Office Depot

I came here to get something bound for school at the printing service area. There were two people ahead of me and only one employee. Service is pretty slow. I liked that the employee made several attempts to get someone else to help her. When I finally got some assistance, they were out of the specific binding material I wanted. They must’ve been busy since it was the first week of school. The place looked messy. I wish they would’ve stocked extra materials to anticipate. It was cheaper to get something bound in person rather than order online. Print your material, and bring it with you to be bound. I had about 30 pages double sided, and it only cost me $ 3.88.

Slowest printing customer service ever.
I was in line for an hour for something that took less than a minute. (1 copy of a transparency printed paper) I only go here cause it’s the closest one to my house.

I went to print off my son’s birthday party invites after trying CVS and them coming out horribly. I was dreading spending so much money but I wanted them to look good so I went to Office Depot. I had amazing customer service (I wish I could remember her name, she was excellent) and it ended up being about a third of what I was expecting price-​wise. I will always use them in the future for my printing needs, I was very impressed. Wish their envelopes were a little cheaper, their selection of sizes wasn’t as good as I was hoping but their printing services were wonderful.

Everything is well stocked and clean. But (here it comes…) the copy center is poorly run– one dude (who I will not name or call out) is kinda a turd, guys. Seriously, he was upset when my boss wanted a refund on blurry copies. I wasn’t upset when I explained this to him and I know what it’s like to work in service… but during those years I didn’t take it personally… you can’t, it’s just business dude!

Customer service need attention to. Otherwise not able to find what we were looking for.

Needed to print 2 documents and fax 1 other. But because of Christopher’s lack of customer service and knowledge, I left after 30 minutes with nothing printed or faxed. While I was waiting twice he walked off to chat with another associate. He ended up blaming it on Staples «main system/​server».

Now, some things you can only acquire at office supply stores, like specialty paper (which is what I was looking for today). I hadn’t a clue whether this stuff was even available any more since it had been a while since I’d purchased it. Hubs and I were at the Home Depot that was nearby, so we swung around via the I45 feeder road to this Office Depot location.
Woah, Nellie! First off, no one was even in this store, other than the two employees that I scoped out and my husband who went over to the tablet section and started playing around. But as I looked around, I could tell that this location has a wide variety of specialty paper and office supplies; it’s all well organized and logically presented on the shelf. When I couldn’t quite get my eyes on precisely what I needed (alas, the manufacturer had changed the packaging), a willing employee was at my beck and call and easily located it for me. Knowledgeable about the paper weight, he knew exactly what I was asking for. Ooh-​la-​la, I was impressed.
This location sure beats the location that’s a «hop-​skip-​and-​a-​jump» from my house on FM 1960 and Stuebner Airline. I can’t ever find anything, nor can I find an employee, that can assist me there.
Score! The only reason I’m deducting a star for this location is because of access points: I45 feeder road is the front entrance (not driver-​friendly) and the back end of the store is hidden and sometimes difficult to find/​enter/​exit from Holzwarth Road.

As I am searching for what I want, nobody says welcome in, hello can I help you nothing. An employee walks right passed me wreaking of cigarettes and doesn’t even acknowledge me. I walk around another 5 minutes or so, can’t get any help and as I’m leaving I finally get asked if I need help?

I usually can count on Office Depot to find my office needs. Besides usually having everything I need, the employees are always friendly and eager to help me find all of the products I am looking for.
I was actually surprised to find out that they don’t sell scan-​trons there today, therefore I ‘m rating this store 4 stars instead of 5.
