Worst experience at a subway, possibly caused by poor management. My boyfriend and I came in around 930pm. Two guys behind the counter working and another employee, maybe on her lunch break, was eating with her family. I don’t know if both of these guys were new or just haven’t got into the swing of things but they really needed more help/training. The guy starting our sandwiches cut his finger while he unevenly cut the bread, didn’t change gloves. Like there’s barely any bread on the top of the sandwich and a whole loaf underneath. We both had to keep asking for more veggies because they were skimpy on them. Mayo and sauces pouring out of both sides and barely any in the center. It took 20 minutes just to get the sandwiches made! Then they didn’t charge us for avocado or something and had to ring up a separate charge and he couldn’t figure out how so we ended up just leaving a money on the counter to cover it because we had to go. Then when we got home we basically had to ‘rebuild’ our sandwiches that were falling apart. The most frustrating and time consuming subway visit of my liiiife. Your welcome for my first Unilocal review…

Nice spot to get a meal for a low cost. Large sandwich is only around $ 5. At this spot parking might be a challenge. This store is typically very busy. I appreciate the low cost, variety and the helpful staff.

Deborah, I seriously believe you single handedly run that place. Thanks for your polite customer service over the phone while taking my order. You made my sandwich exactly as requested. You had a charming smile when I arrived and took pride in your work. Thanks for this experience.

The worst customer service ever at subway and really bad attitude. If you are hungry at night don’t stop there

This place was disgustingly dirty. Every table dirty black spill spots every where. Dirty mops and mop buckets next to the door. Spoke to the manager who seemed quite overwhelmed. Who just blew me off.

I like Subway. This store on Sweetwater Road needs employees that understand that it is a sandwich shop where you build your sandwich with their help. The employees have been consistently rude, push you to tell you ahead of time what you want, and then they forget. If you give them instructions one item at a time, because you know that will make a sandwich compatible with your pallet, they get frustrated with you. One woman that works there with long braids won’t even make my sandwich anymore and takes her break when I come in. And if you say you want Oil and Vinegar, you get vinegar and oil… Um, the oil CATCHES the vinegar so your sandwich doesn’t get SOAKED… It actually does make a difference. It is the closest Subway to home, so hopefully the owner/manager of this store can improve on the customer service, or else they would seem to be just as bad as the on duty employees that they trained to be like they are.

I’ve come here off and on for years. This Subway has way outgrown its present storefront. Usually really crowded and not much room to eat in the restaurant. They have some tables set up along the side wall, but sitting there places your face right in the posteriors of everyone standing in line(not pleasant).

I came at night and the guy working there was the only one there. It took him a while to come from the back to help me. When he did, he put my bread in the toaster, washed something with the gloves he was wearing and turned off the sink with the gloves. My sandwich smelled/tasted like chemicals which made me sick.

Sandwiches… 5 stars Employees… –10 stars!!! The sandwiches here are amazing if you are very vigilant and watch every move they make while building your sandwiches!!! The employees on the other hand are rude!!! You get the impression that a judge ordered them to work there instead of going to jail!!! Even when you are smiling and saying«Please» and«Thank You» to everything that they ask you!!! The only pleasant person that I’ve encountered since 1999(when I bought a house a block away from the restaurant) was Maxine. I’m not sure if she even runs the store anymore. The last time that I went to get lunch there my order came to $ 8.93 and I paid for my sandwich with $ 10 bill. The moron that rang my order up cleared the screen before noticing the«change due» amount. I politely told her that my change would be $ 1.07. She didn’t believe me so I suggested that she look at the receipt since it would be printed on there. Again, she didn’t want to listen to my suggestion. She went in the back to find a calculator and everyone in the store could hear her cussing and throwing things around in the back looking for one. FINALLY she came back up to the register, pulled out her CELLPHONE and did the math on it!!! Unfortunately the issue of the employees not being able to do simple math like that in their heads has happened to me and others more times than I can count!!! If I didn’t love Subways sandwiches so much, or there was a closer restaurant to me, I would never walk in the door at this location again.

Service was very slow. Employees were leaving early and taking their breaks just as the store was getting busy. The people that were still working seemed to be new to the job so that made things even worse. This store is always busy so I wouldn’t recommend coming here unless you’re willing to wait 30 minutes for a sandwich.

This is probably one of the better Subways I’ve been to in a while. I wonder why some of the reviews are really bad(maybe because I only go there at night), but since having come here several times now, I must say the service is consistently good. Staff regularly greets you upon entering. I have really bad hearing, so sometimes I need people to repeat themselves for me, and the sandwich artists never give me a hard time about it unlike employees at other establishments. The last time I went there, one of the artists referred to my friend’s husband as «Boss», showing that he had a deep sign of respect for his clients. I decided that I wasn’t going to give the place 5 stars simply because it isn’t the cleanest Subway I’ve been to. I’m not a germaphobe, but when eating out places, I get a little uneasy if I see left over food particles on the tables, floors, or even chairs — some of which I had seen once when I dined in, but I must say, I’d rather go here than to the other Subway by the two-story McDonald’s off Paradise Valley Rd despite it being further away from me =)

Sandwich was okay, but I was grossed out and put off by the negligence of my server. Between adding condiments, she ran her plastic glove covered fingers over an 8 inch loose rubber gasket above the condiments and then continued to handle the condiments for my sandwich afterwards! The gasket appeared to be slightly loose, but I had to wonder how clean it was! Then she asked if I wanted mayo and I said no to the mayo and she put it on anyway! So it was a combination of getting grossed out and the fact that she wasn’t even listening after she asked about the mayo. I know this isn’t a fancy restaurant, but if you have employees serving food they should at least respond to the customer’s response and never, ever do any kind of maintenance work while wearing the same gloves used to handle food! It doesn’t matter if they say, «Hi — Welcome to subway when you walk in» if the customer is disgusted and turned off by such carelessness and lack of attention!

I picked up a breakfast sub here this morning. I was greeted, «welcome to Subway» as usual and I said, «hey, right back at ya» as usual. After they actually laughed, well the lady did, but the guy behind the register kept a straight face, I ordered the 6″ steak and egg sub with fresh tomatoes, bell peppers, and provolone on whole wheat. I also had a cup of coffee. She made the sandwich very quickly and heated it up in their magical convection oven. The sandwich was pretty good.( ) I originally, wanted eggs whites, but this the third time, I have been to separate Subways and they have been out of egg whites. Anyways, like I said the sandwich was good but the steak was not what I expected. It seemed to have something on it, or it was a meat that has been cooked for a while then packed or canned to be preserved. It certainly was not grilled on the spot then sliced up. Overall everything from the food, coffee, and service was okay. Actually. I’ll take that back, because the coffee was great. I think I will stick to their Western Breakfast melt next time. Egg Whites Would be Nice…

I am so glad that I live next to this Subway. It is by far the best Subway in town. All the staff is super friendly. They take their time when making your sandwich and when you ask for light mustard you actually get light mustard. The restaurant is always pretty much packed every time I go in there but you never have to wait for too long. The staff are excellent multitasks and sandwich makers. I will drive there from my work and a past two other Subways because I know I will not be disappointed.

I’m not really a fan of Subway whatsoever, but if there is one thing the Sweetwater Road in Spring Valley LACKS is place to have lunch during the week. I haven’t been able to find anything remotely good, so settling for Subway is my only option. I have never been to this location but upon arrival I wasn’t horribly disappointed. The restaurant is clean and all the seating area is organized nicely with clean tables and chairs. I was promptly greated upon walking in and arrived to order my sandwich. The lady who made my wich was incredibly nice and accommodating, however, regardless of where you go, they are always stingy when it comes to vegetables, which should be their main priority other than meat. They always overload it with dressing/oil/vinegar/mayo, which isn’t always good for you, but that’s Subway in general, so I can’t get overly crazy with it. Overall, I would return to this location because it satisfied my hunger and provided me with a day long smell of fresh baked bread.

Since I became a Vegetarian, I’m just not a fan of Subway anymore. The only reason I went, was because my daughter loves them. I’d give only 2 stars, but this particular one the service was fast and friendly during their dinner rush. The sandwiches lack any substance as they are extremely stingy with the vegetables and overzealous with the dressings and oil and vinegar, so much so, that’s all you taste. I prefer Henry’s sandwiches…

We’ve all been to Subway, multiple times. I’ve been to the good and the bad. But the customer service here was so bad. The place is pretty clean for the area and looked like we had just missed the rush. No line for food, but plenty of people eating inside. There were 4 people behind the counter. I don’t know why we waited 5 minutes for one of them to come and start our sandwiches. Oh, wait… they were too busy talking about what they were going to do tonight after work. I don’t really give a rats @** what you are doing after work, the party you are going too… make my damn sandwich! It made it worse that when I was making my sandwich that the girl who was making all of the sandwiches, the other people were not helping her, didn’t know what a melt was. HOWDOYOUWORKATSUBWAYANDNOTKNOWWHAT A MELTIS!!! I explained it to her… and then she asked me if I wanted it toasted… NO… I WANTYOUTOMELTITBYBLOWINGONIT. Really?! Then one of the guys came to talk to her more about what they were doing tonight… while a line formed and everyone was obviously getting irritated with the wait and how slow this girl was. By the end of this… my sandwich didn’t taste nearly as good as it does at other Subways. You guys need to get your act together… and keep your after work plans in the break room.
