Soooo disappointed! Unfortunately I read good reviews about the place but I’m about to reveal the whole truth and nothing but the truth. The worst carne guisada I ever had. First off the restaurant was dirty when I walked in and the food was cafeteria style that set up in front of the counter that looked like it had been cooked days ago although my guisada tasted like it was made WEEKS ago and then unfrozen, I took one bite and threw it in the trash. I got sick with gas and stomach pains that very same night. Never EVEREVER again!!! Yuukkkkk

if Unilocal is good for anything, let it be known that this place is run by 4 – 5 mexican women, making delicious breakfast tacos and breakfast plates. you have a ton of choices and they are literally making the flour tortillas as you are ordering(corn may take a minute or two). i’m a fan and i would definitely go more often if they were closer. they are open from 6−2pm and tacos are cheap! bomb breakfast tacos if i should ever say.

We just finished eating here. It looks a little shady on the the outside. My wife almost refused to go because of how it looks. I convinced her to turn around and go. I had 2 breakfast breakfast tacos, and my wife puffy chicken tacos, and my daughter got the beef taco. The food was outstanding. The staff was friendly and helpful. The price was reasonable. My wife is from Texas and says that this is now her favorite taco joint. We will definitely be back.

If you don’t like Comal County Tacos for breakfast, you’re a communist. The spicy chicken and carnitas verde are my two favorites!

Best in Comal County. If you haven’t been, go! You will be hooked! My mouth is watering and screaming for tacos now.

The place looks like a dump, but you don’t go there for the atmosphere, you’re there for the food. Good tacos. Reasonable price. Make sure to beat the rush. I suggest you always pay with a card because if you pay cash, you will not receive your exact change back, but bring cash just in case the machine is down. Tried the chilaquiles and will never order them again. Also, they only provide 1 type of salsa.

Had the puffy tacos, delightfully good! They get 4 stars because the lines are so long, they need to have a table service!

Everyone has told me that this place has the best tacos. They do serve delish tacos with homemade tortillas. Bean and cheese is good. Barbarcoa is good. Sausage and egg is good. Some peeps were ordering suicide tacos but I forgot to ask what that’s about. Didn’t give five stars because they only had powder cream for the choice. And prices were great too.

My favorite place for fresh tacos and homemade tortillas. Also, try the Horchata. It’s a delicious drink made of rice milk, cinnamon and vanilla. Definitely the best tacos I’ve ever had!!! Whenever friends or family visit from out of state we eat here.

Pretty good tacos. I had the chile relleno lunch plate and a barbacoa taco. The chile relleno was okay, it seemed a bit messy and greasy but I think that’s the case with certain Mexican dishes? A bit spicier than I expected as well. However, the barbacoa taco was delicious, I made my husband finish my lunch plate/chile relleno so I could order another barbacoa taco. I had those on corn tortillas and it was really good. The barbacoa tacos were moist, but it was not dripping with oil. Deeeelish!

One of the best taco places in town. Authentic delicious tacos. Fast, cafeteria like ordering. This isn’t the fanciest place in the world, but yes it’s good food. And for the person who said they don’t care about you once you sit down… its a taco place… not a restaurant. The workers are all friendly and if you simply ask for something they will get it. Worth the drive.(If you aren’t into divey mexican places keep on going… lol)

Few places I have ever had a taco as good as Comal Taco. Authentic Mexican food.

Authentic tacos but definitely overrated. Very quick assembly of tacos but overall they don’t give a shit about you once your seated at a table. This place is a bit of a drive to get to and google maps address is incorrect, leads you to the wrong strip mall about 3 miles too early on 46 East.

I would probably agree that it is overrated. It’s worth stopping to at least try, but there are better breakfast tacos in Spring Branch/Bulverde. I like their hot sauce and they get people through pretty quick. It is in a small building so when it gets busy it’s pretty stuffy. I’ve only had their breakfast tacos.

100% overrated. The only good thing is the homemade tortillas other than that the rest is pretty bad.

Over rated! Building not well kept. School cafeteria style is fast and effective. Barbacoa bland.

Breakfast tacos are great. I was surprised by how long the line was but they got us through fast. The parking lot was weird, there’s no defined spots so people parm wherever and inefficiently use space
