointed when I go. It’s been wonderful working with Kristine because she has had patience with me. I was really skeptical about my hair turning honey blond at the beginning but what was reaffirming was that I previously had seen kristines artwork on multiple clients… So with the dramatic yet subtle balyage hair coloring I would get, allowed me to experience a gradual increase for the need of more blonde… Im currently a customer there and love this girl! Will continue making that 45 min drive to see her.

Absolutely needed a stylist close to home and discovered JENNY. She is very professional and totally delightful. I love the cut, the color and style. If you choose her you won’t be disappointed!

Donna is awesome! I’m new to Houston and was looking for a new hair stylist. Keep in mind in extremely picky and she had so much experience she makes your hair looks like you paid a New York celebrity stylist. I’m always hesitant to try new hair stylist because I love my length and natural color but she did an ombré that blends really well. Take a picture of what you want and communicate exactly what you want she will go the extra mile! I love my haircut and color!

So happy I read the reviews before going. I just had my haircut with Jenny today and she did an amazing job! I have fine hair and wanted a fresh choppy/​messy bob look and she delivered. I cannot remember the last time I left a salon this happy. Thanks Unilocalers

Due to my busy season schedule, I had to squeeze in a hair appointment here as it is close to my client. I had grown out my hair so long for my wedding, and wanted to keep it long, but really needed it shaped up and split ends cut off. I took in several pictures of similar cut right at or below my shoulders so I could still put it in a pony tail for working out and low maintenance when I need additional 10 minutes of sleep. The lady’s first pass started at my shoulder and by the time I left there, my hair now sits at my chin and long way from getting into a pony tail. So very disappointed and upset about it. Far from what I asked for, at least 4 – 5 inches shorter than what I requested.

I have «blonde» hair and I have been going to Jenny for years. I frequently get compliments on my hair. Jenny is the ultimate stylist. She bends over backwards to make sure I am happy. She has a very loyal clientele and I am so thankful to be one of her clients. Her work is the finest in the Woodlands. She sees all ages and one of my daughter’s favorite gifts is the «works» by Jenny.

Went here last week for the first time. I got a cut from lissette. She was very nice. I wanted a trim and my hair was in layers. The hair cut was very blunt. The place itself is very nice however I was not pleased with my cut. I ended up going else where to get it fixed. I’m finally able to wear my hair down.

Everyone at least once, needs to try Sydney at Posh Salons. I have no idea why it’s taken me so long to write a review. I’ve been seeing Sydney for years now. She even did my hair on my wedding day. I have several friends who also go to her and won’t let anyone else touch them! Sydney is everything your head has ever dreamed of and ever will. Simple as that.
She listens to you. I can honestly say that no one has ever heard me quite the way she has when discussing a new style. That in itself is rare if you ask me. I always go in with a grand plan, and never can quite explain what it is that I want. Most of the time it’s because I don’t really know myself. I usually walk in and show her some pictures and say «make these two hair styles have a baby» and every time, she. Nails. It.
She’s consistent. She’s got an eye for color combos unlike anyone I’ve ever seen, and I know my fair share of stylists. I always leave her chair blindsided. I feel like I walk in not even knowing how badly I want what I’m going to leave with. I’m 100% absolutely happy every time I leave. I can’t quite explain it. Everyone I know calls her the hair wizard and it’s pretty much the truth. You’re really just wasting your money going anywhere else. Especially, if you live in The Woodlands or Spring. I drive from Memorial so, there’s that. Like I said try her at least once, your hair will love you like it’s never loved before!
