Went to this location for dinner. They had no lines and no one in the drive through. I waited 20 minutes because these high school kids forgot to cook my dinner… They need better mgmt and a filter for the hiring process. Its a joke! I wont be back!

Bounces through periods of excellence and periods of horrible. Right now they are in a very horrible period — dried out chicken and very old Cajun rice that are almost inedible. Just a week ago the food was fresh and the chicken was very juicy. Can this be different managers causing this? No matter, I won’t be back for a while. I wish they would stabilize their food quality.

Went to Popeyes for the first time this evening and had an awesome drive thru experience. Delaney was the person that took my order. He was super friendly and even made small talk with me. It was exceptional service. The food is just normal fast food as you’d expect. But it got the job done. Thanks Delaney!

I like Popeyes a-ok. This location gets the order correct. Btw we always have a fresh batch of chicken dropped in unless we physically saw a new batch come out. So we get hot fresh chicken, 2 pints of sides and a box of biscuits. You can order the chicken regular, spicy or both. The chicken is averagely battered plus but not heavily battered. The biscuits are a-ok and are yummy with butter or honey. The coleslaw varies from light mayo to an average amount of mayo. It’s fresh and crunchy. My fave is the red beans and rice. They also have a decent dirty rice and other sides are available. I was going to give four star but the special I was quoted this time over the phone included the pints of sides and biscuits. When we went to pay it came to twice the price. We were charged extra for the sides and biscuits. This store has a habit of doing this. I didn’t get the name of the person on the phone or we would of battled out the price. The Popeyes on Rayford and Sawdust always has much better promotions which they honor. The Popeyes across from Lakeview Marina also has better pricing with their coupons. They all seem to run a little different. I’m not sure if they are franchised or company owner or a combo of both. Chicken always seems to be decent sized pieces and hot if you ask them to drop a new batch for your order. I heard from an ex employee that they’re suppose to do it if you ask. Unilocal Review #325

Seriously, a complete screw up, on National Fried Chicken Day!!! Basically, unlike any drive thru experience I’ve ever had & I don’t do fast food often. I honestly think the guy in the window was on something other than chicken wings & hot sauce, unacceptable. The order was simple — 10 mixed wings, 3 sides & some biscuits. Once the guy opened the sliding door, he looked as if he had no idea why we were there. Asked what the order was, then told us to pull forward & wait for it to come out. The next FOUR cars behind us were instructed to do the same because their parking lot filled up with people from the drive thru. What is going on here?! So the guy comes out with a giant bag of food, asks 3 cars about the food, no luck — comes to my window & asks if «this was our bag?» I asked what it was & he replies«I think it’s like 4 or 6 biscuits or something & maybe some sides. «We ask if there’s chicken in the bag & he just stares at us and says«I don’t know .» HOWDOYOUNOTKNOW!!! You work at a chicken place man! Lol really?! After failing at passing out the food to any of the drive thru customers in the parking lot, a woman who seemed like a manager comes out with the same bag, gives it to my truck, apologizes for the mix up which was cool but. Our food was wrong!!! Mind you this is about 25 minutes of wait time for drive thru fried chicken. She fixed the mistake but didn’t get our sauces or plastic silverware or even napkins ! I love Popeye’s though, just not this location

It’s fine. Not a ringing endorsement, I admit, but hey, it’s fast food Cajun. And endemic to a fast food restaurant, you have a real hot/cold issue with the employees, since most are high school age. Some try real hard to please, many know they’re not getting paid much and don’t understand customer service. I came back tonight to see that they’ve upgraded the menus(oooh, digital screens!) and real-time order viewing, and saw firsthand the good employee/bad employee dynamic: the guy who took my order was great. The guy who put my food on the tra, who THREW the sauce packets onto the tray at me, not so much.

The quality of the workers is terrible. They can’t understand English. They are slow. The manager tried to help but also couldn’t enter a couple order. The service is just bad. The chicken was dried out, the corn was good. I try this place once every couple of months but it keeps getting worst. A new manager every time and new workers too. Try another location.

I have no complaints about this location and the woman behind the counter was super nice to us and my kids, which earns huge points. I did not know you can get any of their meals in tenders, it does not have to be all bone. We sat outside and had a nice time. The food was Popeye’s good and we liked. We go about once a month, is that bad?

This happens to be my favorite popeyes location! They add alot of hot sauce and I happen to love how crunchy they make it, the chicken is very juicy! I’ve been there more than once, maybe the other guys had a one time experience

I typically enjoy Popeyes but this one gets low traffic because of where it is located. Taste like the chicken sat for a while
