My wife took my British Wool sweater to Spring Hill Cleaners on a Tuesday to have it cleaned. They advertise a 24 hour turnaround, but when my wife went to the store the next day she was told to return at 5:30pm as the delivery would be then. When she did return she was told the delivery driver hadn’t shown up that day and they didn’t have the sweater. The next day she returned but they were out to lunch, and the sign indicated they’d return … well, it was hard to tell when as the sign had times crossed through in 10 minute increments and it really wasn’t clear when they would return! At this point my wife became concerned about the fate of my sweater, so on Friday night(yes, this is day 3 — not 24 hours later) I went to the store myself. They had my sweater, but it hadn’t been cleaned. I was told that the leather elbow patches that the sweater features needed to be cleaned by «professional cleaners»! I took it there because I believed that’s what they were. If they couldn’t clean the sweater for some reason you would think they would have told my wife that when she took it in. They apparently sent it off site somewhere for cleaning, but it came back, 3 days later, uncleaned. As they implied themselves, they are FAR from being professional cleaners. I’d recommend you take your business elsewhere — maybe somewhere that does what they say they will, in the time frame they give you, who won’t randomly be out of the shop and who are actually professional cleaners — and that’s not Spring Hill Cleaners.
