I’ve been wanting to try this place for awhile. From the outside and strip center location it was always a little off putting but it’s always busy during lunch. Last night while running errands I decided to see if I could order online and I could. I ordered a family pack with 2 lbs of meat, 3 sides and rolls. The brisket was tender and juicy and everything else was good. I wanted to give a review because I looked online and noticed the bad reviews but we had a pleasant experience. We’re very picky BBQ sauce eaters and their sauce is savory and not sweet, it’s perfect. 4 starts instead of 5 because I think it’s weird to serve rolls instead of sliced white bread with BBQ and the counter inside needs to be cleaned up.

I wish I would have read all the reviews before I went back and tried this place again. Last time they forgot to put my okra in the bag… this time i told them about the mistake and they said, «no charge and I’ll put some in your bag!» I thought that was nice…; waiting for my food, I saw individual bags of their brand of chips and I thought yummy flavored, so I laid one on the counter. 3 sliced beef sandwiches, «medium» potato salad(veryyyy small container) and a bag of chips…$ 29.99! I said«wow., I can’t believe those chips were $ 2.25!» The guy just smiled. When I got home, no barbecue sauce anywhere. Not even on the bun… Never again will I eat there. Can’t believe I spent that amount of money. P. S. Very little barbecue on sandwich.

I decided to check this place out because I got a coupon for a free bbq sandwich from work. I ordered a brisket sandwich with the spicy sauce and a side of mac and cheese. Turns out my coupon was expired, no big deal. Total came out to $ 9.15, a little pricey considering serving size. The lady that served me was really friendly, but what bothered me was that the kitchen. I realize this bbq place but if you put the kitchen out in the open for a customer to see it should at least look presentable. While I was being served a young girl(probably related to the owner or manager) walked back behind to the kitchen and grabbed a small to go cup while I was being served. A little worrisome for someone watching their food being prepared to know that there really isn’t a lot of emphasis on the safety or quality of your food. The brisket on my sandwich itself was dry and tough. Typical bad bbq place type brisket, smothered in sauce to compensate for lack of flavor. The sandwich itself was relatively small and expensive and the mac and cheese was just average. Save yourself the hassle and just go across the freeway to Rudy’s were you can get consistently good brisket.

Didn’t even eat the food. Walked in, there was one of the workers wiping the table down. She looked at me, didn’t even say hello, walked past the order area to wake up the guy sleeping at the register. He looks up, sees me, and after about 2 minutes finally says hello. If your place can’t even greet it’s guests as a common courtesy there’s no way in hell you’re getting my money. Went to Pollo Tropical instead.

Sunday 6:00PM August 2, 2015 — sorry we are out of. Beef of any kind and baked potatoes — would you like chicken or turkey — «Sure, how about some Mac and cheese», oh, well it will take me a bit to heat some up but I will… Just makes you go «why visit again?»(Mac and Cheese — bought and paid for but never delivered)

do not waste your money at this restaurant. I paid $ 54 for family pack take out. Potato salad didn’t have any flavor, ribs were dry, buns were not the normal quality, coleslaw had very little dressing, sausage edible and the brisket fair. I get very angry when my hard earned money is wasted on terrible food.

My wife and I ate here, and the food was pretty good, and the service was good too.

Let my husband talk me back said give them another try, maybe they were having an off day the last 3 times. OK well he was wrong and I was right, this is something but not smoked bar b que. Maybe backyard grilled bar b que which is not really bar b que but grilling and that is not the same, just saying. Anyone can grill some meat with propane and call it Bar B que but that don’t make it so. I can say I see a falling star but that don’t make me a Scientist if you catch my point. No more, never again!
