I tried to wash clothes this morning. Started up the wash machine and after a few minutes, water was everywhere. It’s an old Maytag and my fear was that I needed a new wash machine. I searched Unilocal and found Dave. I’m so glad I did. I called and he answered on the first try. He came over a couple of hours later and fixed my wash machine within 30 minutes. I was so great full that it was fixable. The repair luckily was minimal and his fee was reasonable. I will use Dave’s services for all of my repairs.

Dave was great! I called him at 9am and he was there within 40 minutes. $ 100 later and roughly 2.5 hours later, I’ve got ice again! Yay! Nice guy, too.

I have had superb service from Dave and am a repeat customer over several years. He has the technical knowledge to repair old and new appliances, plus the integrity to refund a service charge if his repair effort is not sufficient to save an old appliance. Knowing when to stop maintenance and buy a new appliance is a skill in short supply. I found I can trust Dave and isn’t that what we seek every time we need any kind of service?

Just got charged $ 35 for a $ 5 part(generic washing machine lid switch he had in the truck-he fed us a bunch of BS about how much parts are going up these days) and $ 80 labor for a 15 min job interrupted by 3 phone calls to him. Was quoted $ 50-$ 120 over the phone but this seemed far simpler than anything he guessed by the phone. It took about 10 seconds for him to tell us what the problem was and how much it would cost… definitely not the low end of the estimate. What could possibly be a more easy repair we wondered. We have a really simple low tech machine… Nothing fancy. Should not have cost this much. Shady dude and creepy attitude. Will not refer or hire again.
