Microtel(one of Wyndham ’ s babies) stands for micro hotel(3 Floors) is a comfortable stay away from home. Located 5 minutes from Wikee Wachee Park, and off of commercial drive. Customer Service is impeccable and this is a brand new hotel. All modern and immaculate. Joanne at Guest Services was very helpful and checked us in right away. We purchased a 6 day stay for 2 double rooms. We didn’t need the second room once 2 people could not make the trip to Florida. She advised that we call Priceline and request a full refund. Each double room features the standard fridge and microwave so that you may purchase snacks and groceries nearby at Publix. All the appliances are fuctional and adequate. The walls are thin, but I was fortunate to be on a quiet floor. There is a free Continental breakfast bar that features cold cereal, hot cereal, muffins, yougurt, Eggs, and a Waffle griddle every day 7a.m. to 10 a.m. There is ample seating in the lobby and pool side to dine. Nearby restaurants feature a plethora of options. Outback Steakhouse, Codys, Fast food and Chiljis. Perfect if you want to stay outside of Tampa. They also bake fresh cookies to leave in the lobby. If you’re coming in from a long flight or day, fresh baked cookies can make a difference :)

This is a cozy hotel but they needs to step it up with the housekeeping staff. I thought that I got an ok deal on this Microtel. However, when I put the toilet seat down in my suits restroom and found A LOTOFDRIEDURINE and the sink had schmutz all over it, I didn’t need to have a trained eye to know I paid to much money for my room. Although the front desk staff was friendly and cleaned it for me, I was a little surprised that the manager who was present when I personally went up front and requested a reclean, did not apologize.

Was there this weekend. Very nice place to stay. The room was super clean and had a very nice décor. One night we had six people and the room and everyone slept nicely. There is a noise issue, but you have to remember, this hotel is a mile and a half from a family attraction so there will be a bunch of kids running around. If you speak to the front desk they will call the guests and ask them to keep it down. Speaking of the front desk, I want to give a shout out to Justin! Very nice young man. I also want to mention the lady at the front desk but I don’t know her name. I think she lives at the front desk because she was ALWAYS there. The breakfast a variety of things to eat. There was something for everyone. The lady who works the breakfast bar kept if plentiful. An awesome little place to stay at.

Nice staff, good continental breakfast, really clean spacious room, best room lighting I’ve ever seen, tasty cookies in the lobby, but… The reviews from people who complained about the paper thin walls are true, so if that’s a deal breaker, stay somewhere else. I just set the fan on the thermostat to always on, and I slept fine. But in the morning we heard our neighbor’s tv and yappy dog. I would love to give this place five stars, but the sound issue prevents it. Too bad, because for the price, everything else is top-notch.

I stay in hotels a lot for work, usually in Marriotts. We were on a trip with some friends and there wasn’t much in the area. I wasn’t expecting much from this place but I was pleasantly surprised. Rooms were updated and clean, sheets were clean, place was overall decent and so was the breakfast. Didn’t feel uncomfortable at all for what I thought was a no-name brand hotel. I’d recommend it if you get it cheap… I think ours was $ 95/night on a Saturday so not bad.

The hotel is clean! That is the only reason I am able to bring myself to rate it at two stars. Walls are paper thin and we could hear everything going on in the hall and adjoining rooms. It would be a reasonable assumption that the guests in the adjoining rooms could hear our conversations too. Management was extremely rude and refused to accommodate us in any way. We should have checked Unilocal before our stay. Lesson learned! Wyndham should reevaluate having Jody in any sort of management position.

Pros: –rooms are pretty clean –continental breakfast –you can bring up to 2 dogs for a $ 25 fee for each Cons: –paper thin walls –staff that is rude much more often than not –slow elevator –continental breakfast food is terrible –paper thin walls I list paper thin walls as a con twice because to me, if you can’t sleep at a hotel, then it is terrible and a waste of money. My fiancé and I have family in Spring Hill, so we have stayed at this hotel 4 times. This time will be the last. They used to have freshly baked cookies in the lobby regularly, and that kind of made up for the fact that you can hear everything in your neighbors’ rooms and the hall. However, during this trip, there were no cookies in the lobby the evening we checked in. So during breakfast, we asked if they could make some before we check out. The woman we asked said that the manager would not let her make cookies before 4, and said she would have the manager call us. The manager called and was rude from the start. She repeatedly said she wouldn’t make cookies and even called my fiancé«ridiculous.» I cant believe the lack of professionalism. The manager’s name was Jody. Besides the cookies, the thin walls here are enough for us to not be coming back. The past three times we have stayed here we have been woken up in the middle of the night because of a neighbor’s TV volume. It is unacceptable.

I stayed at this hotel because it has 4.5 stars with Tripadvisor. Looking back, most of the good reviews are by people who have only written one review(AKA the hotel pays a company to write good reviews). What a mistake! I am so glad Unilocal tosses out reviews it thinks are not legitimate. PROS: *Pretty clean *No bedbugs *Continental breakfast *Nice staff members CONS: *Not perfectly clean(stained seating cushion at the window and dirt & crumbs underneath it, shower drain was clogged making the shower water pool at your feet) *Room is tiny. *Window curtain does not black out the room *No king beds *There was a dripping noise coming from the bathroom in the ceiling fan area. It was mildly annoying and caused some delay in falling asleep *****This hotel has PAPERTHINWALLS! Around 4:45am someone started engaging in adult activities, or watching adult movies very loudly(the girl was practically screaming :(it was horrifying). I am a heavy sleeper, but it woke me from a dead sleep, and disturbed me so much I was unable to fall back asleep. I was scheduled to stay for two nights, but when I arrived back at the hotel room after my day at Weeki Wachee(a day with no sleep) We decided we did not want to stay another night and potentially face another sleepless disturbing night. Seriously, you will hear EVERYTHING! *The hotel would not compensate us for the second night, even though we ended up checking out around 5pm and not staying. The lady at the front desk was very very nice, but offered us nothing. Eventually I got her to give me a measley $ 10 discount! In short, my experience was so bad that I cut my vacation short, and did not stay for a second night which I paid for. I am extremely disappointed in Tripadvisor’s 4.5 star rating.

Could be a little cleaner, not too bad. It’s just not a five star place either. You decide for yourself.
