I’ve been taking my car to Sam’s for 10 years; my father has for even longer. Sam and his mechanics are super knowledgable and happy to explain exactly what is wrong with the car. They then lay out your options and give a recommendation of what is the most cost-​effective and reasonable way to repair the issue.
There is no up-​sell or pushing to fix anything unnecessary. Just honest evaluation and service from a family owned and operated business.

I took my car to Sam’s Auto to fix an issue with my alignment and balancing. A previous mechanic at another shop in Queens, NYC botched the job. I explained to Steve my situation and they took the time to carefully diagnose the issue. The mechanic working on my car showed me exactly what was wrong and showed me what exactly he was doing to get the job done. He explained to me what the parts were and how they worked on the vehicle.
I don’t know, maybe I’ve had poor customer service in the past, but having a mechanic show you what’s wrong right there on your vehicle is excellent service. Its transparency with these sort of things that go a long way with keeping clientele.
