This place has fantastic donuts! Just don’t look back to the kitchen … Yikes! I’m pretty sure a health inspector would close them down on first sight. I loved the donuts and the biscuits and gravy were good. But after my wife looked back into the kitchen to see the grease hanging from the walls and tried the less than desirable coffee she lost her appetite. Great food but please clean the food prep areas including coffee pots and ice machines. Just add it to your closing checklist, I promise we your customer will thank you.

My first visit to Donut Parade, never seem to find them open, They close every day at 1pm. The parking lot is kind of tricky, there were cars parked close to the entrance, making it hard to pull in lot. I ordered 4 old fasioneds to go and a coffee and maple bar to stay. The maple was was delicious, the customer service was great. But, the coffee was horrible! It was weak and had a bitter aftertaste. The atmosphere was that of an old 50’s type donut shop that one might find off an old road in a small town. Cross section of people from senior citizens meeting to young Gonzaga University students. I wanna go again, but dread drinking the coffee.

UPDATE: owner contacted me and we traded a few messages. They did seem genuinely concerned that we weren’t happy and asked for help on the specific employee and talking to them in general about their service. I’ll give them another shot and update afterwards. ORIGINAL: We’ve been coming here for quite a while and trying to support a local business. Today they quoted me 15 minutes for maple bars and it took 40 minutes. I wasn’t provided any updates on the time frame during this wait. When they were ready several other orders were filled before mine. However they came in after me. I had 40 minutes, plenty of time to see the others come in. When the girl gave me my donuts I suggested that it would be helpful to provide a more accurate timeframe or updates as people wait. When I told the woman this she said«we said about 15 minutes. It was your choice to wait». I agree it was my choice to wait, but if I would have known it would be that long I might have passed on the maple bars. Either way, I felt her response was rude and it came across that she didn’t care about the customer. We try to support locally owned places and I like to get donuts from Donate Parade fairly regularly, but when I’m treated like this I don’t feel this place deserve my support. Would a Starbucks employee treated a customer like this? If they did would there be repercussions? If «family owned» is important why would part of the family treat the customer like a nuisance? The donut place on division has always treated me well and will be getting more of my business in the future.

Best donuts around!!! The only downside is the actual restaurant is definitely old on the inside and resembles the wear and tear from over the years. But in some ways this is great because when you step into the donut shop, you step back in time! The flatliner is my favorite and when they are out of bacon or sausage, the maple donuts are incredible.

Only place in Spokane the get real old fashioned hand made donuts. Nothing’s changed since the doors open and that’s the way it should be. Grab a pot of coffee and talk with the locals, pretty fun group of people.

You want to know the real way to win friends and influence people? Maple Bars from The Donut Parade. Or, want to start a habit that will be highly successful in increasing your happiness advantage? Bring Donut Parade to work(start a punch card). Friendly, feel good service. Yummy, fresh donuts(Orange glaze is my current favorite… Would love to see it a bit less sweet. Maybe a lemon/orange glaze?) I would also love to see them spruce up the place, not change it, but maybe fix the booth in the back that is broken and work on the entrance area a bit. I’ve been coming here for years and you can’t stop me from coming back! Mwah! XO

Drove by this fab joint the other day and joy of joys — they are now open on Sunday’s! Seriously, nothing better than drinking coffee, eating a warm maple bar and snuggling up with a good book and blanket in this chilly weather. Do not miss this place — it’s amazing! Hours Tues — Fri 6am to 1pm, Sat 7am to 1pm and SUNDAY7am to 1pm. Just fabulous!

The pumpkin donuts were good, the rest just so-so. What really takes these guys down is cleanliness and lack of concern over it. I was ordering a box of donuts and was the only one in line. Before the lady took my order I let her know there were bugs in the case, assuming she would address it and, ya know, get them off the food. But nope. She responded with: «well they gotta eat too». Gross. If this wasn’t the only place around that sold pumpkin donuts on the regular, I would have left. But my family was waiting and I didn’t want to disappoint. Clean it up before the health inspector shows up!

If this place is open, its where I go to get a donut in Spokane. Go early as they may not have any left at closing.

If you need a religious experience then the Donut Parade is your holy ground. But in all seriousness their donuts are probably the best donuts I’ve had in Spokane. They aren’t like the overdone and over the top diabetes inducing monstrosities that come in a certain pink box. They come out frequently, are good consistency, and food flavor. Come early for fresh donuts. They also have fantastic deals and specials for each day of the week. The Friday special consists of 2 maple bars and a pot of coffee for $ 3. They also serve sandwiches and a couple of other food items. I haven’t tried the sandwiches so I can’t comment on those. But they also have biscuits and gravy for $ 3 and some change, or you can get a double order for a buck more. It’s nothing to holler about but it’s a hearty, stick to your ribs kind of breakfast that can start the day off right.

Some of the best donuts EVER! Get there early to get a nice spot to sit and enjoy yourself. Watch how quickly this donut shop will fill up. Service is… well…weird. we stood there at the counter and noby helped us. Then we sat down and got ignored. Finally we stood back up when more people came and a line formed. Otherwise it was like we were the invisible first people there. That sucked and made me grumpy but the donuts were honestly worth it… this time. I wouldn’t go back if that consistently were to happen.

Not impressed. 10 dollars for 14 cake donuts. Yes they fresh but not worth the drive there or the purchase. Oh well on to the next one!

Of all the places I have gone for donuts, this is by far the best. The donuts are made fresh daily, and there is a good variety to pick from. If they don’t have it, they will do their best to make it for you(if it is something they have the materials for). Sometimes, when it gets really busy, there will be a bit of a wait… but the donuts are well worth it. If you are in a hurry, call ahead, they will have your order ready to go. Every time I take my family here… they treat us like we are part of their family, and they will do the same for you. This is a must go breakfast spot in Spokane… and they don’t only do donuts. Try their sandwiches, breakfast burritos, biscuits and gravy, and much more. You will not be disappointed.

Arrived at 6 on a Thursday on my way to work. There were people inside looking at me and they didn’t open for 7 minutes after the opening time. Once I got inside they didn’t have any donuts ready. I’ve heard their donuts are amazing but I guess I’ll never know

Amazing service and donuts!!! Went there for my first time 6am sharp. Surprised to see there was already a few people in there and more coming in. The lady who worked there was so nice and gave me a free donut to eat while I was waiting for my order. She also said to come back and try one of their famous maple bars on the house since I was in a rush and couldn’t wait until 6:30 when they are usually done. Truly a gem of a business in Spokane with the old fashion nostalgic feel and service that takes you back to better times. 5⁄5!

Greatest donut shop in spokane, the usa, and the known donut-eating universe. anyone, who isn’t rating Donut Parade 4 stars or higher is an alien from outerspace. i haven’t been to spokane for a decade and a half and there are 3 things i miss most about spokaine. 1. donut parade 2. the jukebox at the mayflower 3. northern lights(the beer) but donut parade is *by far* the thing i miss most about spokane…

Been coming here for 5 years. The staff ridiculously friendly, it’s fun to be remembered. The donuts made by the same guy. The owner who opened this business! Their donuts aren’t very bready. They are nice and soft with great icing on top. All these years I have not found anything significant enough to complain about. Locally owned!!! This place is NOT overrated, you must come if you haven’t tried. If you are the type of person that likes to go against whatever Is popular or the«trend» and this falls under that, let go of your pride come and try their simply delicious donuts!!!

A dive with donuts to kill for. I loved the whole experience! The maple bar is a must. Just ridiculously good. I’m thankful I don’t live near DP or they’d have to roll me outta the restaurant in 3 years. The only downside would be the distinct smell of grease, biscuit gravy, and cigarettes that seems to coat your clothes and skin like campfire smoke. That is, if smelling like diner could actually be considered a bad thing… If you’re near Spokane, get here!

I go here every Friday morning with my girlfriend for their Friday Special. They say it is a cup of coffee and two maple bars for $ 3, which is already amazing. But if you sit down and eat, they bring you an entire pot of coffee with cream and sugar. So its really like all the coffee you can drink and two maple bars. They have specials everyday, but Friday is my favorite by far. They also have day old donuts like most places. These ones are $ 4 for a «dozen» but when I did it they let me get 14… so they are pretty generous on the day olds. The staff is very nice and really respects us regulars.
