I went into Hoffman’s to pick up various musical things (I know very little about music) for my sister. All I had to do was tell them what she played. They were able to find out what she was missing and put me on the right path. Long story short, she loved her birthday presents and it didn’t cost me as much as other places.
I would recommend Hoffman’s to anyone.

What I saw; great selection of acoustic guitars, brass & wind instruments, electric pianos, music books, up keep items, such as valve/​slide oil, rags to clean instruments, cleaning pipes, & monitors.
They fix instruments, for bigger needs, as far as fixing goes, they ship instruments to someone else. My sister in law and I where chatting with Allan, he was kind and attentive.
Didn’t see much DJ equipment like electric/​digital turntables, synthesizers, Mixing boards, drum machines, etc.
I recommend coming even just to browse. Fun place to look at music stuff.

Back in the ‘90s Hoffman’s was a great place to go. The last time I went there, I bought about 3,000.00 worth of gear. The salesman was unfriendly and not willing to negotiate on price (although I was paying cash). He was actually insulting a couple of times. There are other places to go that will match catalog or web-​site prices, and the staff tends to be helpful and friendly. I will never go to Hoffman’s again.

A friend from high school asked me to fly up to Dj his wedding and i needed to rent all the gear to play records at the reception and do the sound for the wedding ceremony itself: play a cd of wedding music and wireless mic for the minister. chris at hoffman’s helped me pick out the gear i wanted and provided all the cables necessary. a third party picked up the gear and i was excited to see everything i needed was included, (extra needles for the turntables, all power cords, etc). I commend music connections for helping make the events a success for the bride and groom and helped me avoid any embarrassment. if you have live sound needs in the spokane/​coeur d’alene area, don’t hesitate to rent from these guys! and the prices were very reasonable. Thanks again, guys!
