Over-rate-Ed!. Cracks me up how people pretend this place makes good food. They did a fantastic job of accidentally attaining a nice market of stoners and drunks, but let’s be honest it’s a hometown Denny’s.

Came in on St Patty Day. I guess wasn’t the only Irishman seeking breakfast before the parade. The place is packed but they didn’t slack on food or service. Had Joe’s Special omelet with spinach.(something green of course) everything is great. Glad I stopped in. Guess it’s the real luck of the Irish!

Best place to go when the bars closed, and you need some good grub! I like to venture here on sundays and get a club sandwhich, we sub the meat for a veggie patty and it taste absolutely awesome they’re very accommodating and even clean the grill so that we didn’t have meat products on our food. I love this place so much!

My friend and I were in town for a conference and found this place via Unilocal.I don’t normally write reviews, but this experience calls for one. We sat at the counter instead of waiting for a table because they were really busy. We had walked in right in the middle of the breakfast rush, but we weren’t in a hurry so we ordered and just sat and chatted. After an hour we saw that the people that had got seated about the same time as us were getting their food, so we figured we were next. Our waitress dropped off ketchup at about 90 mins and said it would be about 5 mins. After two hours we finally asked our waitress for an ETA on our food. She came back and said she couldn’t find our ticket. What server doesn’t check on their food when it’s been two hours that your guest has been waiting? Not to mention we were at the counter, in plain view! We got up and left because our patience was gone and we were starving. The icing on the cake was when we left she offered us a $ 7.00 coupon for our next visit. That was just insulting. All around disappointment.

This is a great breakfast /brunch place near downtown. The food is excellent, the service is exceptional and they have a full bar for Mimosas, or Bloody Mary’s or whatever you might be looking for for brunch beverages! Eggs were cooked perfectly, hashbrowns were some of the best I’ve ever had and the bacon… thick cut, cooked well. Delicious! I’m new to the area so was happy to find this place and we’ve been twice in the last month. We are sure to return! I have had breakfast both times so I can’t speak of the lunch /dinner food, but I did see some of the lunch plates and would be willing to bet they are on par with the breakfast.

Jamie,(livin & lovin this job for 14 years) Craig & Mike along with the rest of the staff… Take this place so serious… They make working here appear like its their life. Craig says, «I treat people as if they were guests in my home having a meal.» We started out thing this place that I called ‘seedy’ a few months back. And we now are hooked on our Sunday morning Bloody Mary’s and so so awesome breakfasts. The staff is outstanding, the food is just the same, the customers are Kool people and the atmosphere rocks!!! Come for the low key atmosphere, Bloody Mary’s & my fave 3-musketeers… And stay for the over the top food!!!

The good: friendly, no-nonsense service and unrestricted caloric breakfasts with some health… ier options. A great place to go after a night out to sober up, or before a night out for a couple affordable stiff drinks; Hey, what’s wrong with getting things started on the cheap? My favorite is the veggie omelette which comes with a side of hummus. The eggs benedict is very popular, but there doesn’t seem to be anything that special about it. For the lighter side, try the breakfast croissant. They do a great job on crispy hashbrowns(available upon request). The bar side has a lot of seating with limited hours. Diner side is open extended hours with less seating. Staff are VERY accommodating for patient parties of more than 4. My only complaint is how uncomfortable the bar chairs are on the bar side. Overall, a great place to go when you are craving good diner food or can’t agree on anywhere else to go.

Great hole-in-the-wall! We enjoyed the Hot Mess and French Toast. Hot coco/coffee were free refills. The Bloody Mary was worth it, so good!

Staying at the Davenport on NYE my girlfriend and I found ourselves super hungry after closing down one of downtown Spokane’s many bars. One of the servers directed us to check out the Satelitte Diner as they stay open until 4am — What a lifesaver this place was! — Yummy greasy diner food in the right place at the right time!

Buzzwords for this diner: decent, good people watching, consistent The Satellite Diner is what you’d expect from a standard American Diner with its typical breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. The menu is even full of indulgent funny names for things like«boiled leaves» instead of tea and«cow paste» instead of water. What diner would be complete without the tacky kitsch? The food is very very consistent. It’s nothing exceptional, but will almost always come out the same except for heavy rush hours. That’s when certain things might come out on the warmish side instead of hot. The scrambles and omelettes are decent and well cooked even if they’re poorly seasoned. The benedicts are pretty solid. The«biscuits [sic] and gravy» is good, but it’s just one biscuit split, not multiple. The extreme eating options portion is just more food for the sake of stuffing yourself, is rather a slightly larger dish made well rather than doubling down on something okay. That said, there burgers are pretty good, that’s something Satellite can boast. You also can’t go wrong with a cup of their daily rotated soups or a plate of beer-battered fries. The service is decent, I’ve had both bad and good service here. It’s a busy place so I can understand how hard it can be to be at 100% with every cover all day. The artwork is really cool here. Artists have their work regularly cycled through and put up for display on the walls. If you’ve just enjoyed a nice sandwich, why not buy a cool painting too?! In terms of price to portion to quality it’s decent stuff. During the daytime there are other diners nearby that’ll do you better. But what about at 2 or 3am? The Satellite is where it’s at. That’s the best way to describe this place, all around decent. Nothin special, no frills, no excess. Hardy and consistent food. Interesting characters. What else do you want?

Yummmmm!!! Came in for dinner, but after reviewing the menu, we all went for breakfast! Husband had Satellite Scramble and said Amazing! Must order with gravy & cheese for full experience! Little man had the breakfast burrito made to perfection! Tortilla was soft yet crispy at the same time and stuffed to capacity! I have a lighter appetite so went for the breakfast sandwich Sliders which were also prepared perfectly! Crispy bacon, fluffy eggs, cheesy hollandaise! Topped off with a couple of fabulous bloody Marys… Muaw! !!! Great, funky, eclectic atmosphere with a friendly and funny server! I read reviews that said wait was long but we were in and out in less than an hour(close to 45 min) at 5:00 Friday night. It was starting to fill up a bit by the time we left but I would say a wait for this place would be worth it!

Great menu selection. Classic American diner food, and some with unique twists. Great service. Hip and clean atmosphere. They also have a lounge on the side — cocktail service in the diner too! I love this place for sure. I’ll definitely be back the next time through the Spokane area!

What makes diners like the Satellite great is that they are doing exactly what they’re doing, with no airs, and they do it well. No, this is not a fancy brunch spot or a bougey place to get up-jumped breakkast favorites. It’s exactly what it should be. A diner that serves up quality greasy-spoon fare, decent coffee, and does so with prompt attention. What so many other restaurants lack in service, these folks deliver in spades. Friendly enough, but what really matters is that it’s super prompt. These guys know how to get people sat, served and happy without and fake bullshit. Service aside, the food here is what you should expect from the classic American diner. Omelets, scrambles, pancakes, protein-heavy breakfasts, classic hashbrowns, burgers, sandos… etc. I came in for breakfast and got exactly what I wanted. A great classic omelet with a side of fruit and no-nonsense coffee. Also, mad props for any place that has a taco omelet on the menu. I have a deep-seated secret(well, not so secret anymore) love for taco omelets. Taco meat, green onions and cheese in an omelet? YESPLEASE! Satellite is not a place to get fancy. It’s a place to get full on better-than-average diner food, with that classic diner feel. Oh, and you can get a Red Bull + vodka with your breakfast if you want. I didn’t, but you can.

Probably the best late diner downtown. Wait staff is super fast and the food comes out rather quickly. I usually have the club or turkey sandwich with beer battered fries. The prices are reasonable also. The only real problem is the bathroom was rather gross and often you’ll get really drunk people coming in acting loud.

Great diner, super clean restroom, and friendly/attentive staff. Went for lunch and got: –Satellite club sandwich with side salad $ 9.95 –California Chicken Sandwich with beer battered fries $ 10.95 –Bacon Chocolate Chip Cookie $ 1 Totally fair prices and big portions. They are well known for their breakfast and it is served all day, unfortunately neither of us were in the mood for breakfast, so i will be back. Good location with lots of downtown parking available. Service was great, seat yourself, chill vibe. Sandwiches were great, chicken on burger was REALLY good but smothered in so much bun. Will definitely be back to try more, but please please please do something about your bacon chocolate chip cookie! It was crazy dry, crazy hard, with little/no flavor, and NOBACON! I mean, you cant get a girl THAT excited about something and then leave out the bacon???

My first day in Spokane! Stacey suggested the Satellite as she had been before — she said the has browns were fantastic! Turned out to be a sports bar — and PACKED and the Seahawks were playing. Apparently if you live in Spokane have you to be a Seahawks fanatic! We waited an hour for food. Probably more. But the bloody Mary was perfect and the nicest staff ever! I decided on the eggs Benny as our server said it was her favourite thing on the menu. Unfortunately although the taste was good, everything arrived lukewarm and the«crispy» hash browns were mainly white. And not hot. When you wait that long you want piping hot. I would go back based on how nice the staff was and that the food was good — just a very disappointing g first visit!

Got off the Amtrak at 1am. I wondered over to the Satellite that was orbiting near the station. I encountered a peculiar life form eerily similar to humans seeking diner burgers and breakfast. Being Oct 2nd, still almost a month till Halloween, I really didn’t understand why zombies were roaming the streets… literally everywhere. Maybe just a typical night in Spokane? That’s cool. I give 3 stars. The food and server both deserve a solid 4. Yet waiting for 30+ minutes for food to arrive at a diner is too long. Got the country fried steak, eggs and hash… it was good. I’d go back if I had the chance, but I’m back on the train and heading east. Spokane’s apocalyptic zombie semi-human pub crawl will just have to fade into the morning without me…

Four stars for fun. My first time here. I think I walked right past it the first try. Really need some better signage. Or any signage. Once I did find the diner it has a cool vibe with the stools and the bar. Artwork inside is a little demented. But the food prep just feet away is a blast. Food was pretty good, but not much seasoning. Overall the experience is worth it. Wish I had found this place sooner

My husband’s and my favorite restaurant to come to for breakfast when in Spokane! Don’t be fooled by the outside which pretty much looks like a hole in the wall and is right next to a bar! They serve the best breakfast in town! And by the looks of the variety of their menu, lunch looks pretty awesome! Breakfast consists of hash browns, pancakes, omelettes, meats, etc. Good portion sizes and endless options and combinations! Nothing is greasy and overloaded! Their pancakes were THEBEST. Just the taste was something unique to me. It was also fluffy. Service was also very good. They were busy on the diner side, and we were immediately transferred to the bar side which had the same, if not better atmosphere! Great food, good service, I will continue to come back here when in Spokane!
