New Hernando West Liquors

I can only guess the previous reviewers visited in the evening to experience the smokey smell they mentioned, as the store is attached to a lounge. I didn’t notice it during either of my visits. The staff members were friendly and helpful. The prices were consistent with what I’ve seen at similar stores, as was the selection. It’s not a discount liquor outlet, nor does it claim to be. Although I found it «average», based on the other horrible reviews It was a pleasant surprise. Thus, I gave it four stars.

I agree with Vic G 100%! Bad on me for not reviewing ratings. New to the area so was looking for a place nearby. The prices are robbery; found Public with liquor store north on 19, about 10 miles. Prices: Public was 40−50% below this place. Also had to go home after being in this place for a breathing reprise. If there was a 0 star, this place deserves it!

Unfortunately — another addition to my small list of 1 star reviews.
Why the 1 star? 1 big reason amongst many others. Let me list down the other reasons first.
— very limited selection of beers
— extremely bad choices for wines
— prices much higher than any other place in the vicinity
— if you are walking down the aisles looking for something specific, you won’t have any staff member around to help you with anything. Just a solo staff at the checkout counter.
And here is the clincher why this store gets a single star.
As soon as you approach the only entrance of the store, you will smell something specific. You will begin to wonder «when did I start smoking?» And then you realize that it’s not you, it is what you are about to enter. A space engulfed in cigarette smoke. Yes. The place smells of nothing but cigarette smoke from the moment you are near the front door till you get in and beyond. When you leave the store — your breath and your clothes smell of nothing but cigarette smoke. And you regret why you exposed yourself to such a misadventure. Sigh. Unfortunately. You did. I wish the owner had posted a sign for future customers that read something like «Warning: enter at your own risk. This store is equipped with Cigarette smoke»

Stopped by looking to pick up micro-​brewed beer made locally in Florida. They had none.
How does a liquor store only have Bud, Coors, etc and no locally brewed beer!!! Unacceptable.
