I used to live by this Chili’s and it was fantastic. When I moved, I was bummed that I would be further away. Luckily I still work near this location. I felt this way until about a year ago. I do not know what has happened to this location, but I have had nothing but problems. I tend to call my lunch order in and then go pick it up. I cannot remember the last time I picked up my order and it was on time or correct. Today, was the last straw. I ordered the food at 11:37 and they said it would be ready by 12:10. I arrived at 12:10 and did not get my food until 12:23…which made me late back to work. I ordered the Pork Carnitas tacos with no pico, but extra chimichurri sauce. They gave me pico and NOCHIMICHURRI sauce(not the first time that has happened). I also ordered a kids meal(bite sized burgers) and added lettuce… open up the box and no lettuce. I have called before to complain, but they never seem that concerned about it. So today I am done and this review is happening on Unilocal. I sure hope that it someone from the company or location reads and feels like a jerk. You have officially lost a customer of 14 years and you need to get it together 2920/Kuykendahl!

Literally cannot believe I’m giving this Chili’s a 5 star review… A year ago I would’ve given them 1 star. The service used to be terrible, food wasn’t good and restaurant was dirty. This Chilis has been remodeled and is under new management and it has made all the difference in the world! We were seated at a table close to the kitchen and I had a killer headache and the extra noise was making it worse, we were«THAT» guy and requested to move tables, we were quickly moved to the table of our choice. Our waiter, Elric, was one of the best I’ve ever had. He was so polite, patient, fun, and attentive. Our food came out quickly and it was delicious! The whole experience was AWESOME! I will definitely put this Chilis back on our rotation!

Nice people but SUPERSLOW. When we first walked in I didn’t see anyone who worked there for about 5 min which is a long time when you have kids. Then finally a manager(who was sitting down and didn’t get up) radioed in a waiter to seat us. He was very nice but every single thing we asked for came way late. We were hungry so we ordered as soon as he got back with drinks and still food was delayed. My daughter ordered dessert which I allowed her to do as soon as we got our food and yes again it took FOREVER. Also they took a long time to clear off the tables. Chili’s already is second rate and the only dependable thing was the promptness of their service. If you’re going to serve crap then bring it out fast.

Great food and service, but some dumb old whore would not stop chain smoking in front of us.

This is my second time dining at this location, my wife and me just moved to Spring and previously lived in Houston on Dairy Ashford and Memorial. We have always been a loyal customer with Chilies but I gotta be honest, this location has the worst food I’ve ever had at any Chilies. It’s a bummer because we’ve always enjoyed a great meal at any Chilies we’ve ever gone to. I’ll give this location one more try then it’s three strikes and they’re out! The other downer is this specific location does not carry Shiner Bock as a draft option, this travesty should give them the final boot but I’ll be fair and leave it to the food only. I’ll also mention that the servers we’ve encountered have at least made up for the tasteless food.

My wife and I have been going to this place for 6 years now and before they did the remodel a year ago it was a decent place to go for a drink and a meal. It now smells so bad and the smoke is so strong we can’t eat there anymore. We hate that because there are so good employees that work there and we know several of them personally. We used to eat there at least 3 days a week it’s a sham that it has been let go to this point. Hope they change things soon they will have tons of competition this time next year with the new shopping center going in down the road. Buffalo wild wing cut the smoking at their place last year and they have over double their business in the last year. Hopefully Chilies takes notes.

Went there tonight with family. Restaurant was not packed at all but did appear understaffed. We waited for our food long enough for the waitress to come by twice and who I can only assume was the manager by the presence of an earpiece once to tell us our order«should be out shortly». When it finally came out almost an hour later it was barely above room temperature. Considering Chili’s has changed the menu to contain mostly Mexican food(which we have no shortage of here in Texas) we should have went to Taco Bell across the street. At least it would have been hot.

WOW?! I used to love chilis, but man this restaurant is going down hill and fast… The whole restaurant is filthy every table has food old plates trash all over them and what is the staff doing well they are chatting … The bar tender hasn’t stopped talking to this couple for 20 mins while the rest of her bar is just looking at her like what the hell lady… This is so sad I am really sad to say this is my last visit to chilis and I’ve been eating at this place since 1994… this is a failure…

I eat in the bar area. The bartender doesn’t pester but is usually not far away. Drinks come well made and timely. I love the self pay kiosk at each table. You can add the tip and it adds it before your card charges. No surprises. The food has always been consistent and hot. If I want something a certain way they don’t bat an eye or get attitude. It’s a chain so nothing surprising except what they do they actually do pretty darn good. Healthy options as well as cheer me up greasy food no sane person should eat. Let’s face it sometimes it’s just a fried pickle and southwestern egg roll kind of day. Don’t judge.

So I’ve decided to try out our local Chili’s Bar and Grill since they’ve made changes to the place. Upon entering, I instantly noticed the«NOTSOATTENTIVE» hostess. I almost did it!!! What I mean is that whenever I’m not greeted in a place that typically greets their customers, I’ll say out loud…“WELCOMETO _________, HOWMANYWILLBEDININGINTODAY?” She finally glanced at my daughter and I and says, «two?» So to answer her single word sentence, I responded with, «UGH». After our delightful conversation, she proceeded to show us to our table. I observed that all the walls and booths have been replaced with an open area which I do like although it takes away the restaurant feel. It’s more like a café rather than a restaurant but delightful none-the-less. We were then greeted by our VERY over zealous and comic-wanna-be waiter. Eh, I give him an E for effort. Overall, he got our order right, bugged the living Bejesus out of us everytime he zoomed by, «everything ok?» ***POOF*** he disappears. He reminded me of the butler on «Mr. Deeds». Very very sneaky! The food came out as requested… Of course we had the sampler which consisted of reheated frozen Southwestern Egg rolls, boneless buffalo chicken scraps and two sliders. All were edible and shall guarantee me serious explosive gas for two days! All in all, It wasn’t the worst but it wasn’t the best… Just a place to go to whenever you don’t want to break the bank to eat mediocre food.

The new décor is a nice refresh for this location. There a few new menu items, although most are just updates of originals with some minor changes. Still a big problem with cigarette smoke though. The smoke wafts throughout the place as soon as someone opens the door. Still not quite sure why they haven’t become smoke free. Service is usually pretty good here, and the electronic check-out at your table makes it easy to pay and leave. Another lingering problem is the front door staff. Often times you are left standing, waiting for someone to help you when you arrive. Staffing at certain times remains an issue as well. Still a pretty good spot for a quick lunch or dinner though.

Chilis does what any chain restaurant does, they perform well with a mediocre menu. Everything is the same, it’s cooked the same regardless of whether you are in California or Texas, and the only thing that can truly distinguish a location is going to be their customer service We had a pleasant experience ordering food to go at this location. The host wasn’t present so I asked the bartender where I would go to pick up my to go order and he directed me to a counter in the back where the person working the desk got my order all set. Only downfall, I didn’t have a set of fork knife and spoon in my to go order which was frustrating. Meh. It’s chilis.

On a drab Spring Break day, on vacation, my son and I decided to have lunch at Chili’s. 2 for $ 20 Appetizer: half order of Texas cheese fries. It was a big portion of hot melty cheese with bacon sprinkled on top with a side or ranch to dip. It was so good.(We could not finish the whole dish) Me: Steak, broccoli and mashed potatoes The steak was a perfect medium, as I ordered. :) The broccoli was a tad over cooked and salted.(I ate all of it!) I had a few bites of the potatoes but the other delights had already filled my belly, they were good too. The steak was the star of the dish as it should be. I wanted to compliment the chef but our lovely and attentive server Tiffany was with us. The boy ate a burger. I unfortunately did not try it but it looked great and he ate it all up! We will for sure come here again when we visit.

Dining in at this location is «meh» at best. The food is okay, and they’ve really gone up in their prices. We’ve had hit or miss with waiters. Most of the time you get less than happy to be there waiters who really aren’t that attentive. The food is pretty good, but not for the prices… That said, OMG the smoke in the To Go area is **horrible.** I have to call an order in or wait outside along with everyone else who has escaped it. The To Go ordering area is right next to the bar which is obviously home to a ton of smokers. Also, the way that area is constructed\the ventilation systems if designed it funnels the smoke right into the To Go waiting area. You do meet a lot of nice people outside of the ordering area who have also evacuated the smoke(and *hate* the trapped smoke in that area just as badly as I do). I feel sorry for the servers and cooks who have to breathe in that all day and night. Seriously… horrible. The only redeeming thing is the 2 for $ 20 special. That is a fairly good deal. Otherwise, the staff isn’t that enthused to see you and the prices are not that great for what you get.

Five Stars for the Bartender Shawn. He pours the coldest beers on 2920 and will remember your face after 1 visit. If it’s just one or two people, just sit at the bar. No wait and awesome Shawn!

Service was good and our waitress kept our glasses full after the lunchtime rush. It’s Chili’s, so you know what they have as a chain style place. We do like the table side guacamole, but they charge a .99 entertainment fee? Really? Just because a cook comes to your table to mix the ingrediants? Well the food was good and drinks were cold. We enjoyed hanging out at lunch.

Is it me or has Chili’s gone up drastically on their prices? It used to be you could go here and enjoy a decent inexpensive meal. Now, I did not see anything on the menu that was under $ 10. Even the salads were really expensive. We opted for the 2 for $ 20 since that is what you are going to spend regardless, so at least get a free appetizer. We had the guacamole and chips for appetizer. It was really tasty and enjoyed by everyone. We always get the honey chipotle chicken tenders and they were good as always. I also got the chicken fajitas and they were yummy. The chicken was cooked well and not dried out. What really made the meal enjoyable was our server. I can’t remember her name, but she was really nice and friendly. She brought out a couple of drinks for our kids because they were being fussy. She was always playing with them and making them feel welcome. This really made an impression on me, and if I see here working when I visit I will be in her section.

The service at this location is Horrible!!! We walked in after 9pm. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant. 3 people made eye contact with us from the back, but none of them came to seat us. After 5 minutes of standing there, we walked out. We contacted the manager to explain our issue with this location and she seemed unphased and unapologetic. Further, when we have been here before, all of the servers seem more concerned with socializing than doing their job. I can usually appreciate a young person who works hard and has ambition. I am disappointed to say that this place seems to be run a bunch of careless junior high school kids.
