Bancroft Smog Test Only

Yay! In and out in 13 minutes on a Saturday morning. Doesn’t get any better and I’m not just saying that because my vehicle passed. Very nice service and obviously a morning person. I will be back.

Used the coupon! Got in the shop very quickly. parking is nonexistent so I’m glad it was very busy today. Very friendly and quick service.

I had made an appointment for 8AM and showed up early. He took my truck in right away and had it finished just past my appointment time. I’ve found this is generally not the norm. I highly recommend if you value your time.

Have no fear! Go back and there is customer parking there… No frills, basic TEST-​only place = no reason to fail you and upsell.
Also, very simple pricing $ 50 out-​the-​door, some cars extra; I got $ 10 off with Unilocal coupon, paid $ 40 and passed; in-​ond-​out in 15mins… includes waiting for one car being tested.
They have a customer waiting area with old, but comfy couch… one SMOG check machine.

No line. Fast. Didn’t get a discount :($ 50 and out the door. Cool.

Wow I am impressed.
The smog check station is really amazing I was literally here about 5 to 10 minutes. I brought my truck down as I had to renew my registration and it required to get smogged every two years even though it’s a 07.
I am so happy I found this place on Unilocal I drove up with me and my son and I was expecting to wait at least 20 to 30 minutes not even there was no wait whatsoever hmmmm how is this even possible. Well this person is a pro they smog your car truck van whatever it may be then and there since he knows what he’s doing it makes it easy for the customer now I see why they have so many great reviews.
What was even really cool is how you check in on Unilocal and you saved $ 10 off your smog certificate and it was really cool cuz I didn’t even tell him I checked in and he already gave me the $ 10 off I thought that customer service was really good and they appreciate there customer.
So literally after 10 minutes The Smog Check Pro finished my smog ran my credit card and Wallah I was back in my truck driving home. I usually put off getting my truck smogged because of difficulty but this was as simple it can get.

Friendly service. Fast, no line. Great Price. I will come back here when I need another smog check. The place is a little hard to find. You have to enter going through the taco shop drive through and then just drive straight back past a house on the left. But overall great service!

Best smog station hands down! First time I came I failed, but they actually gave me advice on what I can do to possibly pass. Listening to everything they said, second time I came I passed! So thankful seeing that my car is a 98 Infiniti i30 I’ve been having problems trying to pass smog for months. Highly recommended & very friendly staff! Hope this helps anyone considering it

Five Stars for a smog test center? Yep. I’ve been getting my cars smog-​tested for decades, and at this place, it’s as good as it gets !
Well, if they offered complimentary lobster tacos it would be better, I guess.
The tester, Recardo Villegas was very personable and informative. The test itself, start to finish, took about 15 minutes. Due to my car being newer than the 1999 model year, the test involved only the car’s onboard computer. No tailpipe sniffer involved. $ 40 with the coupon available online. Cheapest price I know about. They take MC and Visa, but not AmEx. Oh, cash works pretty well, too.
I made an appointment online, and was the only car there when I showed up. No wait.
When Mr. Villegas handed me the official paperwork, he advised that I keep it, in case the State doesn’t send me my renewal sticker. Good advice. But the Cal DMV never, ever makes mistakes, right? Right.
A loud shout-​out to Vince S., who posted the pic of the ghastly red and yellow striped Loreto’s Mexican restaurant as a landmark. Otherwise, this place would be almost impossible to find, being behind Loreto’s, off the alley intersecting with Bancroft.
I hope this place is in business two years from now. I’ll be back.

Great, inexpensive, and painless place to get your car smogged! I had a car ahead of me and I only waited about 30 minutes total. its a little tough to find, and their are a bunch of other Smog places on Bancroft. Look for the signs, and the brightly colored taco shop on the right. Pull down the alley way and its behind the taco shop and a residential home. Very friendly people and STAR certified.
