Taylor just finished putting a new Hayward valve and filter on our pool. He did a great job, was professional, and taught my wife and me how to use our new equipment. Really appreciate it given how bad the previous reviews were… I did not have a bad experience at all.

The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation has investigated our claims against Monster Pools LLC. What we thought would be fines and violations for procedural and clerical issues, resulted in a review of the equipment installation by a qualified, licensed Master Electrician. The review determined that the pool needed to be shut down IMMEDIATELY. Use of the pool equipment was discontinued until all fire hazards, and danger of electrocution could be corrected. Daniel O’Bryan had attempted to trespass on the client’s property, to ‘repair’ a remote control system that he had purposely wired incorrectly. POLICEINTERVENTIONWASREQUIREDTOSTOPDANIEL’S ENTRYTOTHEPROPERTY!!! A phone call that Daniel initiated to the client’s domestic partner turned threatening. The domestic partner was not a party to the contract. The domestic partner’s role in the entire debacle, was that of gate keeper. Daniel had received full payment for his labors. He had been paid within days of the presentation of an invoice that his Office Manager knew to be in excess of the amount actually due. Daniel mistakenly believed that the client had accepted Monster Pools LLC offer to withhold $ 1000 from the final payment(Monster Pools offered this so that the client could inspect the installation for defect, also, the project was not quite finished when the invoice was presented. Daniel’s verbal harassment grew to threatening levels. Daniel refused to commit himself to any written form(he signs nothing, and sends nothing on email, or documents that can be traced to him). He had been told(in writing) no less then seven times that he was not to step foot on the client’s property. Knowing that he had purposely sabotaged the client’s remote control system, Daniel proceeded to the client’s property. The client was at work, and was given written notice of Daniel’s intentions — but given that notice with only 15 minutes notice. The client’s domestic partner was at home, and fortunately the client worked close to the home. The client and his partner are both over 6 feet tall and of large build. Their fear, was that Daniel’s interest and ownership of a fireworks company(located adjacent to Monster Pools in Spring TX) also included an interest in firearms. The police were summoned to intercept, Daniel, and to prevent any harm coming to the client. Daniel’s truck was spotted at the corner near the client’s home. He quickly turned away. He then telephoned his wife(to hide behind her skirts) and for the first time, Monster Pools contacted the client(by phone and in writing). Honest people would have no fear of the police. Honest people would go to the client’s home, and express regrets in front of the police for any perception of threats. Honest people aren’t evasive. Honest people commit themselves in writing. — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — - One would think that an investigation that resulted in prosecution would make Monster Pools apologetic for inconveniencing their client. Certainly, findings that the client could have been electrocuted are worthy of an apology. Monster Pools expresses no regrets for its incompetence. — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — - The client repaired the electrical issues. Monster Pools LLC made no attempt to compensate the client for the repairs. Then: ITISDISCOVEREDTHATTHEFILTRATIONSYSTEMWASDESTROYEDWHEN A VALVETHATISCLEARLYMARKEDFORUSEONLYWITH A SANDFILTRATIONSYSTEM… ISINSTALLEDON A DE(Diatomaceous Earth) FILTRATIONSYSTEM. The client’s domestic partner informs Monster Pools of the error. Monster Pools blatantly(and in writing) refuses to address the issue until the client comes groveling for remedy of the problem. Monster Pools then offers to repair the problem, but it is suspected that they will repair the broken filtration system with part salvaged from other damaged equipment in their warehouse. Monster Pools is told that any repair must be supervised by a representative of Hayward Industries(the filter’s manufacturer). They agree to this stipulation, but refuse to provide the name, and contact information for the Hayward representative. It is felt(but not proven) that the Hayward ‘representative’ worked for Hayward, but not in a management or customer service capacity. Monster Pools continues to be evasive about the repair of the filtration system. The President of Hayward Pools will be contacted this coming week… Geesh…
