Horrible place! Do not go here unless you have no other option. Oh wait! You do, do it yourself is way better than this place. I went there on Tuesday & got a mani/pedi. I told the lady I wanted a chevron pattern on my ring finger, when she did it it came out looking like a 5 year old did it. I told her that didn’t look like the picture she showed me & she said it looked fine to her, showed it to the owner & she said she didn’t see the problem. What the heck! When I went to take my phone out to take a picture of it to post on here(bc I said I’m just going to Unilocal yall) she grabbed my hand & started taking the polish off. Rude! I moved my hand but by then it was too late. Now 2 days later the polish is already chipping off. Don’t go here, seriously it’s a waste of your time. Toes still look good but the entire time they were using their tools I don’t think they were sanitized. I’m scared I may get an infection bc my big toe is hurting. Safe yourself the time & headache. This is why this place never has a line of people waiting to get their nails done… because they suck!

My favorite nail salon colour nail bar closed so I was in need of a manicure bad. I decided to drive to LA nails because I had seen it previously. Big mistake that place is horrible. I have never seen a more dirtier nail salon than this place there was dust everywhere like 2 inches of dust piled up on things. There was stuff just thrown all over the place. Salon staff very unfriendly. I got there at 3:30 and left at 4:27 seriously and hr for a shellac manicure. I don’t recommend this place so ghetto

This was my first time in. First off, you are kind of greeted by a woman who sits far away and won’t get up at all to help anyone. She just yelled across the room to anyone who came in. The salon itself was dirty. Nail polish bottles everywhere, on every surface imaginable. It needed to be dusted, more like scrubbed. There were still cuticles in the tool from the last person. I got just a manicure. Her attempt at massaging your hand was disappointing and she didn’t use hardly any lotion. The color I chose seemed to be too thick, so she watered it down in front of me.(Which I am okay with) She did file my long pretty nails down pretty short. She did miss the bottom of the nails where the cuticles are and I still have a little polish on the sides. I overheard them pressuring a girl for a pedicure when she clearly stated no. I won’t return to this place ever again.

I will never, I repeat NEVER, go back here after today. I am usually not one to leave bad reviews only when I’ve had good experiences in the past so I do want to say I have had a good handful of manicures, pedicures and acrylics here throughout the years and I’ve previously never had an issue. If you get the gentleman who works there, he is wonderful. Unfortunately, he wasn’t there today. I believe he may be an owner(maybe not). Today was dreadful. I decided to treat myself and try out this new shellac craze. First off, the woman who was my tech didn’t speak ANY English. I realize that they generally are only bilingual to a degree but I asked her to clip my nails and she nodded and kept filing my long nails that I came in with. I asked again if she would clip them(isn’t that the point of a manicure?) and not until another tech translated did she realize what I was asking. I should have known then this wasn’t going to go the way I’d hoped; it’s important to be able to communicate to your consumers on at least a short scale. After about an hour on a manicure(WHY?) she started painting my nails. I had told them this was my first experience with shellac so I didn’t know what to expect. Well, after 3 layers of black(thin) polish, I asked if it was the right color. Of course she didn’t know what I was saying so another woman explained to me that they use black and then the blue I thought I was getting in the first place. I think this should be told to you; I never intended to have something such as black(imagining it would be hard to remove) and I didn’t have all day to spend in the salon. But I went with it because it was too late already. About 25 minutes later, she went to put on the clear coat that I assumed was the top coat. I stopped her and told her that she missed quite a few areas on the sides of the nails. The other women came in and said, «No, that’s your cuticle,» .which it was not. There were gaps on the sides of the nails missing polish. Next thing I know they throw my hand in a bowl of Acetone. I was shocked! I never complained about the color or the job in general; how hard was it to color in the sides? So another 20 minutes of thinning my nails in Acetone and rubbing and scraping my nails thin and back to their natural color, they started from the beginning and the end result was just not up to expectation at all. This time I told her I wanted a thick color that is only going to take a coat or two because I was ready to go. There are pictures in their gallery here I will add. if I had the supplies, I could have done a job like this at home. Overall, a waste of money and a complete disappointment. After all of that they didn’t give a discount or anything. they still charged full price for something so mediocre and after all of my time they wasted and the horrible job that was done originally. I’d have argued but I wanted to get the hell out of there after almost two hours. That’s right. Manicure and shellac(which is only painting your nails!) and it took almost two hours. She did my eyebrows while I was having my manicure. My eyebrows, however, look fabulous after a gentle waxing from a different woman in the salon. She did wonderfully.

I went in yesterday for the first time and asked for a set of french nails. I’ve had several manicures and acrylics before and this was the worst I’ve ever experienced. She cut every one of my fingers and when I asked«could you please not do that?» as she jammed her sharp nails down the sides… she insisted that it was necessary so the nails wouldn’t come off… I understand to some degree, but there’s no reason to slice every finger! I could barely use my hands the next day and they’re already loose on the sides a day later!!! Bad customer service and not very friendly and you will leave in terrible terrible pain.

I happen to notice L A Nails one day when parking on the side of PayLess. I had already been getting fed up with my previous nail shop jackin the price up every time I came in for the same service, so I thought, What the heck, I’ll check em out. The woman did a great, clean, FAST job for much less than I had been paying. The shop is the average size of most nail shops. Not the absolute cleanest salon I’ve been in, but that was not a surprise for me. They have a good amount of polish colors & a decent selection of different colored powders to choose from if you are getting solar & want to step away from the usual white tip. Their prices are lower than a lot of places I know of, there are several technicians, & although they say they close at 7pm, they do not turn walk-ins away that arrive anywhere from 10 min before closing to 20 – 30 min AFTER closing. One of my favorite features about myself… my nails. The ONE thing I cannot stand to do… get my nails done!!! So I’m sure you can imagine my delight when I was in & out the door quickly with my nails looking FAB!!! I visited L A Nails again this past Wednesday & unfortunately, Joanne,(diff from last tech) was not near as fast. BUT I was understanding due to the fact that she had to spend a good portion of the time getting my 3D design off that I have done at a different salon. She was sweet & It was cool because there were so many people in there getting fresh for Easter that all of the conversations going on def made the time pass by quickly. I’m giving them 4 stars because of how fast the ladies of L A Nails work once you get in their chair, the low prices, & the fact that I’ve yet to see them ask a customer to come back later or tell any customers they will have to wait longer than 5 minutes, if that. If you have a broken nail or need a fast refill, park towards the back side of PayLess located on the feeder of 45N between Cypresswood & Louetta.
