Don’t waste your time, money or energy! I am complaining to my daughters High School to NOTRECOMMEND this company to anyone. Ordered 25 graduation announcements(one sided 5×7 with envelope) and with shipping all the way from Spring Valley it cost $ 70. My dog(that’s him in the profile picture!) could have done a better job using my computer and printer. It was one delay after another, lies that the announcements were mailed, etc. 3 weeks later, I have crap announcements and am going to take care of photo shopping a better announcement.

I ordered my son’s graduation announcements from here because it was the only way I could get the school’s customized design. I ordered them 5 weeks before the graduation. I was hesitant because I thought it might be too late, but the website indicated I’d have them in 2 weeks. When they hadn’t arrived 17 days later I called. The office hours are Mon-Fri 2 – 5 so I had to leave a message. I was surprised that Don called me about an hour later. He was apologetic and said that they should have arrived and he would check on them then get back to me. He never got back to me. I never received my son’s graduation announcements. NEVER. I don’t even have one to put in a scrapbook. Everybody knows that the grad invite is how you get GIFTS, especially for college. Furthermore, I couldn’t even get him to call me back so I could get a refund. I had to call the bank to dispute the charge. Now that I’ve read the previous reviews, I have a feeling the order for those invitations was never even processed. I’m going to be giving an earful to the rep at the school who chose this company.

Don is owner of the business if you can call it that. Works out of his condo and will only meet you in the visitor parking lot. He came to my daughter’s school in Sept 2014. We went with him as he had competitive prices to other vendors. HUGEMISTAKE! It’s been over 5 months and the Letterman’s Jacket we ordered is still not here. He has been horrible at returning calls, follow-up, etc. It’s one excuse after the other and he admitted he «Dropped the Ball» and never even ordered the jacket over two months after he took our $ 200 deposit. I ordered a jacket for a friend’s daughter a couple years back through Sportland in El Cajon and it was ready in less than two weeks. Lesson learned the hard way for us. Do yourself a favor and stay clear of California Recognition.

I originally contacted California Recognition in August of 2013, after I had been awarded a free ring from them by my employer. My employer gave me a certificate for one free ring, having had a long running relationship with the company. I called the company and spoke with a manger, and informed him of my situation. He was enthusiastic and told me he would draft up an electronic version of the ring for me to see and send it to me… and then he didn’t. I wait a month, and called back. He sounded still ever enthusiastic about getting me my ring which I had earned and said he would send the proof of the ring. Then he didn’t, again. Noticing this particularly bad trend taking place I tried to make set dates to make progress on the ring, and he would always agree to them, and then, nothing. I waiting over a year, actually closer to a YEARAND A HALF, for a ring that was owed to me by the company, and never got it. I never got it. I wasted over 30 phone calls(I checked my phone records so as not to exaggerate) and countless time trying to procure this ring only to be let down. Not only will I never do business here, I implore anyone who reads this not to ever do business here either.
